My ipad2 network carrier is restricted and i a got it without any data provider plan

i got my iPad2 from UK online store without a carrier data plan and when i inserted a my SIM data card it gives me a meessage that the network is restricted.
is my ipad2 locked ?

The iPad itself should not be locked as they generally cannot be locked to a Carrier. The 'Network Restricted' message may relate directly to the Carrier this particular SIM is with? Have you tried contacting them directly to enquire if there are restrictions on the SIM/Account at all?

It seems to me this would be a simple process anyone know the answer? I have windows xp and can seem to move everything else around without any problem just seems to be video as the problem?

Is it possible to convert Java to EXE and run this EXE file without any JRE

I have GCC/GCJ for windows but dont know how to work with it... it creates file with .o extension but i m not able to create .exe from that... i installed mingw for that also .. unsuccessful ...
tell me the solution for it... i want to generate machine dependent exe from java file...on the web i ve seen that GCC/GCJ is used on linux platform..not cleared properly..

Product Revenue Bookings and Backlog Dashboard does not display any data

Product Revenue Bookings and Backlog Dashboard does not display any data even though the load completed successfully.
They are able to see just the parameters.
Not sure if the upgrade of the database from 9.2.0.6 to 10.2.0.3 is a factor.
What can I check?
Is there some table to verify that the data exists for display in the Product Revenue Bookings and Backlog Dashboard?

Support suggested to create a new request set and run the initial load with load all summaries option; but there was no change in the Product Revenue Bookings and Backlog Dashboard.
Any ideas?

We have faced the similar problem after the upgrade to 10G
What we did was
Ran the initial load of time dimension, Item setup request set, and the request set of all the dash board in the clear and initial load mode..
we were able to get the data once the clear and load is completed successfully

Apple denies replacement due to apparant water damage, wetness indicator is white, iphone 5 has been searching for a network for 5 days and its never got wet

So my iphone is about 5 months old, over the last week it has been searching for a network signal. Yesterday i blew inside the sim tray to as i thought there was something stuckin there (stupid i know) but today apple denied replacement due to water damage. theres no water damage and the wet indicator is white. any advice on what i can do?? as i know it hasnt been submerged in water or exposed to water the phone was broken before i blew in it...the phne works fine its just not picking up a network

Take it back to the Apple store and ask for an explanation as to why they believe there is water damage. They should be able to show a water sensor that has been affected.
If still unhappy with the explanation, ask for a manager.
IF that does not get a satisfactory resolution, contact Apple customer care.

Can I sync my calenders and contacts on multiple computers without storing data in the cloud?

You need to first back up your iPhone with iCloud and/or iTunes. When you Set Up as New iPhone, it will be erased of all the data, and be like a New iPhone. Then you can Restore your previously saved data from iCloud or from iTunes on your computer. But back up first.

I am trying to edit a home movie on iMovies but when I try to download the movie from a dvd a message comes up saying there are no importable files. The DVD is the last in a series of 5 and the others have downloaded without any difficulty.Help?

Chris , thanks for the prompt reply. The dvd was produced by a third party that I found on line . I had a number of old mini digital video cassettes from a Sony Handycam. I can play the DVD's on my laptop but I can't edit them on iMovies to delete a lot of the rubbish on them. I have five DVD's and three downloaded without any problem but the last two are according to iMovies non importable.

You have lost all your data, but hopefully you were backing it up with iCloud or iTunes. You can try this:
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

IPhone, iPod and iPad to MacBook sync without erasing data

I'm a happy owner of MacBook Pro now.
But I stuck with a problem of transfering my music, playliss, photos, apps and books from my iOS devises (iPhone, iPod and iPad).
I know that iTunes desined to avoid of syncing one devise with two or more computers to keep the copyrights. But I have many media I didn't purchased on iTunes, I had it from my CDs and DVDs. But I've got quite a situation that my old PC broke down and erased all its data. So I can't just sync my old laptop with the new one. So, how to copy files from my iOS devices to my Mac?

If you copied your iTunes library from your Mac to your PC per the instructions included with this link, any music that was purchased from the iTunes store with your iPhone was in your iTunes library on your Mac before being transferred to your PC and the same for any 3rd party apps downloaded/installed direct with your iPhone, and you have authorized the PC with your iTunes account with iTunes, no iTunes content on your iPhone should be erased with the first sync with iTunes on your PC.

Is it possible to port a number out and port a number in without any disconnection?

I have a second line for a family member and they will no longer be on my plan. The issue is they would like to port their number but I am still under contract with that number. I'm having someone else take over the line. My question is it possible to have the Verizon number ported out and then have a new number ported in? I'm not trying to have the line disconnected as someone else will be using the line and would also like to have their number ported in.

Lets get these numbers ported in and out! I am sorry but if you are going to port a number out the line will be disconnected. As the port process is completely taking the number from VZW to another company it is necessary for the line to disconnect for the port process to complete. If you would like to just port the number in and have it take over the line that is currently in contract you can do that. Let us know if you have any further questions.
