My ipad will not connect to my hotspot on my new phone and I do not know how to delete the old phone? Does anyone have an answer?

Did you look in the date and time settings at all? Settings>General>Date & Time>Set Automatically>On. There are a nmber of users reporting issues with the app store and iTunes connection problems in the last couple of days. I'm starting to wonder it it an Apple server issue but I am having no problems at all.

After learning I was signed out of my iMessage AND my Facetime, I tried to sign in through settings.. After several failed attempts, I reset my network settings. When the iPad turned back on, I tried to connect to my internet and it repeatedly told me my password was wrong. After many attempts at trying the password, and making sure I typed everything correctly, it would NOT connect. I have followed at least fifty websites' directions on how to fix this problem but it will NOT work.... Help?

The correct password is printed on your router's label.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Especially note the section on using WEP security keys. In fact, if you are using WEP for security, change to WPA2. WEP has been deprecated by the WiFi Alliance since 2004 as insecure. It can be cracked in seconds with widely available S/W.

Can you download new apps? If you can, go to the App Store featured tab and do a search for one of the apps that tells you it needs an update. When the app appears in the search, tap on the app icon and the description window for the app will pop up. Try updating the app from there and see if that works.
Have you tried rebooting your router? Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again?

I am currently having the same problem with music that is downloaded to my laptop and stored into itunes/itunes match which is not downloading to my ipad. Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I have plugged my iPad both into my laptop and its charger and it will not connect to the iCloud. It has a notification telling me it has not connected in over 2 weeks and that it needs to connect. My iPad has been working fine for a year on my WiFi, but suddenly will not connect to the internet. Both my laptop and desktop connect just fine. I have tried rebooting, resetting and deleting the WiFi connection to reestablish it, but nothing has worked

This isn't my forte' but resetting the router often works. We have 2 Ipad 1s and over the last year and a half maybe 3x one of them wouldn't connect. I wonder if the roku changed some other settings in your router or pad.
Recycle the router. Thurn it off for a while, then restart.
On the pad, forget your exiting network. This will cause it to search for avaialbe, and reset again. You will likely need to redo any password/ security entry.
Lastly, in settings, general, reset network connections. You will not lose anything.

Sounds like the internet connection or wifi on the phone is not working correctly. I found this article for you to help troubleshoot the issue. These 2 sections in particular:
Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.

Hello dnccoleman, First check your date and time, They should be normal not 2017 or something, Make sure it's the same year and month. If it keeps telling you cannot connect forget your network then re-connect to it.
If that didn't help too, Try reseting it, Otherwise I recommend you take it to Apple.
