My iphone 3g no longer will sinc to itunes

i have deleted itunes and quicktime and re installed it, turning off computer , but still advice to get it to sinc does not work
bought new cable from apple and the hubs all work as moved printer to each hub and they all bleep when plugged in
i want to sinc up and keep a special video of my dad off it

Take the hubs out of the equation. Plug it directly into the computer.
Whay kind of computer do you have? What Operating System?
If you're using a Mac, it requires 10.5.8 or higher.

How Come My iPhone 3G No Longer Shows Up in iTunes?

All of a sudden my iPhone doesn't show up in the iTunes sidebar on my 20" iMac, but using the same cable it does on my MacBook. I have tried plugging it in diretly to the iMac as well as to my Belkin hub, but it no longer shows up in iTunes, nor does it charge when plugged it. The iPhone stays dark when first pluged in.
Does anyone know why when plugging in the iPhone 3G or my iPod Classic (old school) it won't load on the side bar of iTunes? It is like it does not exist. I have done all updates. I restarted my computer a couple of times and finally got the iPod Classic to load but still the iPhone 3G shows nothing. It won';t even boot my phone up to charge it but will the iPod.
I use the iPhone on my MackBook with the same cord and it loads to iTunes and starts to sync. Same with the iPod. Both computers are running the same software. Since it works on the MacBook and use to work on then iMac G5 I am thinking it may have something to do with the updates for iTunes. I use the MacBook to charge the iPhone and iPod sometimes but the main computer for syncing is the iMac. Only nothing seems to work. After restarting the iMac several times the iPod seems to work then not work. I am frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi John, i have my doubt that it has something to do with authorization/deauthorization. I have read somewhere before that the iPhone (not sure about iPod) can only be "paired" with one mac and if you want to synch it with another one, you need to deauthorize the initial one first. Inside iTune up on its menu bar under Store, there are 2 options that said authorize and deauthorize. Now i haven't tried this before as i only got myself one mac, so i have no past experience here with this particular case. May be some other experienced users can shed some light on this and share with us, before you try out?

Iphone 5c no longer charges since updating to ios 8.1.2

I have updated my iphone 5C to IOS 8.1.2 and since then I can no longer charge my phone properly. The only way I can charge is connecting the cable to my pc and charging through the pc or laptop. It no longer works if I connect my phone directly to electricity using the exact same cable. I can only assume it is a bug in the update as it was working perfectly before. The only change is that I installed IOS8.1.2 is there some way I can go back to the previous version easily?

Probably apps running in the background are causing this, sometimes Mail get's stuck connecting to the mail server, or some social media app like Facebook can also be a reason for prolonged background activity.
Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

Hello everyone, I'm in need of some major help with my IPhone 4S. I'm very confused and frusterated! My friend had originally purchased two IPhone 4S phones about two years ago. I know this because he decided to give me his second IPhone 4S that was no longer being used by the person who had it before, since I didn't have a phone and he had it on a two year contract. That two year contract ended months ago and he renewed it for another two years. Everything had been working pretty well except crappy reception at my house every now and then, since I live in the middle of nowhere. But where my problem comes in is, for the past few days I haven't been able to send or recieve texts or calls at all. It just keeps saying failed to send when I try to send a text, and it won't receive any texts. When I try to make a call, it goes to a couple different weird recording things trying to ask what type of call I'm making, or saying the connection can't be made. I can't recieve calls at all. I have no idea why this happened, it was really random, and I'm very frusterated. It always shows my phone having two or three bars and service, more than enough to do these things, but for some reason it's ike it's become disconnected. This type of thing happened a few weeks ago, but only for a few hours and then I started getting all my texts and whatnot and it went back to normal. But now it's lasted almost a week. I have Sprint and even when it shows me having 3G service and all bars, it won't send or recieve calls or texts. I tried resetting network settings, and that didn't change or fix anything. I've also tried shutting it off and turning it back on multiple times and the whole airplane mode on and off thing and NOTHING is working. If any of you could help, or offer suggestions, that'd be awesome. Much appreciated!

Thanks for asking, I knew I had forgotten to mention something. The phone was indeed unofficially unlocked, since there were no apple stores or even premium resellers in the region I lived in during the given procedure had to be done.
I understand this could be a further complication, especially the fact the home button does not work. However, I was wondering if there would be a possibility to use a third-party application instead of iTunes to restore the iPhone? IF someone does know of such an application, I could easily solve further problems myself. Basically, the main issue here is my lack of ability to enter DFU mode.

It sounds like your phone is not recognzied in iTunes anymore. I recommend the troubleshooting steps from the article named:

Here is an overview of the troubleshooting to be done:
1. Update iTunes
2. Check the USB cable
3. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
4. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service
5. Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed
6. Check for third-party software conflicts
If the issue persists, try uninstalling iTunes and its associated apps with either of these two articles depending on your operating system version and its associated softwares:

IPhone (4s) no longer will sync with my PC (MS Outlook)

About 2-weeks ago my iPhone stopped syncing with my PC running MS Outlook. It has worked fine for about 1-year.

The computer is not running MS Outlook.
Outlook is a program that runs on Windows.
See if you can clearly communicate the real problem and some specifics about what has been tried.

My Iphone 5 no longer vibrates since I upgraded to IOS 7. All the settings look to be set correctly

I updated to IOS 7 this weekend and now my phone does not vibrate. I checked everything in settings and it all looks to be correct. It is annoying. Now I can't know when I get a message or call phone my wife because I can't feel the phone vibrate at work. Annoying upgrade if this does not get fixed soon.

I got the same problem with my iphone 5 rear camera and tried the solutions suggested here but it did not work.
The camera application which came with ios7 is frozen as soon as it opens. I does not take photos or switch between cameras.
I have been able to use the front camera with Snapseed, QR reader . however no application is able to open my rear camera.
I am not sure but it can related with the application updates either ios7 or the camera applications already installed on our iphone. Uninstalling those apps which has access to camera and rebooting may solve the problem. This is just an idea !

HELP SOMEBODY... ANYBODY (iPhone No Longer Syncs Since Downloading iTunes 11.1.1. Update)

I updated my phone to the new iOS7 and I also updated iTunes to 11.1.1. NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN I cant get my phone to backup. When I connect it to my computer is doesn't do ANYTHING! I try to drag and drop my music, NOTHING.
If ANYBODY could help me with fixing this problem, It would be extrmeely helpful. I have to do a back up everyday for work purposes.

I'd try removing and then re-installing iTunes. An uninstall will not remove your music etc. That should re-install the usb drivers etc. I don't think you can separately delete and install the drivers.

WIndows is asking you to reformat the iPod's hard disk because it's probably in the Mac OS X Extended Journaled file system format which the Windows OS can neither read or write to. Reformatting will erase all content from the device and rebuild the filesystem as FAT32 unless you specify it as NTFS (which you shouldn't do).
If you want to be able to use your iPod to copy music from your Mac to your PC, you'll need to either pre-format it as FAT32 using Disk Utility on your Mac and then copy everything over to your PC, or use third party software such as XPlay that allows a Windows PC to read and write to a Mac formatted iPod.
Perhaps you could take a look at this article for other ways to copy your iTunes library and files from your Mac to the PC.
