My iphone 3g doesn't want to download apps..?
My iphone 3g does not want to download apps, it keeps on asking me for a software update but when I do update it, itunes says the opperating software on the phone is the current version. My iphone is opperating on 4.2.1 & the massage that I get from the apps is that, they require the latest software version which is 4.3 & upwards...
Please help me in anyway possible...

You can only download a compatible version if the developer chose to leave it available. This is not always the case.
Unfortunately, if the steps in the article provided don't help, there is nothing else you can do to get new apps on your phone. You will have to purchase a new phone at some point.

If the phone is Activation Locked the phone is useless to you. There is no way around Apple's antitheft feature. To check this go to Settings/iCloud and turn off Find my iPhone. If it asks for a passcode for an Apple ID that is not yours it is still Activation Locked, and there is a high probability it is stolen.

I have an apple iphone 4 that I want to download audio books from my library onto. I cannot figure out how to do that. The iphone does not show up on my mac laptop as a connected device. Does this kind of download have to run through itunes? Thanks
Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. I can think of lots of reasons why it might not be connecting, but since you don't give us any information at all other than the fact that you have a 3G, we can't even begin to guess...
iOS version? iTunes version? Windows or Mac? Operating System? Direct to USB? USB Hub? I'll give you a quarter for a clue...

Rhythmbox doesn't want to download podcasts
When I try to add a feed I get the following error:
Error in podcast
There was a problem adding this podcast: Unable to parse the feed contents. Please verify the URL: http://www.zen54064.zen.co.uk/Hospital% … st%201.xml. Would you like to add the podcast feed anyway?
If I download the feed with wget and then load it locally by pointing to it with "file:///..." it displays correctly - it lists the podcasts.
When I try to download the actual podcasts it fails and the little red circle with the minus (no entry sign? ) appears next to the podcasts.
I am behind a router, so I don't know if I have to open any ports or something.
What is the problem and how do I solve it?Oh, it doesn't minimize to the traybar for you, either?
I downgraded to 0.12.1-1 and it still doesn't want to download podcasts. It minimizes to the tray, though.

My new ipod touch 4g doesn't let me download apps, it just says type in Apple ID password and when i do it asks for it again and again and again.... what should i do?
I've got the same problem as well. When i connect all i see is "set up your iphone" screen. It worked perfectly fine a couple of weeks back when I last synced but, doesn't sycn anymore.
Any help would be appreciated. -
I have two iPads and giving 1st gen. to my grandson. Using my Apple idI for both... can we use different passwords to access our "own" apps. Also I don't want the downloaded App to go to both iPads. Been looking for hours for an explanation! Thanks for any help.

Contact iTunes. You need a valid payment method and the messages says you do not have that.

It's not referencing your iTunes version. It's referencing your device's iOS version. An iPhone 3G has a maximum iOS of 4.2.1. If an app requires an iOS higher than that, it will not work on your iPhone 3G.

You cannot delete apps from iCloud. You can only hide them.
In computer iTunes, login under Purchased to do this.
