My iPad won't charge at all  Help?

My i pad wont recharge. It has been faltering for several weeks and discharges the battery even when it is switched off.  Now I cant recharge it at all. It is 18 months old.

Your one of the stuff must be damaged:-
1) USB ADAPTER
2) DATA CABLLE
3) CHARGING PORT (On your iPad)
You must visit nearest Apple servicing center and get your iPad repaired for a little cost. (Cuz your warranty is expired) Source: My experience!
Hope this helps you!

  • My ipad won't charge.  All I get is picture of white USB cable and iTunes Logo.

My ipad won't charge.  I must admit, I did use it until there was only 2% power left and then went and plugged directly into power and not through PC... but it won't charge.  All I get is picture of white USB cable, an arrow and the iTunes Logo.  I have turned off and on again as previous posts but all I get is the picture of the USB cable, arrow and iTunes logo.  Please help...

I have been relatively patient - 3 hours on charge but all it does is show picture of USB cable and itunes logo. It it were charging you would think that a picture of the charge would come up to indicate status of charge - wouldn't you think?

  • My iPad won't charge, reboots all the time and is stuck at 1% battery.

Since last evening, my Ipad hasn't been charging at all. When connected to a wall charger it recognizes that the charger is connected but normally there is a lightning icon that keeps blinking when the Ipad is charging correctly, that is not the case right now. The battery has been showing 1% since morning but its on and there is no low battery alert. Also yesterday the iPad kept rebooting every two minutes, today it has happened only a couple of times since morning. I have tried restore, hard reset, updating the software to iOS6, everything and still no luck.
Has anyone else faced this issue? What could be causing this?
    Thanks
    Priyesha

Yes, we all seem to have the same problem but nobody has offered a solution.  I've tried two different chargers, but it wont charge.  It seems to recognize that it is plugged into a charger and shows the lightning bolt but it's constant not flashing. If I unplug the charger then a plug appears next to the lightning bolt.
It seem that the connector inside the iPad might be broken...or it's some kinda software iOS thing as somone mentioned earlier...but I dont know how to get the iOS to reset when I cant see the screen.
    Any thoughts

  • Ipad won't charge...help!

    Hi folks,
I have an ipad that I use for work that has seemingly given up the ghost. It was low on charge on Friday but I hadn't got my charger so I simply left it in the office to charge down as I have dozens of times before.
This morning I plugged it in and left it to charge.  When I came to it at lunch though it wouldn't turn on. After observing it it seems to be stuck in a loop. It charges just enough to turn on but the boot up process burns off the charge and before it completes the battery dies.
I've now tried half a dozen different chargers which all have the same effect. There is also not enough charge for me to reset it, what do I do?
Why can't it be like everything else and turn on when I want it to rather than as soon as I plug the bleeding thing in?!

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good. If your computer/iTunes does not recognize the iPad, then the cable is probably bad.
Try this first -  Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

  • My iPad mini won't charge at all. I got it for Chrisrmas and it is still in brand new condition and it was fine but now it won't charge at all! It used to charge in an exact position but now it has stopped altogether...Help!!

My iPad mini won't charge at all. I got it for Christmas off my dad and it is still in brand new condition. Until the other day it has been working fine but until yesterday or the day before my charger went all funny. In order to charge my iPad mini you had to put the charger in an exact place and if someone so much as touched it it would stop charging because it wasn't in its exact position. But today I tried to charge it again and I tried getting it in the same spot as yesterday but it is not working at all. I have only ever charged my iPad mini in the wall but I have seen posts about people charging it in the USB in an computer. So I thought I would also try that but that hasn't worked either and now my iPad mini won't charge in a plug or USB and I live really far away from an apple store and I can't get a new charger also because I live far away from the store. So what shall I do?

When and where was the iPad/charger purchased? It's covered by a 1-year warranty.
The problem may be the USB cable.

  • My iPad won't charge after plugging into my computer and after holding down the power and home button at same time for 10 seconds- Can anybody help? Has IOS7.0 but the most up-to-date version

My iPad won't charge after plugging into my computer and after holding down the power and home button at same time for 10 seconds… Can anybody help? Has IOS7.0 but not the most up-to-date version

It's just the battery sign - nothing else. I've tried to reboot by holding down both power and home key for 10+ seconds, waiting for the apple logo - but nothing happens. It's plugged into the imac at the moment. I tried to recharge it overnight using the normal charger - but no luck. It went dead during a Skype call with a friend - even though it was powered into the mains - albeit at a low battery level at the time

  • My original Ipad is dead and won't charge at all. I've tried numerous chargers. How do I know if the iPad is "broke"?

My original Ipad is dead and won't charge at all. I've tried numerous chargers. How do I know if the iPad is "broke"?

Aside from taking it in to a certified Apple Repair shop, this may be a sign that it is dead.  Or there could some kind of damage to the connectors on the charge port.  I am guessing on that part because I am assuming that the other chargers you have used work for other devices.  It may be time to look into buying a new one if it is dead.

  • TS3274 My iPad won't charge. Tried more than one charger.

My IPad won't charge. I tried more then more charger...help. Plus the sound is missing for general purposes...lock sound, etc. already tried to turn on an off.

Have you tried a reset to see if it charges after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
In terms of the sounds, have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT408

  • Battery won't charge at all

I downloaded Coconut Battery and it shows that my battery is 31 months old and has 609 cycles on it. That is a lot, I know and it is probably time for a new battery, this point I won't argue. However, it shows the current battery capacity is 2857 mAh of 4200 (68%). But the current battery charge is 0%.
It lists the AC adapter is plugged in but says that the battery is NOT currently charging. So if it has 68% of its life left, why won't it charge at all? I have read many other posts and whenever someone says the battery won't charge, the advice is to condition the battery. But, I can't condition it if it won't charge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There are several reasons that a battery that won't charge. You can isolate the defective module be swapping modules:
    - external power adapter
    - battery
If replacing those don't work, it's probably the internal power supply.

  • My iPad won't charge using the charger brick

My iPad won't charge using the charger brick

you can try giving your device a reset and see if that helps. Hold down the sleep and home keys, past when you see the red power down slider and until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try. If that doesn't fix it, then time to move onto other trouble shooting.
Usually if an iPad won't charge (presuming you're using the supplied charger plugged into the wall), it's:
    bad brick
    bad cable
    bad outlet
    bad port on the iPad
you can eliminate the first three by swapping out chargers if you have another, swapping out cables and trying a different outlet. If you do that and eliminate the first three, then it may be the port on your iPad. If so, and your iPad is still under warranty, make an appointment at your local apple store and take it in.

My Ipad does not charge at all
I have put it on the wall and on the computer and it simply doesnt work
Doe anyone know what I can do?

    Hello and welcome...
Try a different USB port on your computer and try a different wall socket.
If that doesn't help, probably a good idea to take it in for service. You can make an appointment ahead of time. http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/

  • My Iphone 4 won't charge at all

My Iphone 4 has stopped charging. It started when it had about 60% bettery, I plugged it in to the wall charger and the only thing it did was change the battery icon into a plug instead of a lightning bolt. After that it just kept losing battery until it died. Even when it's dead it'll respond to the charger and the red battery icon with the lightning bolt under it will appear to say it's charging but it won't charge at all nor turn on. I have tried different chords, outlets, even plugging it into my laptop. Before it died I tried the hard reset several times by pressing the home button and lock button at the same time, but nothing happened. Itunes recognized my phone when i plugged it in but it still wouldn't charge. I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me with this problem.

    Get it serviced.

  • IPad won't charge or stay on when plugged in.

My iPad won't charge more then 2% even when plugged into the wall overnight. Even while it's plugged in it'll turn intself off. I've tried to use an iPhone charger with no luck and tried the hard reset with the home and hold buttons many times. I only bought it in April of 2012.
Maybe just call Apple and mail it to them because I may need a new battery?
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi again:
I am fresh out of miracles
If you are near an Apple store, take it in for diagnosis.  Apple is quite good about honoring warranties if there are hardware problems.

  • Hello I went to wipe my 1st generation iPad and then tried to update the iOS now the iPad won't work at all any ideas what I can do?

Hello I went to wipe my 1st generation iPad and then tried to update the iOS now the iPad won't work at all any ideas what I can do?

You can't update the original iPad beyond iOS 5.1.1 so if you were already running that version, there was no reason to wipe the iPad to try to update.
Won't work at all, doesn't tell me the whole story. Does it power up but not respond to anything? Does it not power up at all? Some detailed information in context would really be helpful.
IF the device will not start up, try a reset. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple Logo appears on the screen.

  • Ipod touch won't charge at all

iPod touch won't charge at all - think it's the port on the ipod itself not the charging cord - any suggestions?

    - See:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
    - Try another cable
    - Try another charging source
    - Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, cracked or broken plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store.
