What is your Wireless Security setting on the network? Since you are running Leopard, I may not have the desired answer, but some of the Airport-equipped laptops, like the TiBooks, are said not to support all of the settings. I have an AE network which supports b and g, with "WPA2 Personal" settings and the TiBooks connect with that one OK with 811.b Airport.
Oh, and no way to upgrade beyond 10.5.8 Leopard for PPC machines like the Titanium G4 Powerbooks, as 10.6 and above require Intel processors.
EDIT: I didn't notice this, but the TiBooks may be connecting with WPA encryption on my network, as I have the following display on my settings:

The router is much, much newer than the computer, perhaps some characteristic of the WiFi network as it's currently setup is preventing the computer from connecting.
Try to go back to the basics: set your WiFi network to "b" mode only (i.e., turn off "g") and termporarily remove the password from it. See if the computer will at least establish a connection at that point. Then start turning on one thing at a time ("g" mode, then security, etc).
Not sure what format your WEP key is, but if it's not 10 characters (the minimum for the standard, which constitutes a 64-bit key), you can try making it that long. If it's 13 or 26 characters, it might be a higher encryption than the computer can support.
If all else fails, you could try looking on ebay/craigslist for a copy of Tiger to install on the iMac, which would have software support for more WiFi encryption schemes. Also, it would provide software support for USB WiFi adapters that would also be able to connect to more modern networks.

I have a solution that has worked for me. As I could numerous post on this subject but little in a solution I spoke with Apple Tech Support.
On your Apple machine open the Airport Utility found in Applications/Utilities.
Go to the menu bar at the top of the screen and click on Base Station.
Toggle down to Manual Set Up.
When open select Airport and click on Wireless.
Go to Channel, which in my case had defaulted to Automatic and instead change it to say 1.
Click on Update.
Fingers crossed, go back to your PC and select the little Network icon at the bottom of the screen and your Apple network should now be showing and click Connect. You should now have internet access on your PC.
I'll duplicate this as a new post for those not following this thread.

Ok, thanks for clarifying that for me. Is your AEBS the only wireless router used in your current network configuration? Is it an 802.11n (squarish) or 802.11g (dome-shaped) model? Do you live in an area with a high concentration of other Wi-Fi operating nearby ... like in a dorm or apartment complex? Do any of the devices that are experiencing these drop-offs have this problem with other Wi-Fi networks? Do you have a portable phone that operates on either the 2.4 or 5 GHz radio band?

I know my WiFi connection is working fine but I can't get the Ipad to connect to it. It was fine until I tried connecting an Airport Express using the Ipad, went through the whole tutorial and at the end I got the "unexpected error ocurred" message, I canceled and unplugged the Airport, but now the Ipad will not connect to my WiFi, please help!!

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. iTunes and the App Store are two different apps/stores. I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do. If you want to buy apps - go to the app store. If you want to but media - music, movies, TV shows - go to iTunes.

ZyXEL - PK5000Z. It seems to work ok on my work wifi.

If you are still having problems after all those tips I would suggest trying another cable the one you have may be faulty. An iPhone cable is fine for sync, but wouldn't suggest it for charging. Other than that call apple support, log a problem, and most likely they will help you book a appointment at an apple store.
I use a win7 64x machine and have no problems so I doubt windows is your issue.
