My iPad will not connect to my wifi even though it recognizes it. I have to shut it down and restart it to get it to work. Any suggestions?
It will work one time and the next nothing internet related will load. I have to actually shut the iPad down and then restart it. It works then but the next time I have the same problem. It sees my wifi connection. It like it won't use it. What's going on?
Your mistake was entering your WiFi address. Forget the network, then let the phone find it on its own. Your router should then assign an IP address. It's a good idea to reboot the router before doing this to assure that all services in it are working.

All it saids is that "The Wi-Fi network you selected is not providing an internet connection. Change your settings or choose a different network, and when I select Settings, I just get the list of networks. Nothing which was listed up above in the trouble shooting appears.
Cycle power in your network router. Make sure it has its latest firmware.

My iphone and netbook work perfectly with it. I do have an upgrade to the software on my iphone, but I fear that will loose wifi as well.Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I am currently having the same problem with music that is downloaded to my laptop and stored into itunes/itunes match which is not downloading to my ipad. I had this same problem a few months a go and it was fixed with a update to my ipad but it has happened again with most recent update. The bad thing is I didn't notice until I went to listen to the music on my ipad and it was available. Apple is becoming very unattractive to me. I am in search of a diffrent device.

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

Unable to start sync because iTunes will not connect to internet. Computer is connected but iTunes will not connect. I even deleted iTunes and downloaded again. Will not connect still.
I am experiencing this problem as well.
I have access to the internet and can download songs from the music store but iTunes is being its usual pain in the rear and says I do not have an internet connection when I try to download any updates.
This does not seem to be a firewall issue, at least as far as I can tell, as I have McAfee and both iTunes and iTunes Helper have Full Access in my firewall settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. -

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

I just got new router and had to reset my network settings on IPad. Since then, my ipad will connect onto the main home network but will not attach to my extension booster (netgear) which is linked to the home network. It will also not attach to networks outside my home that it has previously worked with. i have reset the settings again, powered off and on again, updated to the latest IOS update, but nothing is working. Please help, as I can only use wifi in a few rooms in my house and i do not have 3G on my my ipad.Did you try forgetting the network and starting all over again?
Settings>WiFi>Network Name>Tap the blue arrow>Forget this Network. Restart your iPad and then try joining again.
Try rebooting your router. Even though everything else may be connecting to your Network, it might help with the iPad. Unplug the router for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.
Reset Network settings on the iPad?
Settings>>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to start all over again, Tap WiFi in the settings, find your network and enter the password. -

TS1398 iPad will not connect to my wifi, but it will connect to other wifi. iPhone still connects
iPad stopped connecting to my home wifi for no known reason. It will connect to my neighbours wifi so I downloaded the latest update.
I have tried "forgetting" the network, turning wifi off/on, power off/on ipad and reset the network settings.
iPad wifi shows my network and accepts the password, but the "clock" just keeps spinning and never actually makes the connection.
My iPhone is connecting ok, hence this message.
Any ideas? I have reached the end of my knowledge. The network shows IP address and subset mask but nothing else. My iPhone shows different numbers and more info for the router etc.

Because there are currently restrictions that need to be removed in order to allow you access.
To remove the restrictions, you have to click the "Enable ..." button and enter the restrictions password.
