My iphone 4 does NOT seem to automatically lock now when I answer a call

My iphone no longer locks when I am on a call, which results in my ear disconnecting my call. If i try to manually lock the phone while on a call using the lock button it just hangs up the call.

Can you make and receive calls and texts? If you can, I wouldn't worry about it. If you can't, you may need to call Verizon. However, try this first. The 4S has a Vodafone SIM card in it for foreign travel. Try taking the SIM out and doing the *228 again. Once it activates properly, you should be able to put the SIM back for safe keeping. It's not used in the U.S.

It seems what you did also effected your typing skills: missing letters, words not capitalized, no punctuation.
Did you check your Sounds settings?

IPhone 4 does not show songs in iCloud even when setting are iTunes Match ON and Show All Music ON.

Why no iCloud songs sgow in iPhone? Settings are set to ON. iCloud symbol appears on the screen but then nothing happens.

IPhone 4 Does not charge or get recognized by laptop and the home button does not work at all.

The home button on my iPhone 4 does not work at all. Also, when i plug it in to charge, it does not charge at all, and it doesn't even say that it is connected. What will Apple do about this if i send it off? Will I get a replacement? All answers much appreciated.

Si, pude solucionarlo hace unos dias, al final me arriesgue y compre el "dock connector", un juego de destornilladores para iPhone 4, lo desarme y lo cambie, y al toque empezo a cargar.
No queria esperar semanas para el repuesto de iFixit asi que lo compre en MercadoLibre, estan 160 mangos, y si no te queres arriesgar a desarmarlo y cambiarlo vos, hay algunos que te hacen la instalacion tambien.
Pero primero averigua bien que tengas el mismo problema que yo, o sea el dock connector sirve para lo q describi arriba. Si tenes otro sintoma te recomiendo que investigues porque capaz es otra cosa y terminas gastando un repuesto al pedo.

When I connect my iPhone 4S to my computer, iTunes does not detect it. iPhone pops the message of USB connectivity and defaults to Mass Storage. Windows shows the message that "Device is ready to use" and I can read both drives of the iPhone in Windows Explorer. However iTunes does not detect the device and the "Devices" tab does not appear. I have tried Restarting the phone. Restarting the computer. Connecting the phone to a different computer. (I'm on version 4.3.3 (8J2), firmware 01.59.00 and iTunes 10.5.3.3).

First make sure you usb drivers are up to date

Try a hard reset on your iPhone, press the power/sleep & home button at the same time until the apple logo appears (ignore the slide to turn off prompt). Once the apple logo appears release the buttons and wait for your iPhone to boot back up then try connecting. Also try a different USB cable if you have one available.

My automatic hotspot does not seem to 'broadcast'

II'm using an iPhone 5s with firmware 8.1
tried full reset etc but the phone does not seem to broadcast my 'automatic hotspot' as a network to be connected to by appropriate devices.
if I flick the switch and manually turn on the wifi hotspot then it works perfectly well.
my wife has an identical iPhone and rather annoyingly hers works perfectly and our settings are identical, even connecting to the same iCloud account.
i Have tried renaming my phone and rebooting, a full on re set back to factory standard and then a restore using a backup and even erasing my network settings using the reset function. Nothing seems to fix this - am I on my own or are there other folk out there with the same problems?

PPretty blem solved: I logged the other iPhone out of the iCloud account and the. Logged it back in, my iPhone took over the automatic hotspotduties!

You will need Mac OS 10.5.8 or later in order to get itunes 10.5 or later, in order to connect your iphone.

Problem transferring old iPhone 3GS to new phone 5S using computer. The iMac which I've been using to back up 3GS for years does not seem to recognize the 5S. No setup assist is coming on screen so I can't begin the transfer. Any ideas for this?
