My Ipad won't delete eircom emails for me

Hi,, I can't delete eircom emails from my ipad even when they are ticked is there some other setting?? Ta,,

Logon to the website and see if you can enable IMAP instead of POP3. Contact whoever manages your account for more info.

    Try these in order:
    Kill the email app by double clicking the home button, then touching the email icon until the minus sign appears. Then touch the minus sign. Then, Restart the ipad by pressing home and and power buttons together for ten seconds until the apple appears. Then, after it restarts test the emails again.
    If the above didn't fix it, you can try deleting that email account and re-creating it.

    I do not have Blackberry Enterprise ServerI have 2 email accounts setup on my Blackberry Pearl 8130: 
    1 personal Yahoo account and 1 work account 
    Everything works fine, I receive email for both accounts, all is good.  Except that I get 200+ emails a day on my work account!I do not want to go in and delete work emails one by one or in groups  The lowest number of days I can choose to choose in General Options -> Keep Messages is 15 days (and it looks like that is an overall setting, I would like 2 days for my work account and 3 months for my personal account which is a whole other question) 
    So, I deleted my work account from the Email Settings thinking that all emails linked to the work email account would ‘go away’, then I will just recreate the account later.  BUT all the emails are still in the Messages area, all 1500+ work emails that I want to get rid of. 
    Question:How can I, without going 1 by 1 or in groups of emails, have all the emails in the Messages area deleted that are for a specific email account?I do want and need to keep my personal email on my phone so I can’t just in and “Delete Prior” as it will delete my personal emails that I need to keep on my phone  
    Any thoughts?
    Or does it matter if at some point I end up with 10K emails?  I'm not sure.

    Since you can't do a Delete Prior, the only other options is to hold down the SHIFT button (lower left button, may look like aA) to scroll and select groups of emails to delete. There isn't a way to only show emails from a certain group to delete. You can either delete all at once, Delete Prior by the date, or select groups of messages.

    Been through the wringer on this one. Verizon or local cable  co. have not helped. New iPad will not send out emails while in LTE or 3g, but will do so in wi-fi. Have checked settings, restarted, reset settings, etc. Any ideas would be appreciated. BTW, I have an iPhone with Verizon and it sends out emails with exactly the same settings as the iPad while on 3g. This has been nuts.

    Just found the answer to this thanks to Chris CA. In outgoing email settings, for some reason, the new iPad must have username and password entered even though it says optional. Once I entered that data, emails sent right out! The Verizon techs or my cable co. techs never suggested doing so after many hours of troubleshooting. This forum always has the real "experts".     Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
    This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

  • Apps are black on ipad, won't delete, not installed on itunes

    I just got a new ipad and attempted to sync it to the cloud using my previous itunes account.
    Most of the sync when fine, however, about 20 apps are black and did not install. When I try to delete them, it shows the little x and asks me, "Deleting _____ will also delete all of its data". I select "delete" and nothing happens. The darkened app remains. I tried to sync to itunes on my computer next...  When looking at the screen shots, my computer makes it look like the apps are fully installed, however, on the list to the left all of the dark apps show they are NOT installed. Therefore, I don't know how to delete them on the computer!  Do I actually have to install them all just to then delete them?!
    Also, when looking on my ipad usage, it does not show those dark apps to be installed.
    Any help is appreciated!

    I'm using the same id on both.
    Transfer Purchases is not working for this particular ap.  It has worked fine in the past.
    I get this mssage:
    I've authorized this computer several times.  That is not the isuue.
    I did your reboot procedure as described according to your directions.
    I've even signed out and back in to iTunes on the Mac.
    The ap will not transfer.

    Passwords are changed in the webmail account using a browser.
    Then you need to remove the stored password in Thunderbird.
    Tools > Options > Security > Passwords tab
    * Click on 'Saved Passwords' button
    * click on 'show Passwords' button
    * select smtp:// for the problem account
    * click on 'Remove'
    * click on 'Close'
    * Click on OK.
    Close and restart Thunderbird.
    Try to send an email
    At the prompt enter the Password and select the option to 'use Password Manager to remember this password',
    clic kon OK

    That's weird. I got the email, but when I did, I clicked on the link to verify but it's still telling me it's not verified so I still can't access the app store, even though i've verified it several times. Help would be appreciated, especially since the hotline isn't open because its christmas.

    Yesterday, Aug. 22, Mozilla suffered a massive & complete breakdown in handling Yahoo. Originally I thought it was a virus. I immediately switched to Google Chrome & worked on it w/o difficulty all day long. Yahoo was pushing all data/articles to the left side of the screen. That fixed today, Aug. 23. HOWEVER, the problem with Yahoo mail persists. Out of the blue, it's impossible to delete any Yahoo emails on Mozilla. If you single click to select a list of emails to be deleted, they open automatically. There's no "delete" at the top of the screen to get rid of it. It's very annoying. Somebody's messing with your system (alone). Google Chrome & Microsoft Explorer worked just fine all day. FIX IT!

    YES!!! IT WORKED!!! THANK GOD! Mozilla is so much more fun than Google Chrome--- All my bookmarks were saved & my passwords, too! And now my Yahoo Mail is working beautifully again! What a relief!
