My Ipad won't boot up I am just getting a white apple in the center of the screen?

Try to reset the device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

It's just the battery sign - nothing else. I've tried to reboot by holding down both power and home key for 10+ seconds, waiting for the apple logo - but nothing happens. It's plugged into the imac at the moment. I tried to recharge it overnight using the normal charger - but no luck. It went dead during a Skype call with a friend - even though it was powered into the mains - albeit at a low battery level at the time

Could be the battery is completely drained. Use the charger that came with the iPad and plug that into a known good wall outlet. Let it charge for at least an hour. Then, while it is still plugged in reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
If the device restarts let it remain on the charger until the battery indicates 100%. If it still will not turn on Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

See if this lets the iPad start up.

What type of reset were you doing, a soft reset via the home and sleep buttons, or a reset back to factory defaults ? Have you tried another soft reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I can see if we can get your phone back on! I understand how important it is to have a phone. Have you tried this to see if we can get it back on? http://vz.to/1DZhteH . If it is still goes to a red Verizon screen and then to black we might need to do a master reset. While the phone is off try this:http://vz.to/1DZhXkU Be mindful this is the last resort because it will erase everything on the phone. If you have done back up assistant in the past you will be able to get you contacts back. Please let me know if you need any more help.

My Ipad 3 is the same, it must be a design fault cuz I dropped a pound coin on my ipad screen and it shattered and every other week there's a new dent or scratch, though I wouldn't say I'm overly rough with it. I use it a lot, like most do, so accidents will happen and Apple hav to allow for that. I deffently wouldn't say that they are worth the money for the amount of trouble they cause, they r great devices, just far too delicate and expensive!

Yeah, it´s happening in normal 3g coverage area, in fact, i used the 3g to download the iOS but after installing it, the phone doesn't get the 3g anymore.
I tryed the reboot pocess, but it didn't fix it
I haven't tryed the restore to factory settings process,
Is there a way to downgrade to iOS 5.1 again?

I received an Apple Ipad air 2 on Jan 6, 2015. I cannot get it to come on today. It is fully charged and I only get a black screen. Help!

Had a similar problem with an Air 2. For some reason, the battery had gone to 0 from 50% overnight, locked and idle.
Apparently, plugging it in with a 0 battery takes about 15-20 minutes to get to a point where the screen will show anything (about at the 2% battery level).
I had tried everything else (reset, power off, ...). Be sure you're using an Apple charger and Apple cable and try plugging it in and waiting a while.
It's been OK for the last two weeks.
