My iPad won't backup even though I have 4.7 of 5 GB available

My iPad won't back up even though I deleted a lot.  I have 4.7 of 5 GB's available.  I tried turning it off.  Didn't work.  Says that I have never backed up, when I have done this many times since I first received my iPad in 2012.  Please advise.  Thank you!

Welcome to the Apple Community.
I think you'll find it means you don't have enough storage available on your phone.

  • My iphone won't backup even though I have plenty of icloud storage

I just recently brought more iCloud storage because I was out of iCloud storage.  However, my iPhone 4S still won't back up.  I show that I have 15 GB of storage and 9.4GB available.  I also show that my next backup size is 5.5 GB.  Why is my phone not able to backup?   The "back up now" option is blacked out and the message shows "this iPhone cannot be backed up because there is not enought iCloud storage avaiable."   But I should have plenty of storage available.    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks for your help!

It's probably refering to your iPad and not iCloud.

I-Photo won't open even though I have upgraded to OS X Yosemite and downloaded the I-Photo upgrader.
But have you run the the iPhoto Library upgrader? It is installed in Applications > Utilities. Launch it and direct it to your iPhoto library.
Which version of iPhoto did you upgrade from?
The upgrader is only necessary, if you have been  running iPhoto7.1.2 or earlier.

  • HT201250 How do you stop a Macbookpro with OSX 10.7.5 from turning off or logging off before timemachine is finished with the backup even though I have changed settings for energy management to "never" shutdown when plugged in to an outlet?

My problem is my Macbookpro mid 2010 with OSX 10.7.5 seems to turn off or logs off before timemachine is finished with the backup even though I have changed settings for energy management to "never" shutdown when plugged in to an outlet?

I had this problem on an IMac and I finally found a solution in an unlikely place. The problem was a security setting. I don't remember right this moment the exact setting and I am not on that machine right now but when I am I will try to retrace my steps to the fix. In the meantime check your security settings and any browser or browser extensions for computer log off settings. These settings are intended to prevent unauthorized use and incidentally screw up your backups. Hope this helps.

  • I am trying to set up the ipod to my email account and it keeps saying it won't work, even though we have confirmed user name and password.  Any advice?

i am trying to set up the ipod to my email account and it keeps saying it won't work, even though we have confirmed user name and password.  Any advice?

Try deleting the account from the iPod and try reentring all the information again.  A lot of times it is easier to reenter the information rather than trying to find and correct the error.
Try Googling for how to setup the email account for your provider on an iPhone.  You can try for an iPod Touch but frequently that does not exist.

  • My "photo's" won't open even though i have used the camera, it says i have no photos or the App fails to open all together

even though i have used my camera, when i click at the bottom left to view my captured images the app closes. when i go to "photo's" the app either fails to open or says i have no photos. what am i doing wrong? i have owed an iphone for 3 years and this has never happened.

Sounds to me like the file is probably corrupt. If you had hard drive corruption or damage, that could easily result in recovered files not being fully intact. If you were trying to recover accidentally deleted files, it's possible they might have been partially overwritten before recovering. There are never any guarantees with file recovery.
Without more information on the circumstances that led you to try recovery, it's hard to give advice on what to try from here. You could always try another file recovery tool, like Data Rescue 3. Just be sure you're taking appropriate precautions when doing recovery. See Recovering deleted files.

  • Ipad syncing to itunes - even though I have an iPod already?

I've got a new iPad on the way - will my current iPod/iTunes a) work along with an iPad, b) will my music library sync to BOTH devices?
    Ta.
    Message was edited by: DaleyUK

The iPad requires iTunes version 10.1 (you don't say which version you've got). Apart from that you can connect and sync as many devices as you like to your computer and your iTunes account, and you can either sync the same or different content to your iPod and iPad. There is some info in this article which gives various options as to how you could manage different devices and their content on the same computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1495

  • ITunes is telling me I don't have enough space to do a backup, even though I have 26 gb free. My iPhone only has 6 gb of stuff on it.

I tried pointing the backups to a 1tb empty external drive, and it still told me I didn't have enough space. All this to try and fix the problem that I can't connect to the cellular data network with my iPhone 5. So far, I have had an extremely negative experience with this phone.

know that is BS because it clearly says 3 GB
Didn't know an iPhone is capable of "BS"! Impressive.  Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide:  Restart, Reset, Restore.

  • My empty folder won't delete, even though I have full admin priveleges?

I have been trying to get rid of this folder that i created not too long ago, the folder is now empty but I am unable to delete it. when i right click>move to trash it prompts me for my password, which i then enter and receive this frustrating message: "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items." I have also tried to command+delete which doesn't work. I have run a permissions repair with disk utility with no luck.
I just want to delete a folder! gaahh! Please help! Very frustrated.
    Trevor

    thanks for the reply;
I checked the info and "Trevor(Me)", "staff", and "everyone" all have read & write priveleges. As for the ownership, when "Trevor (Me)" is highlighted and i click on the gear the "makes this user owner" option is visible but greyed out (unclickable), and that option is not visible at all for "staff" or "everyone".
    Problem still persists =(

  • HT204264 I cant update my iphone because it says there is not enough space even though I have 188 gb of icloud storage available

I cant find photos that I took in 2013 in ICloud but they were there before. I reset my ipad have I lost them forever?

Has the drive been formatted for use with a Mac? If not, there is a size limitation or possibly the inability to copy to it. If it needs reformatting any data currently on it will be erased, so back it up if necessary.

  • When I connect my iPhone (5s) to my computer it says that it's storage is full and that I have over 4,000 pictures even though I have deleted all of them. It won't allow me to add music or anything else either because it says my phone is full.

When I connect my iPhone (5s) to my computer it says that it's storage is full and that I have over 4,000 pictures even though I have deleted all of them. It won't allow me to add music or anything else either because it says my phone is full. I have restarted my phone and the computer multiple times, but it still tells me that my phone is full.

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

  • Why is my new music staying on my iPad and not going into my iCloud even though I have it set up to do so?

I have gone through all the tutorials to get iCloud to back up my music for iTunes, but it still shows I have 5.0GB available (even though I have purchased more), and when I go to "backup" it acts like it's going to do it, but doesn't. I now need to update my iOS but can't because there's not enough storage on my iPad, a bit of a Catch 22. Can anyone help me figure out why my music isn't going to the cloud? Thanks!

iCloud doesn't back up your music as part of your iCloud backup.  iCloud only includes music in two ways.  First, it allows you to redownload previously purchased music for free from iTunes (called "iTunes in the cloud").  Second, if you subscribe to iTunes Match on your computer, you iTunes library (up to 25,000 songs) will be available to download and play on your device anywhere you have a connection to the internet ( see http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/).

With only one cartridge light blinking I would suspect the cartridge, they do rarely fail (much more often for reman cartridges, see here).  Clean the cartridge contascts as shown here.  If that fails and the cartridge is an original HP then check the warranty date as shown here.  If the cartridge is in warranty return it to your dealer for a warranty replacement.
The printer will automatically switch to backup mode if the black (or color in some printers) cartridge is removed.  I do not know if this works with the PSC 1510, some all-in-on devices insist on having both cartridges present.
