My iPAD4th Gen is stuck on the apple logo

And yes I've already tried hard reseting it by pressing the on/off and home button for 5-9secs. After I've did that the logo disappears as if it's going to turn back on again, the logo appears again but then it just stays there for a couple of secs and turns off and then back on again?? if that makes any sense.
It kinda like
Logo on -> hard reset -> logo off -> logo on (for a couple of secs) -> logo off -> logo back on and it just stays there.
I've also tried connecting through my lappy to itunes but itunes isn't recognizing the ipad and the ipad is still stuck on the logo.
Help!?

  • My Ipod Nano (3rd Gen) is stuck on the apple logo and I don't have a computer or iTunes to fix it

Says it all in the title. My 3rd Gen is stuck on the apple logo and with no computer or iTunes how am I to fix it? I'm in some money troubles at the moment and I dont have that many resources available to fix my beloved iPod. I have tried resetting but it comes back to the logo and then it dies of battery.
    Any suggestions?

If you have an Apple Store, near you, make an appointment to take it to them. If it's not a hardware failure, they may be able to help.
    Regards.

  • My iPod touch (4th gen is stuck on the apple logo when you first turn it on?

So, my iPod has been acting weird since I updated to iOS 5.1.1 It gets fully carged and dies in three minutes. Well now it gets stuck on the apple logo at startup. It does the apple logo and shuts off and goes to the apple logo again. It does this repeatedly. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried resetting it multiple times, delete all the apps, all the music.

Hey Edgar, how exactly did you do the updates? Are you running iTunes 11.2.2? And you iPod 5 is still running iOS 6.1.2 as your tag shows? or are you running iOS 7.1.1?  More info would be helpful. As Deggie asked, what was the error message, the more detailed the better. One more thing-- is this a Mac machine or a PC? Cheers.

  • Ipod 5th Gen is stuck on the apple logo with the loading bar not moving

So I recently decided to restore my iPod 5th gen to factory settings, because I plan on selling it to a friend. When I chose the option to erase all data and reset settings, the iPod turned off, and then came to the black background with the apple logo in the middle. After watching it turn on and off, and not do anything for at least an hour, I searched for answers on the forum. I found that I should reset my iPod by holding the center button and the top right button at the same time for at least ten seconds, or until the device shuts off and then the apple logo is visible again. After I did this, once again, the black background with the apple logo popped up, this time with a loading bar beneath it. After an hour or two of checking on the progress bar, I noticed that it had not made any progress whatsoever. It had not moved an inch since I first started it. What do I do?

  • IPod Nano 5th Gen is stuck on the Apple Logo, won't go into disk mode and won't connect to computer.

My iPod Nano 5th Generation won't turn on; I've held down "Menu" and the center button which makes the Apple logo come up, then it just stays on that. I've followed steps I've seen on here trying to get it into disk mode by holding down the "Play/Pause" button and the center button immediately after the Apple Logo appears but it doesn't respond to that at all. I've charged it and upgraded my iTunes but nothing seems to do anything to it. When I plug it into my computer there is nothing to say it's plugged in on iTunes or My computer or anything. It's driving me crazy and I'm hoping there's a way I can fix it without it having to be sent off.
    Any advice would be cracking!
    Thanks,
    Tilda

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having the same problem and can't figure it out.

  • My ipod 4th gen is stuck on the apple logo. Happened while on low battery, then i plugged in. iTunes nor the computer will recognize my ipod. I have Jailbroken with absinthe. Please help

so yeah, whats in the title. Holding the power and menu button wont work. Jailbroke with absinthe green poison for ios 5.1 it was working fine until i plugged it in at low battery. Then the apple logo thing happened. my laptop wont recognize it, itunes wont either. HELP!!

Or to not be a jerk like the guy above, try recovering it through itunes.
    Step 1
Open iTunes and connect the iPhone via USB.
    Step 2
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.
    Step 3
Continue holding the both buttons until your iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone/iPod in recovery mode.
    Good Luck!

Ok i just got this on Christmas n been working fine...this is the first time the battery been so low and i threw it on the charger and its just turning on and off and staying at the apple logo screen dont no what to do......HELP ME PLEASE!

    1. Plug your iPod into your computer.
    2. Perform a hard reset by holding both the Home button and the Power/Sleep/Wake button until the screen goes black and shows the Apple logo. Release the buttons.
    3. Wait for 15 minutes. It could take less time. Your iPod will make a sound and will show the battery logo.

I've spent hours on this and it's driving me crazy. I've repeatedly tried going into recovery mode, DFU mode, and restoring (even using custom firmware) but it just won't work. Is there anything at all I can do to fix this?

  • My 5th gen nano is stuck on the apple logo

Okay, so I have been at this for awhile and have come to this: my nano 5th gen is stuck on the apple logo. It comes up in iTunes, when I go around the wheel it clicks, when I press a button it clicks, I have restored it several times both from the apple logo and disk mode... Oh and apparently it also syncs but stays while in iTunes but doesn't show on the device (just the darn apple logo)... anyone have any ideas before I go to the store... I am pass all the repair and warranty stuff so I guess it's open season on this thing... It can't get any worse so it can only get better, lol. Any ideas on what to do? BTW, it went through the washer and dryer in the same trip... lol. I am guessing it is completely dead but then I won't have gotten as far as I just mentioned... Help?

  • My 4th gen Ipod nano keeps getting stuck on the apple logo.

My 4th gen Ipod Nano keeps getting stuck on the Apple logo screen, this happens everytime I plug it in to charge. I plug it in, an apple logo comes up, and it stays like that the entire time its plugged in. To get it to unfreeze, i have to press random buttons and unplug and re plug in earbuds. After 20-25min of doing this it unfreezes and I come to find it has gotten little to no charge after being plugged in for hours at a time. Any one else have this problem, and if so what do you do?

This can be a corrupted software/firmware on your iPod touch. If the recovery mode you did was not forced, then try to force it into recovery mode. This is how:
    1. Force it to shut down (note: this sort of shut down should not be preformed unless you are in a situation like this because it is a hardware shutdown and will not attempt to unload software, save unsaved files, safely stop system processes, etc.) to do this, hold down the power/sleep button and home button for about 7 or 10 secs. Also I might be incorrect but I heard that you can just hold down the sleep and home button until the screen goes blank and then immediately let go.
    2. Have iTunes running. Hold down the home button and plug the USB cable that came with your iPod into it. Keep on holding on the home button until a picture of a USB cable going into the iTunes logo appears. You are now in a forced recovery mode. (In case your not so tech-savvy forced recovery is the same as a normal recovery mode that an iPod might do if it knows an update or restore failed.)
    3. iTunes should have shown a pop-up message about it found a iPod in recovery mode. Click OK, click your iPod from the sidebar and click restore. The iPod will show the apple logo for a while and iTunes will say "preparing iPod for restore" and then "waiting for iPod" this was the longest part of updates for me.
    4. iPod will reboot when restore is completed. When I update my iPod it one time showed the apple logo for one whole sync until it showed the slide to unlock screen, so do not worry. P.S if that does not work do a DFU mode restore ( I've been told DFU mode stands for device firmware update mode) I'm running out of room, so google it. Hope this helped ;)

  • My iPod Touch (2nd Gen) is stuck on the Apple start up screen.

My iPod Touch (2nd Gen) is stuck on the Apple start up screen. I have restored it three times so far, but every time it turns off the problem returns. Since restoring yesterday, the battery life has been dramatically shortened as well. I have no idea what to do, as my iPod is out of warranty and this problem started for no reason what so ever. I also have no local access to Apple support. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried this. Though it brings temporary success, in the fact that the iPod functions until it is turned off again. Then the problem seems to return. I thought it might be a problem with the backup file, but I have since restored it completely (to have nothing but the basics on) and the problem is still there.
Thank you for the responses so far though. Hopefully, they can help others with a similar problem.

I believe mine is also 4.2.1. I made an error when selecting the OS at the bottom of my posts and have no idea how I change it.
*EDIT* - I have now managed to change my iOS, not that it makes much difference. I've heard people have been having trouble with iOS 4 on the 2nd Gen iPod Touch?
