My iphone 3gs has stopped working when i updated the software on itunes.

The screen is blank and wont turn on. i have tried turning it on/off and re connecting it to itunes but nothing is working ?!

Try a simple re-set. Hold power and home together for 20-30 seconds until you see the Apple logo.

    Did you already check your securit software settings? iTunes has to contact Apple during the update process.

    same problem with third party apps like bar-code-scanning, receipt scanning etc... so it is not only the camera app. it is about the camera itself. not hardware again, because it stopped working without falling or drowning...

  • Itunes has stopped working when starting up trying to access itunes store

    Have a windows 7 and since installing the newest version of iTunes (12 I think), it has not worked. It always freezes on startup while trying to access the iTunes store. I have tried everything apple suggests including opening in a different user, opening in safe mode and scanning for viruses. Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling a new version. Nothing has worked.

    I am running Windows 8.1 and iTunes 11.1.3.8.  I found a simple solution by browsing through the support communities.  Here it is:   Copy QTMovieWin.dll from:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
    This worked for me.  Good luck.

    Error 1 indicates a serious hardware failure.  Take the device to Apple for evaluation.

    What version of iPHoto did you previpusly have? Have you run the ujpdater (in the applications folder ==> utilities double click on it and execute it - then launch iPhoto to finish the upgrade
    And as always you should have a current backup of yoru iPhoto lbrary before upgrading

    Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes up again?
    If this does not work, try to save as much data as you can and set it up "as new device": How to back up your data and set up as a new device

    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer                            
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Really strange problem you have there. I have a few questions though.
    Please try again and try to make the phone as a new without restoringen with you iCloud-data or backup-data from iTunes. Maybe it is something wrong with the data (strange).
    Anyway, i think you should call Apple Support or visit an Apple Store, don't forgot to make a Genius Bar reservation.

    It sounds like you are getting an error from iTunes when you launch it. I would try the troubleshooting in this article named:
    iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues

    Start with troubleshooting for 3rd party plug ins section, then the rest of the article if needed:
    Start iTunes in Safe Mode
    Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interference from plug-ins or scripts not manufactured by Apple.
    Hold down Shift–Control while opening iTunes. You should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
    Click Continue.
    See if the issue you're experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
    If you have the same issue while iTunes is in Safe Mode, proceed to the "Create a new user account" section. If you don't experience the same issue, follow these steps to remove third-party plug-ins.

    When I open itunes store and sometimes itunes when connected to the internet it comes up with " i tunes has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.     I open itunes and it works fine. Today I deleted all songs and created a new id. And today is the first day i can go on itunes without the message coming up.. But its when i connect to itunes store that it comes up.,
    First it has itunes has stopped working ....windows is checking for a solution to the problem.
    Then after it loads it has itunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.. and then it has a button close program

    I had this exact same problem.  I found this fix and it worked for me. 
    Step 1:
    Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll. 
    Step 2:
    Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
    Hope this helps you.  I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.

    "view account" produces the same error.
    Login into account works fine. (menu bar at top left; iTunes store > sign in)
    I'm using iTunes 11.1.2
    C:\Users\username\App Data\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins\ is empty
    Quicktime starts fine.
    Unintstalled and reinstalled iTunes.
    Same problem occurs in safemode (ctr shift start up).
    I tried deleting the SC Info.sid* files, but problem still occurs.
    Updating genius works fine.
    Still occurs when running as administrator
    Ran repair from the control panel on both iTunes and quicktime.
    Any suggestions on what I can do about this?
