I have an iPhone 3gs and today it started just vibrating instead of ringing and vibrating. It also has no sound what so ever. None of the apps or games have sound and I was wondering if anyone has any clue as to what could have caused this and how I can fix it.

Definitlely have it looked at. That could be a hardware deffect on the maker(apple) so there could be a definite replacement option.

I have a nearly identical problem with my Ipad 3. Mine is the left channel. I've yet to find help, but have found a number of other posts on this and other forums discussing the issue. People have tried restore, reset etc. Also, cleaning the ports with compressed air or cotton swabs. It appears to be a software issue, but no one is sure.
Along with the original poster, I'd appreciate any help.

My sound has recently gone on my iphone4s, this only happens when I use my phone myself. The sound works when i receive a call or a message etc but I am unable to watch videos or play music, the sound also doesn't work on games. Please can anyone help with this issue or let me know how to fix it if experienced the same problem?
Remove all apps from multitasking bar. Double click Home button then tap and hold an icon and tap on little x on every app. Then reset. Hold down Home and Power button until Apple logo appears.

My Iphone won't charge and will only display an apple symbol that flashes on and off. The apple seems to have a split through it which I havent seen before. Theres no battery icon. I've plugged it into my coomputer and that hasnt worked. Tried to hold the on/off and power button together. Nothing seems to be working. Has anyone got any ideas. thanks

Some songs that I've bought on iTunes won't play on my iPhone 3GS even though they used to and they will still play on iTunes. Anyone know what I can do to get these songs to play on my iPhone again? Please help!
No, I haven't figured it out. And no one from Apple has contacted me to help. Very frustrating. Sure makes me want to not buy music on iTunes and just buy CD's.

Recently my iPhone 3GS has stopped ringing all of a sudden. I've checked the settings and nothing has been changed. I've also made sure the switch on the side is not on silent/vibrate too.
The other day it rang once then went to vibrate.
Anyone have any idea?

There are two places where vibrations can be set.
One is the Settings > Sounds
The other area is Settings > Notifications
If you have an app set to Alert, it may have a vibration set for it.

my iphone 3gs shows white screen i restored it in itunes then to same problem once i connect my phone to charge i can hear the sound and if i put for silent mode i can fell the vibration so what the problem in my phone
Here is what you should do turn the device on hold the home button and the power button until the device turn off keep holding and when the device reboots release the power button but hol the home button until it shows the iTunes logo then restore it

I am using duel thunderbolt displays with a MacBook Pro. I only have the option to have sound come from one or the other. Has anyone thought of making the left channel come from both speakers on the left Monitor and the same of the right? If yes, how is that done? The MacBook Pro could even be a center channel if configured in that order.

check and make sure that an alert style has been choosen for certain alerts, and make sure you check your sounds in settings

My iPhone 3gs has frozen while doing update 5.0.1 I think it was. All it shows is the iTunes logo and the usb cable on the screen. I will not turn on or off. I have tried reconnecting to iTunes but nothing happens. Have held both buttons for 10 seconds etc and nothing is working! What can I do?

If you purchased the AC+ coverage package then yes, they will, the first of two times you're covered for accidental damage and it will cost you $45.
If you did not purchase it then yes, they will, but they won't repair it but will, instead, replace it for somewhere around $400. I seem to remember that that price was independent of model, but you'd have to check.
Absent the accidental damage they probably would have replaced your iPad for free as a matter of course due to the dead pixel, but I'd expect that option to be off the table.
You can always live with it, as long as the dent doesn't seem to have dislodged the screen. They will sometimes come loose as a result; check for increased light leakage in a darkened room, perhaps just looking at the backlighting, to see if that has happened.
