My iphone 3gs has been stolen, is there a way to have it jammed next time they plug it in to a computer, with the serial number. or can l track it some way...
is there a way, that l can jam or locate a stolen 3gs iphone with the serial number. or is there another way, so it jams when connects to the internet.
If you didn't set up Find My iPhone prior to losing it, then there is absolutely nothing that you can do with it now.
You could have a friend call or text it and try to reason with whoever has it.

If you did not set up Find My iPod on the unit before it was stolen, then there's no way to trace it. Whether filing a police report would accomplish anything I can't say, but it's all you can do. They might get lucky.
If you purchased the iPod with a credit card, check with your card issuer and ask if they offer any sort of loss/theft coverage. Some card programs do, and would replace the iPod for you.

Unless you set up MobileMe / Find My iPad on it before it was lost/stolen, then no, there isn't any way to locate it. If you did set up MobileMe on it then you could try locating it either via me.com on a computer or Find My iPhone / Find My iPad on a another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or MobileMe disabled on it.
If you think that it was stolen then you should report it to the police. As a safety precaution you should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc. -

Can i report to any Apple Support for this issue?Apple is not law enforcement and is not in the business of helping user's track lost/stolen devices. They are only a manufacturer, like HP, Motorolla, Sony, LG, Nokia, and Samsung.
If the device is turned off... there is not much that can be done.
Contacting local law enforcement and reporting it stolen and reporting it to the carrier is the extent of what a user can do. -

okay, so lately my iPhone 3GS has been telling me i have no service what so ever for the past two days. But today when i was on the bus going home from school, i had perfect service and everything until i got close to my house (to clarify, i live somewhat far out from the center of town, and my school is right in the middle of town.. didnt know if that would affect anything). So then i asked my Dad about it and he reccomended restoring and updating my phone to see if it helped because im a couple updates behind. So i plugged it in, backed it up, and began to restore and update it. All was well until it got to the "verifying the restore with apple" stage. I was watching the rose bowl and not paying attention while it was on, but remembered that it started that stage at the beginning of the game. Now the game just ended 5 or 10 minutes ago and lasted a goood hour, hour an a half, and its still verifying!! i dont know what to do... HELP!
Did you check the security software settings? iTunes has to be able to contact Apple during the update process: iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues

If you can see it on the map of this app, you will know where is your iPhone in that moment.
REMEMBER: you can see your iPhone on the map of " Find my iPhone" only if it is online. Indeed you can't see your iPhone if it's offlined or switched of. -

Log on to your computer, and go to www.findmyiphone.com and login to your apple ID and it will give you the location of your iphone. If you need extra help, i strongly suggest you contact apple via phone call.

if u have the imei number (it should be on u r purchase reciept) or if u r using paymonthly phone ask u r network provider if they had any records of u r imei number. tell u r network to block the phone. file a police complaint.
u can get the data back if u already sync u r iphone with u r itunes in u r laptop.
if u have installed icloud in u r divice u can locate u r phone by your self otherwise...its police duty!
Best option go for insurance claim if u have one.
