My iPhone 3G turned off when i dropped it, and since then i try turning it on and it won't pass the apple logo, what do i do?
I dropped My iPhone 3G it turned off and since then i've tried turning it on & it won't boot through the apple logo, i already tried pressing the home button and the log off one but its the same. what do i do?!
Before you bring it in to the store, you could rule out software by placing the phone in DFU mode and restoring the OS. In the absence of hardware issues, the DFU restore will solve the issue of the phone being stuck on the Apple logo. It will also remove al data from the phone so hopefully you have a recent backup.
To put your iPhone/iPod into DFU mode:
1. Make sure the iPhone/iPod is connected to the computer
2. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 8 seconds
3. Let go of the sleep/wake button and keep holding down the home button
4. If you are successful, a dialog box will pop up in iTunes stating that iTunes has detected an iPod/iPhone in recovery mode. Note that a successful DFU will result in a blank black screen on your iPhone/iPod.
5. Click OK, then click the restore button in iTunes.
Hopefully after that you will be able to resync your data and be good to go.

But that requires the computer to see the ipod. I am having the same problem and I keep being told to restore it, but you have to either get the ipod to turn on or have the computer see it in order to so that. Right now I have a pretty useless 32GB ipod touch cos I cant get the thing to turn on! I can only get the apple logo for like maybe 20 seconds and it goes away. Ive charged it for days on a wall charger, on the computer usb charger, and on a speaker charger. Nothing works.

Just upgraded my iPad to IOS5 and when the download was completed, a window said that there was an error and it could not restore. Now I have a black screen with the Apple logo and the circle lines. None of the buttons respond. Help, please!!
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Maybe this will let the iPad reboot and then you may need to restore again but see if this helps to start the iPad first.

OS2.0 PB turns off when battery drops below 10%
My PB will turn off when the battery drops below 10%. Is this a bug or just normal?

turns off, and iTunes doesn't recognizes it, is there any solution or do I need to take it to repair?Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart, usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. If still problem, Restore iPhone, connect iPhone to computer with iTunes 10.7 or 11 open, hold both Home and Power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Click Restore button of iTunes. If still problem perform DFU Mode Restore of iPhone.

found olf iphone 4 or 4s in the back of my parents closet. They told me I could now have it back and its been a year since the last time I saw it. It wont turn on unless it is plugged up to a wall plug in. But as soon as I turn it on it says activation required then it says plug into itunes. After I try doing that it plugs into my computer but flashes the apple logo on and off. It wont even turn on all the way when plugged into computer...only the wall. ANY IDEAS?): and no I didnt steal/find this phone. It is mine. I dont have the guts to steal but a lot of people online have accused me.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -
HT6154 How do your fix a Iphone 5 32g will not pass the apple logo in boot up?
I plug in my iphone 5 to the charger cube and all my phone does is turn on with the apple logo. Then the apple logo turns blue and shuts off. I then repeats this cycle as a loop. I have tried the recovery mode step and when itunes response to the phone, the reboot loop happens again. I am out of solutions. Please help. I am out of warrantee with and had this phone for a 1year and 5 months.

I have an iphone 4 and upgraded to ISO6. aLL WAS WELL UNTIL mONDAY WHEN i WAS UPDATING 2 aPPS AND MY PHONE FROZE. i TRIED SOFT RESET AND THEN MY PHONE HAS NOW FROZEN ON THE aPPLE icon and I cannot go further. I cannot sync to pc as my phone is not recognised. Hlep!

Airport Card turned off when resuming from sleep - New since 10.6.6
I use safe sleep regularly, as I use my laptop at both work and home. Ever since the update to 10.6.6 though, I have had to manually turn my Airport connection back on after resuming from sleep.
Previously, although it was unreliable about connecting to a preferred network (an unrelated, but equally frustrating issue*) at least it would remain on. Now I've had to add the icon to my Menu bar just so I don't have to dig into System Preferences every single time I reawaken my laptop.
Does anyone know why this is happening, and if there is anything I can do to prevent it? I apologize if this has been asked before, but when I searched I was unable to find anything.
*This issue is unrelated and not the focus of my post, but if you happen to know about it I would absolutely appreciate your input.
When resuming from sleep, despite being between 5-20 feet from my preferred router I will often receive a dialog asking me to select from a list of SSIDs and enter a password even though that information is already saved. Then, once I complete this information Airport doesn't actually connect and the only way to resolve the issue is to turn Airport off and then back on. After this, it will automatically connect with no problems and remain connected until I put the computer into Sleep mode again.Maybe check in your keychain and verify the password saved is correct for your wireless router?
Do you broadcast the network name?
Could you describe "unreliable about connecting to a preferred network"?
Is "use secure virtual memory" checked in the Security preference pane? If so try unchecking that maybe? If it's a hibernation issue sometimes that could cause weirdness. -
i was trying to delete some songs from my ipod. so i plugged it into itunes and it froze. i help the home and menu button to reset it and now its stuck on the apple logo. i plugged it back into itunes, it updated the software i dont know if it restored the ipod. but now its stuck on the logo and it keeps going to the white screen and then back to the logo. what do i do?
Try restoring. Make sure you have a backup first.

My iphone 5 died so I plugged it back in to charge and it will not turn on. It will turn to the screen with the apple logo and black screen then turn off again. Any suggestions?
I leave it charging until it gets back to full, usually it turns on after a little bit of time after plugging it in, but all its doing is going to the apple logo screen and going blank again.
