My iPhone 3GS have this annoying sound

My iPhone 3GS have this annoying high pinch sound when recording video, and in the video that I recorded there is a high pinch whine in the video, is this normal?

I have tested the 3GS in 3 different Apple stores, and all exhibit the high pitch noise during and about 6 seconds after the video/memo has stopped playing. What I found very odd that all the iPhone 3GS on display except for one, where set on silent and everything else iPod touches wasn't and 2nd gen iPhones as well. (touching my chin hmmmmmm)

In my situation, the screen simply started exhibiting the same symptoms a few weeks ago (early February) for no apparent reason. At first I thought the screen was dead, but discovered the heat solution by accident. Now I turn it on and keep it from going to sleep until I go to bed. Thank goodness the battery is still awesome on this thing.
I bought it new and still has the original screen, I keep it at home (never below 62 degrees). Coincidentally, this happened a day or two after the expiration of the warranty!! Any help figuring this one out would be eternally appreciated.

There are several steps you can take when troubleshooting Wi-Fi connectivity on an iPhone and it sounds like you have already done a few of them already. In your situation I would recommend reading over and working through the steps listed in the attached article.

'Charger unplugged. Tap ok to stop this annoying sound'....

Last night I plugged my Q10 in and suddenly it starts wailing like a siren.... I look at the phone and see the message 'Charger unplugged/. Tap ok to stop this annoying sound'... Thing is, the charger was NOT unplugged and I have NO IDEA what is making this noise...
SAME thing happened again just now when I plugged it into my work computer...
Is this a virus?? is that even possible? I haven't downloaded any new apps or anything..

That alert is alarming. I had it go off for a severe weather alert and the office started to clear out as it was same sound for the building alert to exit. Didn't know about it and took me a few seconds to tap it out and corral the office mates who were abandoning ship. I thought that alert for the charger was an app designed to alert you if someone tries to pinch your phone while it is on charger and then taken off without your knowledge. Sounds like your phone is malfunctioning for this alert. Dunno the fix other than tapping, maybe someone else will chime in.

Will a replaced (reconditioned) iPhone 3GS have the new firmware 3.1.3 yet?
Thinking of taking mine to an apple store in the UK and it will more than likely just be replaced.
Any had one replaced in the last few days or had experience of how quickly they update thier stock handsets?

I would expect they will not. I got a replacement 3G back in mid October which still had 3.1 or 3.1.1 on it. First time I sync'd it with iTunes in updated to 3.1.2. Phones with 3.1.3 will probably cycle into inventory over time, but I am pretty sure they don't update existing stock.

My iphone 3gs have a problom because i tryed to downloud apps from my computer without apple id so i tryed update it to ios5 when i made an apple id and the phone restarted dureing the update and i restored it but now i can not activate it why is that ???

My phone is an iPhone 3gs too, and last night actually it said the same thing, "No Sim Card" and my friend and I started panicking but I did what I call a "Forced Reboot" where you hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the apple logo. DO NOT RELEASE UNTIL THEN otherwise you are just shutting it down. So, I did that and it worked again....

I don't suppose you'd care to describe exactly what "sound" you are referring to? The startup "Chimes" that is normal, or some other hardware problem sound?

That's almost always because the phone was hacked to illegally unlock it.

Try restarting your device, hold the power button until "Slide to Power Off" shows up, click that and try turning the phone back on.
If that does not resolve it, try backing up your iPhone to your computer and restoring from your back-up.
If that does not resolve it, try restoring your iPhone as a NEW device.
And if none of these work, try taking it into a local Apple store and seeing if the Genius Bar will see you, it could be a hardware issue, and if it is in warranty the replacement should be covered.

IPhone 3GS - Have been trying to download OS 4 for a week !!!

I'm using iTunes 9.2 which appears to be working fine ... already reinstalled it twice in case this was the issue ... I plug my iPhone 3GS in and request update to OS 4 ... update runs downloading 378 MB over a 29 minute period ... iPhone still attached ... timer finishes with 377.9 MB showing as being downloaded ... hangs for 30 seconds then informs me that connection has timed out and for me to start again ... I have been trying at least 6 times a day since last Sunday with no luck ... can somebody please advise what's going off ... already tried another PC and contacted my IP provider ?????

You may want to wait until Apple fixes some bugs. My 3GS no longer syncs with MobileMe since installing iOS4. I spent a total of 7 hours over the past two days following all of the suggestions posted on the troubleshooting sites...to no avail. I even did a restore in iTunes and spent over two hours with a chat agent who also had no fix. He is "escalating" my issue to higher powers. I love the other features...folders, the ability to change backgrounds...but I have to be able to sync my calendars.

my last i phone was the 3G. It was dropped and the glass shattered. This time with the purchase of the 3GS, (I bought white) along with the incase protection case in black. Beautiful contrast. You have to be nuts not to buy a protective case. Dont believe those Youtube videos claiming the Iphone is indestructible. Its not.

you can update the operating system on your iPhone 3GS to iOS 6.1.6.
Since Acrobat DC for iOS requires iOS 8 or newer, you are not able to install Acrobat DC for iOS.
However, the Apple App Store detects your iOS version and provides the latest compatible version, which is Adobe Reader for iOS (the older version).
Would you try downloading it from the App Store?

Iphone 3gs makes a static sound then freezes

my iphone makes a static/fuzzy sound sometime then freezes and i have to hold home butten and on/off button then it takes ages to turn has anyone else had same problem or now how to fix cheers

The phone has not been jailbroken. All original. Looks like I'm on iOS 6.1.3. It apears several other people are having this mysterious clicking as well with newer models of the iPhone and across most carriers. No one seems to have a rock solid idea of what's causing the fast clicking noise or more importantly how to resolve it.
