My iPad zooms in and gets stuck, anyone know why?
Hello All,
My iPad (3? Retina display) keeps zooming in randomly and refuses to zoom out. I don't know if this is a magnify feature gone wrong and I don't know how it does it. The only thing that fixes it is a reboot but I wondered if anyone else knows what this glitch/feature is...?
Any help would be great.

Had the same problem and thought my iPad was a goner. The triple finger double tap saved me a lot of trouble.

Hi - for any photo, info in mountain lion shows a different file size than Photoshop does. I've tested with both CS3 and CS6 on 10.8.2 and get the same problem. This doesn't happen with CS3 and OSX10.4 or any previous versions of Photoshop and OSX. Anyone know why?
this one is actually a really rare symptom of a flaky connection to the ipod on a Windows PC. there's more going on in terms of hardware on nanos and 5th gens than in the earlier models ... so if the connection is flaky to precisely the right/wrong degree, itunes will see the ipod, but misidentify it as an earlier version of ipod.
tracking down the cause of the flakiness can be tricky ... as you already know ...
just checking. have you tried connecting with a different (known-good) USB cable? does that seem to have any impact on the rate of occurence of the problem? -
Javascript is not working in Safari on my iPad, version 6.1.3. Anyone know why?
I have an iPad with os version 6.1.3. Javascript on websites is not working in Safari. Does anyone know why? How can I correct this situation?
It is jquery libraries that are not functioning properly and some of the html. I have Javascript turned on. The website was working in Safari. I tested it in Safari and I viewed it many times using Safari and it worked. I went on to it on 5/8/13 and the javascript/jquery portion and parts of the html are not working. It had been tested about 4 or 5 months ago in several diffierent versions of IE, Chrome, Mozilla and Safari.

Adobe X goes into "Flattening" when printing and gets stuck at 6%, why?
When attempting to print some PDF's Acrobat X goes into "Progress" and sticks on 6% "Flattening" and does not print. when clicking on the programme it says "Not Responding". Can anyone help with this please.

The HTML Config errors that you're getting seem to be an issue with your internet browser. Can I have you start by changing your default browser on your Mac and giving the wireless configuration another attempt?
In order to change your Mac's default browser (preferably to Safari), you want to go to:
Choosing a default web browser
Open Safari (/Applications).
From the Safari menu, choose Preferences.
Click the General button.
Choose your desired browser from the "Default web browser" pop-up menu.
Mac OS X: How to change your default email application or web browser
Once your default web browser is changed to Safari, try to run the HTML Config wireless setup again.

Icloud photos use different amount of memory on ipad and iphone. Anyone know why?
i Recently set up photos library on icloud. I have the same number of pictures on both my ipad and iphone, yet the memory usage is nearly double on the iphone. i can't think of a reason for this. Does anyone have an explanation?
So does that mean, that if I have more available memory on one of the devices, then the pictures will be stored at a higher resolution?
I have both devices set to optimise the pictures, There are the same number of pictures on each device, yet on the iPad they use 150mb but on the iphone they use 300mb
There is a little more space available on the iPhone, so maybe the resolution they are stored at, is varied according to space? -
Itunes 10.6.1 (7) incredible slow and sluggish, does anyone know why?
Itunes takes about 5 min to start and when it startes it's unresponsive for another 10 min after that it acts fine. But if I try to connect to itunes store it's the same thing, about 10 min of hang time. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Any help or tips would be apriciated.Hold down the option key while starting iTunes and tell it to make a new library. Add a few tracks to the test library. How is response time?
Possible reasons for slowness:
Genius or Match (which you don't have).
Many or highly complex smart playlists.
Huge numbers of regular playlists (some people have been known to make a playlist for each album),
Corrupt library.
Other issue such as file permissions.
In a recent discussion about this somebody found rebuilding their library cured the problem. you can do this but you lose things such are playcount, ratings, date added, playlists, etc. -

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

Ever since I updated the operating system, itune doesn't play music on iphone 4. If it plays, it plays only one song and gets stuck. I've tried to reconnect to the computer to see whethere there has been missing portion during the upgrade... but not really. does anyone have the same issue?
What does "gets stuck" mean?
It repeats?

SLOW download on Airport Extreme wifi. Wired is great. The download speeds are next to nothing above 25 feet away. When i stand next to the AEB it is fine. Anyone know why? Doubt ill get another AEB, very unreliable and has been for some time.
No cordless phone (two iPhones and two iPads though). It does have one or two walls on line of sight. A few wireless door security zones. And a large china cabinet that my wife sure wouldn't let me move. Do any of these sound significant enough to drop the dowload from 30Gb to .1GB...while upload stays consistent. I have had better signal strength through two walls 100 feet out from my house, havent tried recently though. I am suddenly aware as my switch is acting up and i had to use wifi on my xbox.

Display image issues
This can include bright or dark pixels, lines in video, or sections of video missing.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Verify the issue is not content related, by viewing different content.
If the image is too dark, adjust the brightness. In General Settings choose Brightness and Wallpaperand slide the slider.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

Keith. Look in settings, general, about. About halfway down the screen is an entry labeled version. If it is anything lower than 5.0, then you wil not get wireless updates. You need to plug your pad into your computer that you set it up with which is running the current version of I tunes to get the update.
When you plug it in to i tunes, be sure to do a backup. Also, the machine will ask if you want to transfer purchases. Tell it yes. This saves your content and purchased apps and music to your iTunes on the computer. When you do the software update, it will then reload that material onto your pad.
If you have taken any pictures on your pad, be sure to upload those to I photo, or whatever photo library you are using so that they are not lost when you do the upgrade.
Once you get to the current version, any future software updates can be done over the air, not requiring you to use the computer. That feature was enabled with version 5. But it is a good idea to do backup and syncs with your computer from time to time. -

When i try to send email from my ipad i get the message The recipient "£)()&&£)" was rejected by the server. This has only just started to happen and I don't know why. Please can someone help. I have tried lots of things now and cannot solve it.
"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done. -
I am batch processing in PS 2014 (watermark and saving as jpeg from ps file). I get the message for some but not all 'this file needs to be saved as a copy with this option'. And then I have to save it manually. Does anyone know why this happens? (It is just a plain photoshop file, a watermark is added, then save as jpeg - the jpeg is saved to a different folder than the original photoshop file.)
