My iPhone 3 keeps making screech while in middle of call

Can my iPhone get a virus. In middle of a call I get a fax like sound and then lose the call but it doesn't hang up? Any ideas

My iphone keep on rebooting while charging

hello everybody
last time i used the iphone it went out of charge
i broght the cable from the car
then i connected the cable with the computer,, the apple logo appears then restart
it cannot reach the springboard and i cannot use the iphone anymore
i tried many cables many computers but no change at all
it keep showing the logo of apple then blank screen like rebooting or cannot be loaded
i searched for soloution i did the jailbreak but no change too
i wish u can help am unable to use the iphone anymore!

Keeps hanging up in the middle of calls...

My brand new iPhone 4 keeps on hanging up in the middle of phone calls. It started approx 2 weeks after I got it. Can anybody tell me if this is a hw or sw problem with the iPhone? and it is not due to poor signal, nor is it due to the proximity-sensor, as it keeps on doing it even when using the headset! (and the phone on the sofa table)
It is not with regular intervals, and not during every call.

its hard for us to say whether its hardware or software it could be either
to be honest these are the solutions that may or may not work..
first thing I would try is rebooting the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 15 seconds until you see the white apple logo
if that doesn't work I would restore from backup and if that doesn't work I would restore as new if all else fails take it to your closest apple store they may replace the phone for a working one..

IPhone 3GS re boots in the middle of calls

I have seen a couple of threads and don't know if Apple have sorted this yet so a quick query to those who may know.
I have a 3GS and ever since IOS4 came out, if I am making calls sometimes it doesn't happen but if the call is likely to be 6 to 10 minutes in length there is a good chance it will just re-boot itself during the call.
I then have to wait about 3 minutes - feels like hours - whilst the iPhone reboots itself.
Haven't tried it yet, but if I go in to Apple - the question is can they fix it? Has anyone else out there experienced this and had it sorted?

I have the same problem with my 3GS.........the phone re-boots after 4 minutes then shows the 'Apple' logo for 1 minute before normal service. I should point out this mainly happens from my home location which suggests a signal issue although I have never experienced the problem with any previous phone and indeed, other visiting IPhone users don't have a problem either. I am with Vodafone who tell me I am imagining the problem and it is something they have never heard of before and I have spoken to people at the Apple Shop who just look at me blankly scratching their heards and say "Really?, never heard of that one before........!"
Sorry can't help your problem but glad to hear others have similar frustrations. Perhaps through this forum somebody from Apple will have the courage to own up and say "Yes, we do have a problem...." and fix it!
Otherwise, it's a great little 'Gizmo' but pity about the useless (and expensive!) phone.

My 4S iphone keeps trying to turn off during phone calls and drops the calls. Sometimes I have to call back 3-4 times to finish a conversation.

While talking on my iphone, the phone tries to turn itself off. Not just once, but continuous, and not just dropping the call, but actually tries to turn itself off.

Well, then I'm glad this is most probably not a hardware issue - at least not an exceptional, maybe defect of all? -. This seems to be a good idea, because 2G will nearly everywhere available, so phone calls are not likely to drop at all. I'm just a bit confused, because they promised intelligent switch even during calls. For me that means that if the better, faster connection is available, then it uses that, and if it wouldn't be, then it switches to the slower one.
Anyways, thanks for your reply. I guess it's a "just get used to it" issue.

I was about 20-25 minutes in to a call on my iPhone 4S and a high pith dial up tone sounding thing happened for about 30-40 seconds...? What could this be?

I finally figured out how to fix this. First I reviewed "Mac OS X: Why your Mac might not sleep of stay in sleep mode." I noted the bullet: "Do you have any other external USB or Firewire devices connected?" I have an CP685AVR for a UPS for my Mac. I replaced the battery a few months ago. I also hooked up Apple's 'Energy Saver' power management software to the CP685AVR using the USB connection. I disconnected it, and that solved the problem. I still have the UPS and battery back-up; I just can't "monitor" the battery. What's to monitor? It always said the battery was 100% charged even right up to the time the previous battery failed. HT4528 iTunes keeps making me restore my iPhone

I broke my old iphone so I got a new one in the mail today. I've restored it and when it is done restoring it keeps making me restore it again. So its an endless loop and its preventing me from uploading my music onto it. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Is it constantly beeping or is it beeping when you place it on the touchstone? If you place it on the touchstone and it beeps this is expected behavior. Also note that you could be bumping the device shifting it off the charger and then back on thus the beeping noise telling you that it has been realigned again properly and is charging properly.
