My ipad3 can't reduce photo size for email.

Here's two apps you can use or get Apple's iPhoto for the new iPad.
Simple Resize http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/simple-resize/id327776379?mt=8
Photogene  http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photogene-for-ipad/id363448251?mt=8

  • Reducing photo size for email

I'm stumped ... how do I reduce the size of photos for e-mail?

If you are using a client supported by iPhoto you simply select the photo(s) and click email - one of the options is JPEG compression and another is photo size
If you are using Apple Mail then you have a second selection available in the lower right hand corner of the mail create window
If you are using a non supported client including a web browser then you must export the photos first reducing them as part of the export process

If used amount is 750MB then yes you can resize to 2G.
    Try issueing the following (example)
    SQL> alter database datafile 'c:\oracle\ora92\ORCL\userdata01.dbf' resize 2000m;
If it is not possible, oracle will complain with error number ORA-03297.

  • Reducing document size for email

Hi, I am trying to send an email attaching 15 pg doc. It keeps rejecting saying file is too large. Can I put all 15 pgs in 1 attachment (currently 15 attachments) and reduce the size somehow so it goes through?

iPhoto does not work on photos that are not in its database
in iPhoto you can select a photo and click on mail (if you have configured your iPhoto preferences for your mail client) and select actual, large, medium or small as the size to mail - if you are using the mail program there is a similar menu in the lower right hand corner of the compose window
If none of those options work in iPhoto you can export (file menu ==> export) and set the exact pixel dimensions you want - for "good" quality I would want at least 200 dpi so the resulting JPEG would need to be at least 1600 x 2000 and 2400 x 3000 would be better
I certainly would use a JPEG rather than a TIFF to get the best quality relative to the size
TIFFs give a small quality improvement for a large size increase

  • Reduce photo size

I have tried following all the possibilities for reducing a photo size for email.
I do not get any options for reducing the photo size when I attach a photo in an email, I get no pop up boxes or choice to reduce the picture size.
    Any clues please

if i get the question right - you have phtos on your pad, and want to up[load them to somewhere, but they are too big.  if that is the case, here is a workaround - until somebody smarter comes through with the right solution.
Mail the photo to yourself.  I just mailed a photo that was in i photo at 4.1 meg to myself.  When it arrived, it was 104 k.
If you mail it from the camera roll it will also reduce size.  you can then save that new image, and upload it.

  • How can I reduce the size of a photo proportionally.  With my old Mac mini I was able to place the pointer on the bottom right corner  hold the shift key until I achieved the desires size.

How can I reduce the size of a photo PROPORTIONALLY?  With my old Macmini I was able to place the pointer on the bottom right corner of the picture, hold down the shift key and move the pointer to achieve the desired size.

You'll need to use a 3rd party editor like one of these:
Some Image Editors That Support layers:
    Photoshop Elements 11 for Mac - $79
    Rainbow Painter - $30
    Imagerie - $38
    Acorn - $50
    Pixelmator - $60
    Seashore - Free
    Portraits and Prints - Free
    GIMP for Mac - Free
    Xee 2.1 - free
My personal preference would be for Photoshop Elements for Mac. Most of these will let you select and copy a head from one photo, paste it into another photo, resize and place where you need it.
PSE has a specific feature just for that function.  I belive the Adobe site for PSE has a demo video of that feature.

What format are they? Tiif? Jpeg? You can compress them with a lot of apps - including Preivew and just about any graphics editor out there. I'm not sure that 45mb would crash iPhoto thogh, are yo sure that's the cause? I know that some folks have mentioned pixel dimensions causing issues, as can color profiles.

  • How can I reduce the size of a pdf file for emailing?

I want to send a pdf file which is 8 mb, it has bounced in an email because it is too big, how can I reduce the size of the pdf file for emailing?

Sometimes a simple "Save As" will reduce the file size slightly, but probably not enough to pass the <8 mb threshold of your recipient, as you need.
You've probably seen it, try the next option in the Save As menu, "Reduced Size PDF," and make it compatible with the latest version possible, again considering the recipient. This suggestion assumes Acrobat X. You don't say which version you're using, but this tool was available at least going back to Version 8, but in a different place, you'll have to hunt.
If all that doesn't work, you could remove some images from the source document, which also will reduce the overall size.
    Best luck.

  • Why is my word and pdf files so large? How can I reduce the size?

My document contains mostly photos from a database via a path to the actual jpeg photos on disk.
There are 39 jpeg photos + a small amount of text with each photo.
The 39 jpeg photos on the disk add up to be 5.79 mb.
If I export the crystal reports document as [Microsoft Word (97-2003) Non Editable] the, the file size is 36.8 mb.
If I export the same data as a [Microsoft Word (97-2003) Editable] the file size is only 3.1 mb.
That is a difference of 33.7 mb! Why?
Also, when I export the same data to a PDF file it is much larger than I think it should be; 12.7 mb.
Why is my word and PDF files so large?
How can I reduce the size of the word and PDF files? (without reducing the photo quality).
Are there any tools to post process the Word or PDF files to reduce the file size?

You can't, extra size is to hold the details

  • Can we reduce the SIZE of the text in TEXT Module?..Smart form

    Hello,
Can we reduce the size of the TEXT module in Smart form.
As the text that I am putting in the Text Module is taking more space and it is displaying in the  next page.
What are the steps that I can take to display the text in the same page.
    Regards,
    Kittu

    Hi,
you can do these by two ways,
1->  By reducing the font size
    2-> reducing the line spacing
both can be adjust in Smart Style what you are using.
If you not using any style for this, default style will take.
    Bye

  • How can I reduce the size of "Other" usage?

I  unable to update my IOS because "Other" memory usage is too high and I have insufficient memory available for the upgrade. What does other include and how can I reduce its size?

You can update using iTunes on your computer, which will bypass the space requirement that is imposed on over the air downloads.
To reduce the size of other, back up the phone, restore it using iTunes, then restore your backup. That should get it down to a reasonable size.

  • How can I reduce the size of IPhoto ?

I have tested IPhoto with a few hundred pictures.
I do not find this software very user-friendly, in particular because I can no longer locate the files of these pictures. I kept fortunately a copy of my complete set of my photo collection.
I removed all pictures from IPhoto, but the application shows a size of 600 Mb.
How can I reduce the size of IPhoto and recover this storage space?

    patrick
in particular because I can no longer locate the files of these pictures.
There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
    1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. Show File: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
Rolls in the iPhoto Window (View -> Film Rolls) correspond exactly with the Roll Folders in the Originals Folder in the iPhoto Library Folder. You can move photos between Rolls, you can rename rolls, edit them, create them, as long as you do it via the iPhoto Window. Check out the Info Pane (wee 'i', lower left) the name and date fields are editable. Edit a Roll Name using the Info Pane, the Roll Folder in iPhoto Library Folder/Originals will also have the new name.
You might also like to explore the iPhoto tutorials at http://www.apple.com/ilife/tutorials/iphoto/index.html
Use the Get Info window to remove unwanted language resources.

  • How can I reduce the size of the jvm?

I would like to decrease the size of a jvm; I've found a program that makes it, but you don't know how does it works (and you have to pay for it), I'm talking about VM Optimizer 2.0, from Invirtus.
Can anyone tell me how can I reduce the size of the jvm?
    Thanks a lot.

I assume you mean the size of a JVM instance in memory and not the size of the JRE which is on the disk.
I don't believe that there is any way at present for your Java code to change the amount of memory available to the JVM. This shouldn't matter too much, though. Firstly, you can control the size of the JVM from the command prompt with the -Xms and -Xmx options. Secondly, any remotely reasonable operating system is going to wait until the JVM has requested memory before allocating all of it. If you start a JVM with a 2Gb heap, it does not occupy 2Gb of physical memory straight away.
Finally, I did a Google on InVirtus VM Optimizer and must request some information. What does that software have to do with Java? It's designed to reduce the size of a virtual computer as created by a prorgam such as VMWare. It has nothing to do with the Java virtual machine.

  • How can I reduce the size of some apps like Facebook, Twitter,whatsup..etc..as they eat a lot of space on my iPhone 4s ?

How can I reduce the size of some of the key apps likeTwitt Facebook, whatsup etc..I have a iphone 4s 7 GB?

Its frustrating. I also have this problem with Dropbox, a great service but they dont have a 'delete cache' button. Dropbox told me to log out and back in again but nothing. If i delete the Dropbox app (And Facebook app and Twitter) and then re-install its back to its original size
If you go into settings/general/usage and see all the apps, press the app for Twitter (Or Facebook) and you'll see how much extra the app is keeping under 'Documents & Data'
Delete those apps and re-install and the documents and data will be 0 and the app back to normal.
Its frustrating as some of these apps can get huge, after viewing a video my facebook app went up to 450 meg ! Same for twitter. I tend to use 'Twiterrific' as the app size doesnt get silly unlike the official Twitter app
