Hi there, my iPad will not show up under Devices on iTunes but my iPod is showing up ok. Any help please??
I have the latest version of iTunes - my iPod is working perfectly ok, its just my iPad will not show up in iTunes.

yes i have a solution to my problem only because of a recent phone call from apple they were great.......... in the right hand side of itunes my i pod was displayed. click on the ipod symbol........at the top of the page you will see summary,,,,,,music,,,,,,movies,,,,,,tvshow,,,,,,photo,,,,,on this ipod.
click on music check mark music done and sync

My Ipod Touch Gen 5 will not show up in Itunes but it shows up under "My Computer" help!
I have a new Ipod touch gen 5. It shows up under my computer but not under devices in the side bar like it should with Itunes 11. I'm running the latest firmware for my new Itouch and the latest Itunes. I hope I don't have to uninstall my itunes as I have ALOT of music on it. I dont wanna lose it all. I'm running windows 8 and followed the tutorial to a "T" to try to fix the problem but nothing worked. I did everything except the last step. Even checking my Computer for Updates (Itunes will not run if updates to my PC are needed). Help Please!

Purchase made on my ipad will not show on windows itunes
I bought an album on my ipad and it downloaded successfully but when I try to download it on my windows machine by using the "Check for available downloads" option I get "All purchases have been downloaded for this Apple ID". This has only happened with the last album I purchased.

It may have something to do with a conflict with any antivirus or security software that you may be running. I don't know if you've read this, but here is Apple's support article for Windows. You say you keep fixing the problem - I assume you mean by reinstalling iTunes?

I have windows 8 and the latest software of iTunes on my computer. When I plug my iPad in, it shows up in my computer, but it will not show up in iTunes. After being on the phone for hours to apple who were very helpful i had no luck we triad everthing, While waiting for a call back today i refreshed windows using the upgrade disk i had from my upgrade from windows 7 to windows 8. it did not wipe any files but did delete lots of apps but gave me a list of deleted apps. Then I reinstalled itunes and connected ipad then iphone and it finaly loaded the driver and alowed me to synk with itunes.

Here is what I know/can remember. My iPod has not worked in 3 months! Not sure at what point it stopped but it worked fine for a year. Now when I plug it in it charges just fine just will not show up in iTunes. Sometimes it shows up as an unknown device on my computer and in the hardware device section shows up as unknown device. Thats all I got. I have tried all kinds of troubleshooting. I have took each little peice off and then reinstalled numerous times. I have even restored my computer back to square one. Still not working! I want to cry. I just want to listen to my podcasts again. They are downloading into Itunes just can't get the Ipod Touch to show up in iTunes...willing to try anything! Please help if you can! I have a 16GB and use XP with SP3. I assume all my hardware is good to go since it worked before and it charges through the USB port!

As said in the question, my ipod touch will not connect to the newest version of itunes. When I plug it in, my compter recognizes that a device has been connected, yet it will not show up in itunes. I didn't have this problem until I just updated to the new itunes. Someone help please!
