My iPad won't download my video from iTunes

Sometime ago I purchased Amaratine by Enya. There was a music video called May It Be. This is the song from the movie Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring. Lovely tune.
A short time ago, a different video of the same name but a 16 minute documentary showed up on the iPad 2. Now the original video will not download and I cannot think how to get it on my iPad.
Does anybody have a fix? Thanks in advance.

That padlock icon simply means that you have the iPod set to automatically transfer music from iTunes. To remove it, you need to set your iPod to manual transfer.
Has this message always been displayed, or is it a recent occurrence?

If you use automatic syncing, select the iPod in iTunes. There is a row of "tabs" (starting with Summary). Click on Podcasts there. This is the Podcasts tab, where you tell iTunes how to sync podcasts.
Sync Podcasts is checkmarked for automatic syncing. Below that, set up the Podcasts tab to sync podcasts as desired. For example, you can set it to Automatically include all unplayed episodes of selected podcasts. The "all unplayed" option gets new podcasts episodes to sync automatically. Select the podcasts below.
When you click Apply, your selection on the Podcasts tab (and the other tabs... Music, Books, etc.) sync to the iPod. If the iPod was NOT previously set to use automatic syncing, its existing content is replaced.

Yes. Sounds like you are trying to sync the HD version of the TV Episode. You should try to download the Standard Definition copy instead and sync that to your device as HD content is not compatible with the Nano. See here for more information:

To prevent HD versions from being downloaded in the future head to the iTunes Store, click the Purchased link, and then select TV Shows and remove the tick mark next to Download HD when available. You should be able to download the SD version now from under this same page.

you can got ot your local video sttore and purchase movies there that you would like to own. And then you can convert the movies to the ipod format and then sync the video files to itunes and sync them to your ipod. I dont think that i ned to name places where you can purchase movies right?????? That said then you will need to convert the movies.
First you will need to tellus what operating system your using before we offer solutions for you.

Ipod self-erased all music and won't download it again from itunes!!!!

Help! I was updating my ipod with some new songs, and it came up saying that I had exceeded my limit (even though I hadn't) and that ipod was going to make a folder of all my music and call it "harriet's ipod". All well & good- clicked Ok. Then I realised that it hadn't stored any playlists or ordered albums etc so I deleted the "harriet's ipod" folder/playlist from itunes and now my ipod is blank!!! And it now doesn't let me update any songs AT all as it says that there are no playlists, even though there are on itunes... please help!!!

When ever i try to update my iPod this message pops up and says
"Attempting to copy to the disk"iPod" failedyou do not have enough access priviledges for this operation.iTunes could not save to your music folder because you do not have write access.Check the permission on your music folder and folders in your music folder, then try copying this file again."
There is this lock at the bottom of the screen by where is says the amount of space used and amount of space avaliable. i think if i can get that to go away it will work again, but i don't know how to get it away.

HT1727 I purchased an iPad. I also have and existing iPhone. I'm trying to get app purchases onto my iPad. I downloaded the apps from iTunes to the iPad. The apps are on my iPad but are faded with "waiting" below. Nothing is happening.

The apps icon is dim and the word "waiting" or something like that is below. It's like the screen is frozen now. Help!! I can get out of the screen and start over but it leads me to this same point.

Welcome to the Apple community.
Try tapping the app again to restart the download. Downloading from the iTunes Store has been a little problematic of late, but if you keep trying they do eventually download.

Old mini won't download purchased tunes from itunes

After jacking around trying to put in new battery (never got it in because I stripped the screw), I plugged in to computer to charge and it told me "some items in library were not copied to the ipod because you are not authorized to play them on this computer". Computer is the same...ipod is the same. 55 purchased songs are not on ipod now. They used to be. What happened? Why won't they copy to ipod again? Thanks, Sandy

20GB ipod won't download all music from itunes

I downloaded itunes 6.0.5 and now when i update my 4 yo 20GB ipod it says: Some of the items of the iTunes music library were not copied to the iPod because your iPod software is too old. And then it tells me to go to apple.com to update - Then, it does not update any purchased music.
Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Have you run the iPod Updater? You will need a minimum of OS X 10.2.8 to do so.

Getting download error on purchased video from iTunes, help!

On my ipad2 error says "unabble to download "the movie name" at this time. Gives me option. retry or Done.
Movie title page (with movie poster, plot summary, etc) shows with cloud icon for download, but when cloud is touched,it tries to download foe a few secs then gives error. As well, in Downloads area, movie shows as paused, but gives error when attepmting to download. ...no option to delete is available as well. Many thanks in advance.

That's a good question that I've wondered about. The touch screen native resolution is 480-by-320-pixels. When I export from my eyeTV software, it's at 480x360. PERHAPS, using larger image sizes causes the CPU to work harder in resizing the content. This COULD lead to shorter battery life.
