Have you checked ALL the settings including the port assignments? Easiest way to get those back to is to delete the email account from the iPad then redo the email account. Usually the ISP providing the email account will have instructions on their web site.

Why won't my iPad won't send messages?

My iPad2 won't send message to person I just received from. The send button is blue but not active. When I try to send to send a new message to another person their name is red marked with ! and the send button is gray. It won't accept any new name - alwayas in red with !.

Figured it out. The iPad message box has two lines. The first says "Subject" in gray. If you type something into the "Subject" line, but don't type anything on the next line (which is for the message), the send button remains inactive. Try typing the message on the second line. Send button then becomes active.
Now why couldn't Apple tell us that?

iPad will not send email messages. I'm able to receive message. The error message I keep getting is. The email has been rejected by server. It's my own email address that I'm trying to send a message to.

I am not giving a solution but adding to the problem! My IPhone & IPad have both got the same email account (BT) they have all the same settings. The iPhone sends & receives mail perfectly well but now for some reason the iPad will not send mail?? It still receives mail.
I have tried master resets and re-installing account settings. Nothing works!!
Can anyone help please?

I just purchased the iPad Air 64GB WIFI & Sim model, & I can't get it to send or receive messages. I try sending iMessages to an iPhone 5s with iMessage turned on on both devices but keep getting the "not delivered". I'm on the data only plan so I can't make phone calls, but I should still be able to send iMessages via wifi shouldn't I? It won't do Face Time calls either. Can someone please help....

HT1386 my ipad won't sink; I continually get message: itunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later. I have done both several times and still receive same messaage.

Blackberry Curve 9300 won't send or receive BBM messages

Hi
I have a blackberry 9300 and it won't send or receive any BBM messages for some of my contacts. When I send a message it shows the tick without a "D" or "R" over it and I can't receive messages from some of my contacts. They also can't see any updates I do like status update, display picture update, etc. My BIS is activate because I can go onto the internet and I can use Whatsapp, the problem is only with BBM. I have tried deleting and sending service books but it hasn't worked. I also deleting my contacts and re-invitign them again but that also doesn't work. My last resort was deleting BBM and downloading it again, it also didn't work.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
SMS is a purely voice-level service provided by the mobile service provider, and not technically a component of the BB-level services. Hence, you need to work with your formal support from your mobile service provider to resolve this. If you are paying them for SMS services and they are not delivering them, then they need to resolve that. If they need enhanced assistance, they can formally escalate to BlackBerry for that...but you cannot.

IMessage in iPad won't send pictures to mobile

My iMessage won't send pictures to iPhone numbers. It says delivered then 20 secs later it says it's not and it won't deliver.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem.

Restart your device.
Update to the latest iOS Software.
If you are trying to send a message to multiple recipients and you type in each contact manually instead of using the contacts list, make sure you tap return instead of space to separate each one.

New iPad won't send out emails on VerizonLTE or 3G network, but will do so on wi-fi - help?

Been through the wringer on this one. Verizon or local cable co. have not helped. New iPad will not send out emails while in LTE or 3g, but will do so in wi-fi. Have checked settings, restarted, reset settings, etc. Any ideas would be appreciated. BTW, I have an iPhone with Verizon and it sends out emails with exactly the same settings as the iPad while on 3g. This has been nuts.

Just found the answer to this thanks to Chris CA. In outgoing email settings, for some reason, the new iPad must have username and password entered even though it says optional. Once I entered that data, emails sent right out! The Verizon techs or my cable co. techs never suggested doing so after many hours of troubleshooting. This forum always has the real "experts". I often send and receive texts from my brother (who has a T-Mobile phone) but when I tried to send message to him with iPad2, it refuses and send "number not registered with iMessage" response. You can only send a Message on your iPad to another iOS device. Your iPhone, however, will convert the Message to a text message that can be received by your brother. This has to do withe the fact that the iPad is not a phone.

My messages won't send, then all my messages disappear, I can't make or receive calls, then after a while everything's back to normal? Someone please help

My phone takes forever to send a message, it then after reopening the messages app, will delete all of my texts and iMessages. The app will usually freeze and come up empty with 'create new message'. At the same time it won't let me receive calls, sometimes it will let me make a call but the phone app itself is also then frozen. After 15-45 mins everything will go back to normal and my messages all appear again. I then receive anything that I was sent to me during that time and all my messages then send. I've gone and got an early upgrade from a 4s to a 5s in the hope this would stop and it still hasn't. I heard somewhere that it could be to do with iCloud and it being bugged, would be great if anyone could help

Go through these 4Rs troubleshoots if you haven't done already:
Restart:
1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
2. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data
