My ipad won't let me trash icloud emails - any ideas?

AAfter I have read my emails sent to my icloud addy Ion my ipad I am unable to trash them. A notice comes up saying can't trash. Any ideas why this is?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Make sure your 5c is running the same or higher version of iOS as the one you backed up. If it isn't you cannot restore the backup until you update the phone. Then make sure you are restoring the backup this way: https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521.
You phone won't need to be from the same provider or have the same telephone number to use the backup, but you will need to be signed into the iCloud account that you backed up your old phone to.

Ipad won't let me configure my email account as iMAP

This is a very strange one. For many years, I had my office email configured to both my iphone and my Ipad with no problems. All of the sudden, and without any change, it said that either the user id or password was wrong. Strange. I deleted the account, and tried to configure it again. It kept saying the same thing ... Until I configured ti as POP (with the same exact inputs!). The thing is ... It is a real hassle for me to use POP. So I tried again and again. Same result: Nothing. I reset my phone to factory settings. And did NOT configure it from back up. It worked! I had IMAP again! Sadly, it only lasted for about a week. Today, I had the same problem again. Any ideas?

I had the same trouble setting up my wife's SBCglobal (AT&T) account. I tried the steps above and couldn't figure out why I wasn't seeing the same entry fields.
I learned that you have to begin from MAIL>Add new account... menu and NOT from the System Preferences>Internet Accounts screen. System Preferences does not seem to allow you to add a POP3 account. You must do it from within the Mail client. I hope this helps someone else find their solution.
I still can't understand why this method is buried so deeply that Apple or AT&T don't document it. Thanks to this forum we can solve the problem and use the app like it should be used.

Just got my ipod and it won't let me type my location any idea why?

This is my first post so I hope I do it right. My iPodTouch come in today. I've installed the newest itunes and OS, mainly so I can download, install and play audiobooks. However, while all these programs are downloading, I thought to update my machine. But, it won't allow me to type in my location. The only letter it accepts is the P. Any ideas on why this happens?

Where won't it let you flip the keyboard? What App? Does the screen rotate in Apps like Safari?
Its up to the particular App to have rotation enabled. If it doesn't then the screen will remain in the orientation the designers set.

What do you mean by "it won't let me," exactly? What happens when you try? Any error messages? How much free space do you have on the device?

The iCloud backup problem could be your internet connection and I don't mean that your connection isn't working. There could just be an issue with the devices connecting to the iCloud servers through your network right now for some reason. You might just have to wait that out and see if you can backup in a few hours or so.
Are you devices updated to iOS 7.0.4?

It is saying searching for network, then Network not found. Changed data cards still same issue. Reset networks and still same issue

Maybe your just in a dead zone of your network.

When I have only one tab/window open, I used to be able to use Command-W to close it. All of a sudden, it won't let me do that. Any idea why that might be?

Sorry. There's nothing anyone can do. The current version of the facebook app will not run on 4.2.1. The iPhone 3G won't run anything higher than 4.2.1. You're stuck.
Maybe it's time to buy yourself a new iPod Touch.
