Thank you very much for your reply gdgmacguy :) I did all you suggested apart from restore as new device . Didn't know I could do that . After restore I did restore from back up only, as I didn't want to end up without contacts details on my phone. If I restore as new device how do I get my all contacts? Still will have to use back up? Sorry if it sounds like I don't know what i am doing, i just have no one to ask who would know. Thank you

My iphone suddenly started to react really slow, what should i do??
So, in the last days, my 8 month old iPhone 4S started to react super slow! about 30 percent of the time. When I am at an appclication (Settings as an example) and want to get to the home screen by pressing the home button of course, and when i press the home button, I have to wait for several seconds... (3-10 seconds) And if i am writing an SMS, and when i press send, it doesnt send it for many seconds... and the iphone kind of stops completely for many seconds when i am doing what the phone is meant to do. This phone is not jailbroken of course. What should I do? Should I send it in to apple? Does the guarantee count when this happends? I do not have insurance. Everything i do reacts slow, even just unlocking the phone!!!

Since updating to the 7.0.3 my screen won't rotate to play games and it takes seconds for my words to show up after typing them. Also facebook lags really bad. What can I do to fix this?
That would depend if you have the potrait orientation lock - on.
If you see a lock icon with an arrow around it on top of the home screen next to your battery then that means you have it enabled.
to disable swipe up from the bottom of the phone (near home button) to access the control center, hit that icon. -
Develop sliders respond really slow
Upgraded to LR 4.2 + Update, and the sliders still works very slow.
I have a machine with 8GB + i7 370K + Nvidia 560 Ti + Dell U2711 (27" monitor).

LR is a non-destructive editor that never writes or changes the original file. LR and PS work entirely differently concerning onscreen image building, and LR benefits very little by increasing graphics card performance.

My system is only slightly higher performance (i7-280, 12GB) and I have no issues. BUT my monitor is 1920 x 1080 (~2Mp) versus 2560 x 1440 (~3.7Mp). Your processor needs to build almost twice (2x) the number of pixels every time you make a change in the Develop module. If my i7 system performance is about 1.5x your i5 system, then screen response time will be almost three times faster ( .3 to .5 Sec. versus 1.0 to 1.5 Sec.).Using dual high resolution displays is even more challenging for LR.
Try making the Develop module side panels as large as possible by dragging the border with your mouse, and perhaps increase the height of the filmstrip. Then use CTRL + SHIFT + F Key to enter and exit full screen mode for a larger image review of your Develop setting changes. On my system this takes about 1.0 sec., so this may not be a time saving option for you (i.e. ~3.0 sec.). Give it a try. -

I am running a trial version of Elements 13 on the latest IMac 27 inch. Any move of the mouse and it is time out. Doesn't matter if the mouse is trying to do an edit or just moving across the window. The program does not respond very well at all. I am wondering now if I should bother purchasing the program.
How much ram do you have? Did you recently import a bunch of photos into the organizer? PSE will be slow till it's through cataloguing them, which can take some time for large number of images.

Presario notebook starts running slower, takes ages to reboot and sound is intermittent
My university daughter has a Compaq Presario V5101US notebook. We have had to restore it several times because "something" seems to change its performance after a while. It starts by losing the sound and then takes forever to reboot with skippy sound almost like something else is running, or trying to. I have run both the AVG a/v and Superantispyware in the safe mode to no avail. It is kept maintained via removing the temp internet files, a/v scans. disk cleanup, clean the cookies, anti spyware, defrag, etc at least once a week. I would like any suggestions as to what is the most "common" issue in a circumstance like this. About the only things left to try are cleaning up the start menu and running another malewarbytes? program before doing another restore?
I don't know whether win2k is officially supported by toshiba on the L30, but I have got everything to work
by using the winxp drivers - which include win2k drivers. I did have a problem with the wireless lan
but that was easily resolved but downloading drivers from atheros, ie mini wireless la la, file called
sa100wlanax.exe
But I do have a problem with the cd/dvd drive reading things at half speed, but I don't think it just a
win2k problem, from what I have read, people how have installed xp also have the same problem.

I have a 3GS. It's been ok, but ever since I updated to iOS 6.1.2 the performance is terrible! EVERYTHING is slow. From the opening passcode screen lock, to surfing the web on Safari, to sending mail. It just takes ages to do anything! The biggest problem is when I go to take a photo. Takes twice as long to do anything than the 4s.
Any advice,??Opening every applications takes forever. Facebook, whatsapp, google, etc. even to open the Settings takes a while for the window to appear.
I do not use iCloud, I do not turn on the locations services, I deleted unnecessary games, I don't even have music on my iphone at all! It really happened when I upgraded to ios 6.1.2.

I added about 1500 songs in the past week, and now iTunes is really slow. Whenever I do anything with iTunes I get the colorful wheel. Can I fix this?
is this with iTunes 11.0.3 (the newest update that just came out a week or two ago)?
If so, don't do anything. I think 11.0.3 is a little buggy - I've noticed the spinning beachball too, sometimes clicking things does nothing, and it crashes a lot. I'm expecting/assuming that Apple will have another update out within a few weeks to fix the bugs.
Quitting and restarting iTunes might help, but I wouldn't do anything more than that. -

Why is transferring music onto iphone really slow?
for a couple of updates now the moving of music onto ipods/iphones has been really slow, sometimes it adds to the device but remains blacked out on iTunes or sometimes it says complete but hasn't added to the device ?!
what happened to the simple drag and drop? iTunes got so fancy it no longer does the job it was meant to!!It depends on where you download them from; I have plenty of jazz in Podcast.
