Hold down the power button and home button at the same time until the phone powers on, shuts back off, powers on again and continue to hold it until it shows the itunes logo to plug in to itunes. This should allow you to restore without unlocking it.

IPhone 3Gs is disabled and asks for Passcode

Hi there,
my iPhone 3GS is disabled after keying in a wrong Code for several times. It was disabled firstly for 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15, one hour and so on.
I have solved the problem with the SIM card by keying in the PUK and everything should be fine but the iPhone is still asking for the Passcode.
Could anybody help me here what kind of pascode it is asking for?
I honestly have no clue.

Iphone 3GS says Gmail password is wrong but its not?

Hello all, I have an iPhone 3GS and have been using it with GMail for nearly a year now with no issues at all.
Today out of the blue the phone says the password or username is incorrect and won't download new emails but both the username and password are correct, its just the phone will not have it!
I even went as far as resetting the Gmail password on my laptop but still it says on the phone that its not right!
I've tried resetting the phone by deleting the email account, then pressing the power and the home button to reset it but still it doesn't like it? I've checked my Gmail account and pop forwarding is on as well ??
Any help how to get my Gmail account back up and running ?

I take it you are creating @Mac,com names to work in iChat ?
The Apple Registration page for this allows passwords to be over 16 characters.
Unfortunately the page does not tell you that the AIM servers can only use Up to 16 characters (it can be 16 characters or shorter)
Use the iForgot page to change the password.

HT1430 Iphone 4s says disabled connect to itunes and itunes won't connect because phone locked with a passcode. I don't have the passcode to unlock the phone

the iphone 4s is disabled - it says "connect to itunes". When I connect to itunes, I get the message "itunes could not connect to the iphone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iphone before it can be used with itunes"....the phone is disabled because the wrong passcode was typed in too many times and when I try to go to itunes, it won't connect the phone because the phone is locked, so how do I unlock the phone since it's disabled???

You can restore the iPhone from backup on the last computer your iPhone synced with, this will allow you to reset the passcode http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414. If you do not have access to the last computer the phone synced with, you will have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore as a new device, all data on the phone will be erased http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808.

Iphone 3gs says no service

Even after powercycling repeatedly, resetting network settings, resetting all settings and replacing SIM card, my iphone 3GS still says No Service.

Here's what you do
1.Make sure your phone is not plugged into the computer.
2. Put the iPhone into recovery mode (this is NOT DFU mode). Do this by
     a). Hold down both the power/sleep button and the home button until the screen turns black/off
     b). As soon as this happens release the power button but NOT the home button
     c). If done correctly then the Apple logo will appear, KEEP HOLDING THE HOME BUTTON and eventually a connect to itunes graphic will appear. You can release the home button
3. With the connect to itunes graphic on the screen, plug your phone into the computer. iTunes will start up if it is not already on, and then will say the phone needs restoring. Ignore this and COMPLETELY quit iTunes.
4. With iTunes off and the graphic still on the phone screen, hold down both the power/sleep and the home button again for 9 seconds (count 100, 200, 300...) or until the screen goes black
5. When the screen goes black release the home button straight away.
6. It will start up with the iPhone activation screen ignore this. iTunes should have started up, if not do so. Go to the iPhone tab and either resotre from backup or set up as a new phone.

IPhone 3gs says no service and cannot activate it.

I am trying to activate my iPhone 3gs and it says 'No Service' and when connected to iTunes it says that there is no sim card installed. I think it is on i.o.s 5 but not entirely sure as i bought it off of eBay and fixed it.
When i try to activate it on wi-fi it says the activation server is currently down.

My iphone 3gs says sim not provisioned

hi all, my apple iphone 3gs has been working fine for months and i have now just bought a new iphone and given my 3gs to my mum, she has put in her sim card after signing in with her apple id and for some reason it is now saying sim not provisioned any ideas??

More info please. Did this occur while you were trying to set up the iPhone new, or while you already had it registered and working? If it was already set up and working when this happened, then go to the settings and reset the network settings. If this doesn't work then press and hold the power button and home button for about 10 seconds until the phone shuts off by itself and then reboots.

My iphone 3GS says "activation required" "connect to itunes"

When i connect to itunes it says it needs restored. When I try and restore it, it says there is an error. The iphone just recieved a new battery if this helps.

I changed my apple id on my computer but my iphone still says disabled

I changed my apple ID and password over and over again (using the same one) updated all my information (the same) and I can log in and out fine. But my Iphone does not work at all and that is where I need it! Everytime I try to update or download a new app it says my Apple ID is disabled. I have tried to reset the settings but nothing.....what am I doing wrong!!! HELP!!!!!!

I want to update my i-phone to latest Operating system but it says I will delete all information on the phone due to it still hooked to a older Itunes I had on another computer. I just got a new computer and had some issues with my hard drive got most everything of it but itunes what should i do to get the new IOS and not delete everything off the iphone. The message as it states "There are purchased items on this iphone that have not been transfered to your itunes library you should transfer items to your itunes library before updating this phone". It also says in there that this iphone is connected to another itunes library and can only be conected to one. the other computer was old and had some issues I choose to stop connecting my phone to it. what should I do with out deleting the purchased apps on the phone.
