My ipad will not turn on it has a black screen
I have an Ipad mini and is is totally not turning on or anthing yhe screen stays black can anyone help?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

My mini ipad will not start up at all just black screen
my ipad will not start up
Tap the word Genius Appointment in Kappy's answer, it's a link. Or you can call the nearest Apple Store.
Try a reset first. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. -

Itouch will not turn on just has blank white screen
i have an itouch when i try to turn it on i just get a white display
Let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try:
- A reset:
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- The connect to computer and restore via iTunes if necessary. -
My MacBook Pro will not start up and has a black screen
ON start up I get the start up chimes and a black screen. The keyboard lights up. It is a 15 inch, 2013 laptop running the latest Yosemite OS. I have tried holding down various keys like shift, space bar, option with no fix. I have unplugged all external devices. Any ideas? Thanks, Mark
This didn't help. I was restarting about 16 times and the screen came alive and it worked for several days. I was editing photos in aperture (last time I was watching a video on Facebook ) and the screen froze. After several minutes I forced a hard restart and the screen is again black. I tried multiple restarts, unplugged all the hard drives, tried multiple restarts, tried resetting pram and smc with no return of the screen. On a restart the chime occurs like a normal start but the screen is black. The keyboard lights up, and it acts like the start up screen is waiting for an input but I can't get it to take my password

I don't know if I have a 4 or 4s.
The latest version is 5.1.1. If you are trying to update to 5.1 that is your problem; it can't be done.
As your phone is "stuck" follow the steps here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
It doesn't matter if you have a 4 or 4S, but you can easily check by entering its serial number here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do -
My ipad will not turn on/charge. has been charging for hours. Itunes will not recognize it and i have tried the power/sleep button as well. PLEASE HELP!
Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke. If it hasn't been, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this. -
my ipad will not turn on after using it earlier today has anyone else had this problem?
If you have juice left in the battery, Reboot your iPad. Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (hold past the swipe to shut down bar) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart. It's safe and you won't lose any data.

Ipad will not turn off at all and it still has the buffering symbol
My iPad will not turn on or off. It has the buffering symbol and it has been buffering for hours. What do I do?
connect your ipad to itunes and just restore or update it
if that does not work put your ipad into DFU mode
here are some tips:_
Here are steps to get DFU Mode: Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer. (some turn off iPhone here, I do not) Hold both home and power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, release power button, keep holding home button until iPhone recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually takes 10-20 seconds of holding the home button. If the iPhone screen is black (blank) the iPhone is in DFU Mode.
You can search the Web for even deeper DFU Modes that can be achieved to avoid iTunes Errors, but these techniques cannot be discussed on Apple Supported Forums. -
When tryed to run diagnostic test windows blacked out then blue screen ipad will not turn on now
when I ran a diaganostic test windows blacked out and then the "blue screen of death"........and now my ipad will not turn on ......has anyone had this problem ?...if so...what now
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

HT4623 How come my Ipad will not turn on????
How come my ipad will not turn on for no reason i couldn't turn it back on?
It could be the battery has completely drained. Plug the iPad in the charger that came with it and plug that into a good wall outlet. Wait one hour. It may take that long for the iPad to respond. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
If the iPad restarts let it continue to charge until the battery is at 100%.
If it does not restart you might have experienced some sort of hardware failure. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -
My ipad will not turn on - screen is dark blue
My ipad will not turn on - I have shut it off many times, hooked it up to my computer and updated. The screen appears a dark blue (almost black) when I push home button - I tried to slide to open it and it doesn't open. What should I do?

My iPad will not turn on. I have done everything I can think of
My iPad will not turn on. I have used the charger that came with it an iPad iHome dock and another iPad charger that goes with another iPadit has been on one charger or another for 2 days. I have done a hard reset and even put it in recovery mode and was able to do a restore but it will only show dead battery logo or charging. Any ideas?
Also I was not having any battery problems before this. It would last all day with a generous amount of use.

HT201412 my Ipad will not turn on to charge, the apple symbol appears then it blank out
Ipad will not turn on to charge
Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down (approximately 10 seconds) until you see the Apple logo.
Note: Data will not be affected. -
My ipad will not start up, it has the swirl in the center of the screen and has been there for 30hrs now, what can I do?
First thing to try is a reboot of your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.
