My ipad2 wont sync/recognize with my itunes. Helpppp!!
Hi, i own a ipad 2 wifi+3g. Work well at first but recently, it cannot sync with my itunes. Itunes wont recognize it. Tried reinstalling my itunes but still the same. It wont even charge using the wall adapter. all it says was 'not charging'. Help! Tried on other OS (windows 7), still the same result. Need help urgently. Thanks.
Hi paul, thanks fr the reply. I forgot to mention that im using OS 10.5.8 Leopard. And my itunes is the 10.5.3. I tried following the instruction where u delete the file from the Library (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1747) but still it wont work. I tried deleting the appleMobiledevicesupport.pkg but i cudnt find any on my itunes library folder. Is it because that particular itunes version dont have that file? Im at my wits end here.

The first thing that has to be done with a new iPad is to activate it via iTunes. What version of iTunes, and what spec computer, have you got ? The iPad's minimum requirements are (from http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/) :

Trying to get my iphone to sync/recognize with itunes.
Upgraded OS to 10.5.5 and now my iphone will not show up in itunes.
I have itunes 8.0.1 and latest iphone update installed. Tried restarting computer and phone, changing USB ports but nothings works. I have another computer with 10.4.11 and itunes 8.0.1, it works fine.
Anybody had this problem and solved it? Thanks in advance! Any help would be greatly appreciated.Try downloading the current iTunes installation and re-install it over the existing.

i loaded my phone on my old mac book and have since replaced that book with a new a new one. I have new music that wont sync up with my phone. Anyone have any ideas?

Recently got a new iphone but when i tried to sync it with my itunes, all my music appeared with a cloud beside it and doesnt play. Do i have to download each individual track by clicking on each cloud or is there an easier way? I have over 1000 songs!!!!

The two user tips both describe a sequence of steps that should get your library from the point where it threatens to wipe data from your device to where it is syncing normally, while recovering as much information as possible. It may still be necessary to wipe and reload the device but this should only take place once all the data that can be recovered has been recovered.
Doing step 1 of 8 and then complaining things aren't the way you want them to be yet strikes me as premature...
Since you appear to have all your media content, and we are discussing an iPod classic, not an iOS device, the main worries are already taken care of. What's left is ratings, playcounts, playlist membership and checked status. Since your device holds only part of your library at best you could only recover the missing data for the content that is on the device using third party tools.
Recreating the previous checked/unchecked status of every track in your library from where you are now may not be that easy. Syncing with selected playlists has many advantages, one of which would have been that you would have a named playlist that could have been retrieved by 3rd party software if you had used this method.
You haven't explained what caused your problem in the first place, but if you have a Previous iTunes Libraries folder holding old copies of your iTunes database (generated with each iTunes update) then it would be possible to restore the most recent of these and then update the library with any changes in your media folder.
BTW Apple doesn't offer free support for this kind of issue with iTunes.

Keep in mind that with the iPhone, you can sync all iTunes content with only one computer. Trying to sync iTunes content with a second computer will result in iTunes erasing the content from the first computer. However, non-itunes content such as contacts, calendars, mail settings, notes, etc. (anything in the Info pane) can be synced from another computer.

When you saw this dialog box, did you choose "Erase and Sync"?
If you did, your iPhone was erased, then your iTunes Library was transferred to it. If your iTunes Library was empty, your iPhone will be also.
Your previously purchased music, apps, books, and videos are still yours. You just have to download them again.

I have a new iPhone 5s. When I try to sync it with my iTunes account it is unable and advises to update iTunes to version 11.1. Whn I attempted this iTunes advised that the current version I have (10.6.3) is the most up to date!
If you're on a Mac, you need to upgrade it to Mac OS X 10.6.3 and then 10.6.8, which requires that it has an Intel CPU and at least 1GB of RAM.

To sync contacts with my computer, I choosed "Sync Contacts with" within iTunes for Windows Outlook and Its suncking but contact is not showing in the Oulook contact.
Do changes/additions to the contacts list in Outlook appear on the iPhone?

Ipad already sync'd with other iTunes Library
We recently upgraded our PC to Windows 7 and now when I go to sync my iPad I get an error message that my Ipad is sync'd with another iTunes Library. I have read a few disucssions on this but am still not clear on what to do. Before we upgraded I did not do a recent backup because the PC was not working well. I just recently did a back up but am not sure what to do next. If I sync will I lose my photos music and everything else? I have quite a bit of information on my iPad that I do not want to lose. I also can't upgrade to OS 5. Guidance is much appreciated on how to be able to Sync my iPad again.
