My ipad wont turn on and was left on for about 10 months what do i do?
I lost my ipad and it was on. i found it today but wont turn on even if it has a charger plugged in, should i go to a apple store to get them to ave a look?
Use the original charger and large bricklet that came with the iPad. Leave it on the charger for at least an hour, then with it still plugged in, try a reset: Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

You have done the things that I would have suggested. The next step would be to take it in for diagnosis.

Help! My ipad wont turn off and wont open a screen. Just blank with the circle going round and around. was I hacked? Should I let the battery die? I am lame at this stuff.
Have you tried holding down the power and the home buttons until the slider bar shows up to shut down the iPad?

my iphone 5 wont turn on and in itunes it says error 21 what can i do please help, can it be the battery?
Hey pilisaez,
Thanks for the question. The following article outlines restore error 21:
iTunes: Specific update-and-restore error messages and advanced troubleshooting
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694
Error 20, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 37, and 40
These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Use the steps to troubleshoot security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See the steps under the heading "Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store." If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.
Thanks,
Matt M. -

My ipad wont turn on

To turn the iPad completely off, you would hold the Sleep button until the "Slide to power off" arrow appeared, and then slide it off. Conversely, to turn it back on you would need to hold the Sleep button for several seconds until the Apple logo appeared. You might think it was not responding if you did not hold the Sleep button long enough.
If that approach does not help, try holding both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow if it appears. If successful, the iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.
Beyond this, you may need to show your iPad to an Apple Store Genius. If the Genius can not solve the problem, you will probably get a replacement iPad on the spot.

Sorry if my english is bad...I wan anybody to help me to solve my problem...my ipad wont turn on,discharge but can connect to pc with ITUNES..I have Do this step Press home and sleep button in 10 sec but still no reaction..in my place dont hve AppleMall....so what can i do?..please help.
Your English is better than that of most Americans. Don't be concerned.
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
My ipad wont turn on, and reset does not work
My put my ipad to sleep and had just fully charged it - About an hour later went to wake it up and wont turn on. It also wont charge, nor is itunes recognising it. I have tried the reset function by holding down the home and sleep buttons (and have tried for up to a minute) with no response?
Does anyone have any other fix it solutions?
Thanks in advance - hopefully....Read this.

my ipad will not turn on and I have tried the reset process and I have tried to connect it to my computer but it is not recognized by the computer. Not sure what else could resolve this issue and get my ipad to reset?
Did you try to get it working on another computer, see if that does it. BTW have you re-charged it using the 10w power adaptor, it might be out of power.
there's also a possibility that it may be a battery issue. contact apple if problems persist.

My iPad wont turn on and shows the charging battery icon even though the battery is charged
Any ideas?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

My ipad wont turn on and keeps flashing the apple icon
Can anyone help? I tried to do the latest update and now my ipad won't turn on and the apple icon keeps flashing
Try the standard troubleshooting steps in this order:
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds). No data will be lost.
Restore: Connect your device to iTunes on your computer, backup, and then select Restore to Factory.
See here for more details on restore: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201252 -
i purposely allow my ipad to drain to almost 5% and wanted to give it a full charge for about 7 hours. it stops at 95% ; i unplug and reconnect it again the battery indicator shows that it is charging again. should i change my new min ipad from singtel?i just bought this 3 days ago. really feeling regret already. The mini ipad is pretty slow to download apps although i am using broadband wifi
I responded to your first post and assumed that you didn't have a computer. If I was wrong, I apologize for misreading your question.
Did you totally erase the device and not restore from a backup? If you totally erased the device and set up as new, the passcode should not be on the device. -

My ipad wont turn on and just displays the logo
my ipad does not turn on. it will not go beyond the logo screen and my pc will not pick it up when its plugged in.
When you say, "my PC will not pick it up when it's pluggen in," are you using iTunes on your PC?
Most likely you will have to force your iPad into Recovery Mode to get it working again. The instructions are in this link:
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
You you need to follow the instructions very carefully. Even then it may take several attempts to force the iPad into Recovery Mode. Once you get it running again you can Restore it from an itunes or iCloud backup if you have done a backup in the past.
