No Mirroring in Ipad 2?
I have IPAD2 and Apple Tv 4.3. I can airplay videos/music from Ipad2 to my HDTV via ATV, but I cant mirror it. When I select airplay to switch from Ipad2 to Apple TV, Mirroring does not show as an option. What am I missing?That feature is not yet available, it is coming with IOS 5

Can mirror on AppleTV, but cannot get sound
Recently purchased three apple TVs and was able to Mirror and play sound yesterday on my apple tvs from my MacBook Pro... however today, no sound, just mirroring... checked sound but, it has Airplay listed as output for appleTVs.
Any suggestions?Okay... tried this and it works. Start mirroring, then play the video... worked.

I have two iPads . One is ipad 3 with ios 6, can not find airplay-Mirror to Apple TV 3 . But it can do it at my friend' s Apple TV.
My another ipad 2 with ios7 can airplay -mirror at my Apple TV 3 .
My ipad 3 64GB already full, so I don't delegate something to upgrade to ios7 .
I am wondering why it can do it at my friend's Apple TV, not mineTry the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device. -

Check the IP address assigned to your iPad (touch the ">" next to your network name in Settings > WiFi). If it starts with 169 then your router has not assigned a valid LAN IP address to your iPad. It might appear to be connected but you will have no success on the internet.
Sometimes restarting your router by temporarily (30 seconds) removing/restoring power to it will solve this problem. If it doesn't check that your router has up-to-date manufacturer's firmware and test your iPad on some other networks to see if it works properly there. -
I've rented several movies over AppleTV, but can not download. I get a message "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later. " i've been trying for 3 days now... anyone with similar problem?
I have the same issue, to temporarily fix it go to Settings > General > Restart. When it restarts the movie should play. You have to do this for each movie for the most part.

i can't find my SAG/AFTRA screener that i downloaded. It is on my computer. My photos are streamed to the AppleTv, but the TV says "you haven't purchased any movies" it's considered a rental.
I am now having the same problem - I cannot find the SAG/AFTRA screener that I just redeemed - however, it is showing up as a rental on my itunes (on my PC). But it is not showing up yet on my Apple TV. It also has NOT yet finished downloading - so does that mean once the screener is done downloading entirely, then it will appear on my Apple TV?

All your media should be in your library, and backed up too. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Have content of iTunes on both Appletvs but can only play on one. Tv menu won't let me choose both locations. How do I correct this? ITunes Home Sharing is on. Multiple Airplay is on from the iTunes menu, too. Thanks, Taking too long to get music!
If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go -

I bought a movie on AppleTV, but how can i download it to my computer?
I bought the movie on the new (black box) AppleTV, but cant download it to my computer. I've tried "Check for available downloads" from the store menu in iTunes on my Mac, but it doesnt find anything to download.

When I use AirPlay Mirroring on my (3rd gen AppleTv), I can see the video on my TV but I Can't move the sound from my Retina Macbook's Internal Speakers to the Tv!!
I tried going to System Pref>Sound>Output>AppleTv, but every time I do that it just Discounects AirPlay all together.
My firend also has a Retina Macbook and a (2nd gen AppleTv). He also has the exact same problem?!
So, Why is this happining??? And How do i fix this problem without having to ShutDown and restart my macbook Everytime i needed the AppleTv ?????

I had this same problem and I think I just found a solution. Turn on your Apple TV. BEFORE turning on the mirroring, change the output audio on your computer to Apple TV in System Preferences. After that, turn on the mirroring and the sound should be coming out of your tv.
Again, if you don't change the output before mirroring it will not work.
