My ipad wont sync using wifi

I cant sync my ipad via itunes as it says there is not enough space altho there is plenty. I did manage before to sync using wifi but cant now as the "sync now " is greyed out. How ca I resolve this?

If you have been able to sync over WiFi previously, try quitting iTunes and restart the computer, launch iTunes again and restart your iPad and then try again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Make sure that the selection to sync over WiFi is still checked in the summary pane of iTunes as well.

I've plugged my iPad into my Mac (OSX 10.6.8) using the latest iTunes and checked the box "sync iPad over wifi" in the summary tab. I remove my iPad and plug it into an electrical outlet and when i go into my iPad into the "iTunes-Wifi sync" the button to tap on is gray and says "sync will resume when (computer name) is available". The iPad is connceted to the same internet connection as the Mac. It's a new iPad running 5.1.1.
Any ideas?

Having the same issue here since I upgraded to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2. Also upgraded my Mac to OSX 10.8.2 and iTunes 10.7. So all that Apple has recommended. I've been syncing everyday over WiFi since that feature became available. I love it!
Now, the iPhone and the iPad do not appear in the "Devices" list in iTunes anymore, and in my 2 iOS devices, in the "iTunes Wi-Fi Sync" section of General, they both read "Sync will resume when "Pierre's MB Pro" is available."
Anyone else seeing this?

Yesterday I have upgraded my wife Mac to maveriks and her iPad did sync the same books I have downloaded on her iPad... why it didnt work for me??? i don´t know. I have done nothing diferent.

Thanks Gail but ive tried that as well as logging oht and back into my accounts on my iphone and mac but I still get that message. I actually found a solution by unckecking my synced music playlist and clicking sync to remove it and then reclicked on my playlist to sync and it actually synced notmally and I got all of my new songs so I wanted to test it again so I clicked on sync again and the message once again popped up until I did the un-syncing and re-syncing again. I guess I will keep doing that in the future even though its annoying but its better than resetting my iphone.

First off, an iPad is designed to sync with only one computer. Syncing with a second computer erases everything synced from the first computer.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? What happens when you try and what, if any, error messages do you receive? Do you have iTunes 11.1 or later on the computer you want to sync with?

You did understand and yes you suppose to sign in with the same account, that you told me you checked and found the same. If you can't sign in, which is hard to imagine after your description and it gives you that message. That would really mean that no icloud account with your credentials have been created.
1. Lets try to get to that site again. www.icloud.com. Should be a black page with sign in fields. Once you sign in you should see 7 icons, one of them being your calendars.
2 Open those and follow previous directions.
OOOOO Do it on the computer. NOT AN IPAD OR PHONE. Those can't get there.

N80 sync using wifi connection?

Currently sync is only possible using the following means - BT, USB, Infrared, Serial Cable. Given that phones like the N80 have wifi, it would have been natural to support sync using Wifi adhoc connection. Any idea when this will be offered?

I solved it, with a search of this community.
Connect your iDevice to your Computer's iTunes 10.5 using USB
Click your iDevice on the left panel in iTunes
Scroll down till you see the 'Options' section
Tick the option that shows 'Sync Over Wi-Fi Connection'
Click 'Apply'.
You should be good to go. Go to the Options menu on your iDevice and
navigate to the Wifi Sync option. The Sync button should be enabled.
This worked for me.

Can I import photos from iPad to Mac using WiFi?

I know I can import photos from the iPad to the Mac using the USB cable, and importing them into iPhoto. But is it possible to do this without plugging in the iPad - i.e. with WiFi? I couldn't find a way to make it work.
Better still, would it be possible to automatically 'sync' photos taken on the iPad to the Mac using iCloud, without also having photos from the Mac going back to the iPad? My iPhoto archive is now quite large, and I don't want it on the iPad.
Or are there any other approaches?
I really want to be able to use the iPad to regularly "empty" my camera while travelling, and have the iPad transfer the pictures to my main photo archive (iPhoto on the Mac) whenever it gets a chance. If this can happen automatically, that is best. Manually initiating it via WiFi is next best. Mnually initiating it via a USB cable is third best - still not difficult, but more steps.

Ipad wont sync and exclamation point in device manager

I cannot get my ipad to sync with my new computer. There is an exclamation point in the device manager by this device and I dont know what it means. I do not want to uninstall itunes and reinstall as I am afraid I will lose all the music I have put in there......What does this message mean??

Thanks , for responding .I am using windows7 and I have uninstalled the dvd drive and restarted the pc numerous times .When i try to update the driver through windows it does'nt work.I have downloaded all the software for my toshiba L300 from the toshiba website and everything works fine, but Toshiba only provides firmware for the pioneer dvd rom not the driver .
I can't find the correct driver anywhere without having to pay for it .The problem is that my dvd rom was working fine and suddenly it showed the exclamation mark in device manager and shows it as cd instead of dvd ..

IPad wont sync photos

can't get ipad to sync photos, will do the first photo in a folder but the rest are not moved/copied. error comes up saying that the **.jpg format can not be displayed or supported on my ipad. took it to the apple store, they tried the re upload of ipad software, and itunes software to both the ipad and my laptop. even replace the ipad with a newer one, (mine was a wopping 3 days old) its a 64 gig 3G wifi, they said its prob. my laptop, i find this hard to belive, as the same laptop worked with my touch 32 gig less than a couple of weeks ago (lost it and replace it finally with the ipad) any ideas?

Hi - I'm having the exact same issue. Spent over 4 hours with Apple tech support on the phone, at the end the tech told me "oh, my supervisor just handed me a note that Apple knows this is an issue and is working on it. I guess I can't help you" and that was the end of the call.
My iPad is three weeks old, it sync'd photos no problem out of the box, then I let it upgrade the os to 4.2 in iTunes and then the photo sync error immediately started to appear, during the sync I get "1 of 1 copied" when in fact there are 200 photos to sync. So, Apple, what's going on? How do we fix this? I've done the following:
- un-install and re-install iTunes on laptop
- restore iPad to factory and start over
- delete iPod Photo Cache folder
- change security on same folder to remove "Read only"
Nothing works. HELP!!

my dad just updated his ipad to IOS 7, and now it will not sync with his iTunes account on his Macbook Pro. Whenever he plugs it in, he gets the same message
"The iPad cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 11.1 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes."
When he updated his software, wouldn't that have updated his iTunes? Is anyone else having this issue? Is it a glitch with the new software?

Is the device being recognized in iTunes? Does iTunes "see" the iPad? If iTunes sees the iPad - I agree with the above post but take it a bit further, quit iTunes, restart your computer, restart the iPad and then try again.
