My iPhone 3GS (iOS5) shows default email as AOL (and sends as AOL) but recipient gets it as my live.co.uk account. Any ideas how to stop this??

I'm having a recurring issue on my iPhone 3GS. Latest iOS is loaded (last night) but for several months now I've noticed that email sent to me on my aol account and read on my iPhone, if i respond it is received from my live.co.uk account. The email reply clearly shows aol as the sending account and under settings AOL is shown as the default. I have even tried deleting my live.co.uk account from the iPhone, but the problem still happens.
It's annoying as further replies then go to my live account and it is just getting messy.
Any ideas on how to stop this from occurring?

The default email account selection has nothing to do with the email account used when reply to and forwarding a message received by an account.
Have you tried deleting and recreating the AOL account?
