If no change after inserting and removing the headphones several times to unlock the mechanism that indicates the headphones are inserted, the iPhone has a hardware problem with that mechanism.

I am having the same issue. And today, I noticed that when I was talking on the phone, the volume went down low. I had to reboot the phone, so that the volume was up again. Mostly, though, it's my music that I am having issues with.

I am not bake to update existing or download new apps in iTunes due to having a zero balance on the credit card on the account even though they're free! I don't know how to fix this, can anyone help?

Thanks for the question. It sounds like your issue stems from the insufficient funds on the credit card. Because the iTunes Store requires active payment information simply adding a separate card, or an iTunes Gift Card may resolve your issue.
The iTunes Store will place a minimal authorization hold on your credit card each time that you update your account information (equal to around 1 USD or your local currency equivalent). The authorization hold isn't a charge. The authorization hold is placed on your credit card to make sure that the information provided matches the information on file with your financial institution. The authorization hold won't appear in your iTunes Store purchase history.

Some calendars in iCal appear corrupted (ie have red exclamation mark by them) but are still OK on iPhone. If I sync, will the calendar data on the phone restore info on the desktop iCal or will I lose that as well? Or could I back up the calendars on my iPhone somewhere and then import them into iCal? any other ideas for how to sort this please? it's driving me mad. thanks.
I don't think there will be a solution to this. Exchange 2003 just isn't supported.

My daughters iphone4 is frozen to a blank screen with the apple on it. We have turned it on and off and it still remains on this screen. We cannot access gef phone at all. Any idea why this is happening or how to correct?

It's not a bug in iOS 6, and it won't be fixed. It's usually caused by your phone having been paired to 2 different networks with the same SSID. So it needs to ask which one you meant. Occasionally be corrupt data in the network settings, which is why Allan suggested Forget This Network.

Hi Guys,
My iPhone is stuck in a mode where it thinks the headset is still plugged in.
I cant get any sounds through the speaker. Cant hear sms or emails arrive. If the phone rings i hear it but pple cant hear me or i cant hear them.
The phone works fine with the headphones plugged in.
I have tried all the usual solutions, inserted and removed the headset (at least 50 times)

I have searched on this and it seems to be a well know issue but there doesnt seem to be any firm solutions that i can find to fix the problemIf no change after inserting and removing the headset at least 50 times, powering the iPhone off and on, an iPhone reset, and restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby. -

If the silent switch is off, no change after inserting and removing the earbuds or headset cable a number of times, and the same after restoring your iPhone as a new iPhone or not from the backup, your iPhone has a hardware problem.

I downloaded a ringdown direct from itunes to my iphone 4S. When I go to settings/sounds/ringtone, the new ringtone is not there! I have downloaded it twice, but still not there. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
Thanks, your advice prompted me to look at it again on itunes, and discovered that i have actually downloaded the full song instead of the ringtone. False alarm...and thank you!
