With iTunes, no.
If you had "Find My iPhone" enabled in Settings > iCloud then you may be able to locate it. If not, you cannot locate it.
If it was enabled then you can try locating it via http://icloud.com on a computer or the App "Find My iPhone" on another iDevice. Note: this will only work if your device is connected to a network and the device hasn't already been restored as new and/or "Find My iPhone" has not been disabled on it. Note: Disabling "Find My iPhone" is much more difficult in iOS 7.
If you think that your device was stolen rather than lost then you should report it to the police. In either case you should contact your carrier, change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

Did you already check your securit software settings? iTunes has to contact Apple during the update process.

I just got a new computer with windows 7 (if that matters) And i want to sinc my iphone 3gs apps to my new computer but the only option itunes is giving me is to erase all apps and. How do I sinc the apps without erasing them off my phone?

Why you can't redownload? Don't you have the Apple ID that used to download these apps?
You can "transfer purchaces" by right click on your iphone in iTunes but i guess you computer is not authorized and will ask you to authorize with Apple ID. Try it.

My ipod touch was stolen out of my locker. I have all things to prove its my ipod touch. (original box & serial number) I was hoping that it could be tracked by the GPS or some other method. I hope so because I do not have money to buy another one. Plus it was a gift from someone special so i would like to get this back. If you have any other methods please let me know. You could find it, if you did install "Find my phone" before it was stolen. But you would have to own a ipod touch 4G, an iphone4 or an ipad to install it. See this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4436

Particularly:
Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.

I listed the commands.. that is how you manually mount the disk.. follow exactly the commands I gave you.
In finder use top menu, go, connect to server.
Type in the following.
AFP://TCname or AFP://TCIpaddress (obviously you replace with the actual name or the actual IP address).
If that fails..
try
SMB://TCname

You are correct, Blue tooth low engergy, BTLE.(only) devices are not backward compatible with Classic bluetooth and cannot connect.
However the Apple 4S and above have Bluetooth 4.0 support.. Hardware wise it has bothClassic Bluetooth, like the 3GS, as well as Bluetooth Low Energy. There is no good reason why your 4s cannot communicate to your Sony in-dash player using the Classic bluetooth that resides in the 4S.
I know that this does not answer the why it does not work, but it should work. Do you have to somehow re-pair the new phone up to the player? Not knowing the model of the Sony it is hard to investigate.
And I hate to ask but are you sure that the Bluetooth radio is on in the phone?

You can possibly find it if you have Find My iPhone enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone along with Location Services being enabled.
