My ipad2 maybe has crashed; all is have is a swirling apple icon on screen

Help, today I synced the ipad 2. It said there was new software so I insalled it. I got an error message. Can't remember what the number was. Now my ipad seems to have crashed. All i get iis the apple icon with a little swirl at the bottom. I cannot turn on or off the ipad and the computer won't resync. What happened and how do i fix this? I am in Europe and apple support is hard to contact with time change and inconsistent phone cell service.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Could also be not enough free space for the iPad to operate efficiently. With iOS 7 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free. For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. For a 32 GB device that is 4.8-6.4 GB free. For a 64 GB device that is 9.6-12.8 GB free.
If neither of these suggestions helps, Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

I can't even get my music from the iTunes library on my old Macbook onto my new one, because it won't let me sync my iPhone 5 with my old Macbook, as I can't update the iTunes software. As you have more than 1 computer authorised then you should be able to log into your account on your computer's iTunes (Store > View My Account) and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

You have to activate it with your Adobe ID.
In case the CC has been activated two time, you will have to use the option to deactivate the CC from previous install .This prompt will appear when you will try to activate the CC. Once you choose this option it will allow you to activate the CC on the new machine.

I bought an ipod touch for my son. He now has an iphone and gave the the ipod touch. I went to reset it and after it reset, all that comes on is the apple icon. You can do a hard restart but after that, it does the same thing. I doesn't even show up in devices under itunes. How can I reload everything like new through teh computer? I called service and support but they want 149 to fix it, i just as soon buy a new one for that price.

This is the latest version. I used the uninstaller tool and did a fresh reinstall. I did not delete all the directories from the old setting, so that might be next, but I feel like I am grasping at straws here.
The firefox installation is also the latest version. I am on Windows 7 x64. Dual Xeons.
I do notice the flash control panel says (32 bit), which seems odd.
I read where it said to try turning off hardware acceleration, but I do not have such a setting in my CP, and I cannot get the flash player to work long enough to use the old settings panel.
Can someone give me some steps to isolate the problem?

OK, now. I have not used facebook on firefox in a few days, and I have not seen the flash crashes.
In fact, no firefox crashes. But I now have 20 in the last 5 minutes.
Not flash, however.
Could be something else, or this could be all related.
Flash is working on my fitbit dashboard, so that's just *not* the problem. Or not at the moment.
This crash dump is quite a bit different from the last one.

Flash plugin crashes a lot more frequently since I updated it (the past month or so??) I have tried the latest Firefox version 3 and updated it to version 4.
I have tried all the solutions given such as complete uninstalling or changing the integer to -1

I'm not sure anyone here knows more about the Java plugin than you do...
Were you starting the control panel from disk as administrator because it didn't work starting it through the Start menu (if you have Control Panel set to View by Category, the Java control panel is under "Programs").

Someone recently noted a problem staying logged on the Huffington Post since it became connected with AOL. The workaround for that is to change your connection setting here:

Click the "Settings" button and choose either "No Proxy" or "Use System Settings" option, and OK the change.
Not sure whether Washington Post could be affected by that same setting.
In reviewing your extensions, I'm puzzled that you have both DoNotTrackMe and SavvyConnect. The first one seems to aggressively block certain communications with websites (potentially affecting functionality) while the second one seems to report on your browsing habits (they better pay well is all I can say). Have you tried disabling both of those to see whether that has any effect?

It may take a while to download, prepare and install the update. The line under the Apple logo is a progress indication. Give it a bit of time but if it still fails to update, you may can do the following...
You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.
If that still doesn;t work, you may need to restore your iPad. Follow these instructions.
