My iphone 3G can't sync some of the apps even though it is running on its newest update

i have downloaded apps like Garageband and they won't sync, it says it's not compatible with this iphone. Even though some of these apps i can download onto my ipod touch 2nd gen i think.
most people will say download latest software, i have and still nothing its running on 4.2.1.

The 3G can't be updated beyond iOS 4.2.1. It's possible that these apps won't run on this version of iOS. Contact the app developer or read the app requirements in the app store to find out.

If both accounts are authorised on the computer's iTunes that you sync them to, and the relevant apps are on that computer, then you should be able to sync them to both devices. The apps will be tied to the account that originally bought/downloaded them, so only that account will be able to download updates to them.
If you log into the other account on a device and re-download its apps onto them then you risk tying the device to that account for 90 days (and similarly redownloading on a computer's iTunes) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627

Are you checking from within the Apps section of iTunes on your computer? Is there a reason you can't download it directly to the iPhone?

I rented a movie on my computer and transferred it to my iPad mini. I see it was purchased on my computer in my account and the charges for it and can even see where it is on my iPad on the computer but can't find it on the iPad itself. It is not in Videos. I have this problem every time I rent movies and somehow I eventually find it but I don't know how it eventually gets on the iPad. I'm leaving on a trip and want to watch it on the way.

Excel on imac. Have deleted/trashed workbooks from Finder and they have disappeared from the finder listing but the frozen icon remains on the Excel Workbook Gallery Under my Recent Workbooks. Clicking on the empty icon which is still titled shows that they are in trash but I can't get rid of the icon which is a waste of space as well as annoying. Help - Grandma is screaming!

Hi everyone. My daughter rented a movie in iTunes and the download was interrupted. I can now no longer find the purchase even though when I go to rent it again I am told that I have already rented it. This is not the first time this has happened.

I think your best bet at this point, then, would be to contact iTunes Support:

Is your iPhone connected to your computer using the lightning cable or are you doing WiFi sync?
Sometimes the iPhone doesn't show up in the side bar if you're using WiFi syncing, if its not working, then be connected to your WiFi on your phone and on your computer (Same network) let me know how it's going, if it doesn't work still. Turn your phone off and on again and put in your pass code then try to sync it (keep your phone unlocked and not in sleep mode) tel me if it appears in the side bar.

One more thing to try. Double click on the home button. Scroll in that bottom line of icons (swipe finger to left) to the app that are all white. Hold your finger on the app until the - sign appears. Tap it to close the app. Hopefully it will then show up correctly. (As they say about chicken soup curing a cold, "can't hurt")

Look, Idk If Is Blocked Or Something But When I Restored The Phone I Mean Factory, First Says That The phone Need A Sim Card,then An Icloud Account And Then This " This Phone Was Registered With An Apple Account,So I Know The Email and The Password, when i Try To Log In Its Says Password or EMail Incorrect so I Asked My Friend,Because I Didn't Buy it From An Apple Store Or Somethin Like That, So MY Friend Told Me That He Erased The Account or He desactivated I Need Help Seriously :s
