My iPad won't stay charged after iOS7 upgrade

Ever since I upgraded my iOS on my iPad 2 it won't stay charged and also takes forever to charge.  Anyone else having this problem?  I'm constantly closing everything that is open - super frustrating.

(A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
(B) Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing will be reset

  • Battery won't stayed charged after latest update on iphone 4

I cannot get the battery on my iphone 4 to stayed charged.  I charged it to 100% before going to bed by morning it was down to 35%. I had turned off automatic push services, made sure there were no open icons. I had spoken with an Apple rep that morning so he instructed me on what I should do.  I've had the iphone 4 since January with no problems at all until I downloaded the latest update ....that's when all my problems with the battery began & my facetime freezes so bad I'm unable to use it & it worked great before the battery problems started.... the battery has lost all charge and I have recharged to 100 % several times and still will not hold charge......any information would be greatly appreciated...I'm so frustrated!!!

  • Ipad 2 slow & acting weird after ios7 upgrade

I never had this problem and even my wifi takes long to even just to go into Apps.  I just did the latest upgrade fixing bugs on ios 7 too.  Nothing is helping.  Does anyone having this problem.  My jusband has an ipad 3 and he is not having this problem!

Apparently, more than a few users are experiencing lags with iOS7, thanks to the added goodies. It's not possible to uninstall iOS7. The only thing is to disable the most intensive parts of iOS7 - the parts that you weren't using before, anyway:

  • IPad 2 constantly rebooting/crashing after iOS7 upgrade.

    Since I upgraded the iPad2 to iOS7 it keeps on rebooting/crashing every 30s - 2 mins.
I have tried doing a factory reset of the iPad2 to make sure that none of the data/apps on the iPad2 was causing the issue - Same behaviour.
Did a restore of the iPad to version 7.0 as well as 7.0.2 - Same behaviour
Set iPad2 up as a new iPad - Same behaviour
Set iPad2 up and restored from iCloud backup - Same behaviour
Set iPad2 up as new iPad without activating WiFi - Same behaviour
Activated airplane mode - Same behaviour
I currently have an expensive paper weight... Thanks a lot Apple!
Anyone know what I could do to fix the issue?!

    Well I'll be,
I tried all the above when this happened to my daughters ipad2 yesterday. For no reason it just started rebooting, no added apps nothing. I tried reset, reboot, restore all everything, tried fresh install all of the above recommendations but nothing worked. Until I saw the last post so I put black tape over the front camera, didn't work, back camera, didn't work, put the tape over both and voila it stopped rebooting, my screen always flashed too before the reboot too in case that means anything, I then ungraded to 7.1 and removed the tape and all good.
I hope this helps someone as I was ready to go to the apple store and pay for a fix.

  • Apple tv won't stay connected after yosemite upgrade

After upgrading to yosemite non of my apple tvs (3 of) will stay connected.
I have upgraded everything as of the 1/12/14 and still no joy.
I have a good wifi connection so its not that!
I have try connecting by playing through the computer to the apple tv and that also drops out!
I have restarted everything and that didn't help!
I have even setup the apple tv as new to see if that would help, nothing!
I have installed the latest upgrade for yosemite which is supposed to be for connection improvement, which doesn't work either as my mouse still keeps cutting out.
I have even tried changing computers and going through my macbook pro ( also running the latest yosemite) and that doesn't work!
Does any body have any other ideas on what i could try?
    Please help
    Dave

Not sure what instructions you are referring to, regardless wifi is susceptible to interference. If your neighbour's network is using the same channel or if yours is not encrypted that will of course cause issues, which is a result of the network not the Apple TV. There are also many other factors that can cause interference.
It is working just fine for me and most users, and if you took it to another network you would see similar results. If you wish to resolve then proper troubleshooting needs to occur

  • IPad2 charging issues after iOS7 upgrade

I recently upgraded iOS7 in my iPad 2, after the upgrade I find that the charging time has increased greatly!  Not sure if this was due to using the iPad while charging. Yesterday left iPad2 for charging all through the night and more (12-14 hrs) only to find this has charged only 3%. The charging issues seems to have degraded over time. I had atleast charged fully (100%) once after iOS7 upgrade-which also took a lot time than iOS6.
All the charging I did was over wall Unit, with original chargers. I see from forums that this seems to be experienced by few more users. Anyone found any solution to this problem?
I have tried resetting, switching off the iPad 2 while charging with no success. I'm now regretting having upgraded to iOS7- which I liked. This is not what I expected from Apple.

I also have a Mac Air 2012, tried charging from Mac Air and it's now charging! Mac Air is now charging from the same wall unit location which I used for iPad 2 - so nothing wrong with the wall unit.
I just wish i could charge as fast from wall unit as with iOS 6.  Any further guidance is greatly appreciated.

  • I currently have a DROID RAZR M and I'm 1 year into my 2 year contract.  Since the Kitkat update, the phone won't stay charged and it's very buggy.  I know this is not Verizons fault but it's also not mine. I would like to change my phone to an iPhone 5s

I currently have a DROID RAZR M and I'm 1 year into my 2 year contract.  Since the Kitkat update, the phone won't stay charged and it's very buggy.  I know this is not Verizons fault but it's also not mine. I would like to change my phone to an iPhone 5s and keep my same plan but switch to the Edge program. Is this possible? I don't think I should have to pay an early termination fee or anything like that since my phone has become almost unusable. I know under normal circumstances you have to wait 2 yrs to upgrade but due to the update and the poor service I'm now getting I hope Verizon can make an exception. Thank you.

How recently did you switch?  If it's less than 60 days, then Verizon simply reinstates your previous account.  The fact that you were on the EDGE plan and mailed the devices back, and they apparently are somewhere in the system, could cause complications, and it might just work out that you just go back on the same plan and they set you up with the same devices.  I'm not sure how it will go - but since you are still being billed for the devices...

  • Do you gotta plug up your iPod 5 gen while it's updatting to ios8? Because I updated mine and it won't stay charged plus it's losing battery life very fast.

Do you gotta plug up your iPod 5 gen while it's updatting to ios8? Because I updated mine and it won't stay charged plus it's losing battery life very fast.

You have not provided enough info to really help. How fast is fast?
What shows it will not stay charged?
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Wiat for an iOS udate since may be  bug in iOS 8

  • My ipad 3 is not charging after ios 5 upgrade

my New ipad stopped charging after i upgraded iOS 5.1.1 , please help. It shows not charging either its connected to USB or adapter.I am using the same adapter and cable that came with ipad.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. Apple Mail client no longer marks my mail as read on all my iOS devices. If I read a email on my iPhone and later open Mail on my iPad, the iPad still shows the email as unread. This changed recently, perhaps after iOS7 upgrade. Did I miss a setting? All mail account are IMA. iCloud is set to push, business mail is set to fetch every 15 minutes.

Read thier own support document on the subject then
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1795
This document was written as an answer to all those who complained about it as paying MobileMe users
They ignored us then and when MobileMe became iCloud they ignored us again, and just carried on with a system that will not update the e-mail read status across all devices
That's how it works,   and like you 1000's of loyal Apple users cant believe it either but there you go
