My iphone 4 does not show up as a device on itunes

I have the latest itunes and have followed all apple's troubleshooting steps, maybe its another problem, please help.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. My new iPhone was showing up in iTunes but in the last few days it is no longer show up in devices. It does show up in Computer (running Vista) as a device attached via USB. I've used the troubleshooting information provided by Apple but it is still not being recognized. The auto play feature starts when connected almost as if it is being recognized as a camera but it never shows up in iTunes. I've run the iTunes diagnostic and it says no device is connected. This is very frustrating so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

When you say you have used troubleshooting provided by Apple, have you tried to remove and reinstall iTunes? Do so by following this support document to the letter http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923. Then connect the phone, it should be recognized by Windows, install the necessary drivers and work. The phone will only activate auto play when there are pictures in the camera roll, that is why it appears like a digital camera.

My Iphone 5 is not showing up in my devices on Itunes and there is no option to sync.

My Iphone 5 does not show up in devices when I plug into my computer. No devices show up. I was getting a small box that showed the Iphone and wanted me to open it to view the files, which basically shows how much space is left. I tried draggin a playlist into this and it has a circle with a line in it and doesn't work. I expected to plug in and have it sync but no sync message appears and the phone is not being recognized in itunes. I have already confirmed that I have apple mobile support.

Ipod nano is already "named" and it does not show up as a device in Itunes...

I have a brand new ipod nano 7th generation straight out of the box, but it's already named as "Kathi's Ipod". How can I change this name? Plus, I've already synched it with my Itunes account and that worked fine, but it does not show up in Itunes under "devices"????? Please help...

Im trying to transfer photos from iphone 5 to mac. I successfully transferred pix via ipad mini using iphoto. However, when i try same with iphone, it does not show up as a device in iphoto. Any ideas? CSJ

Missing "message" from above: The iPad "DGMTR" is synced with another iTunes library on DGMTR's MacBook Pro. Do you want to erase this iPad and sync with this iTunes library? An iPad can be synched with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iTunes library.

Check your restrictions.
Note that default apps cannot be deleted and thus will not have an x.

Reply/forward to a message from iPhone, Outlook does not show status

If you reply to a message from iPhone, Outlook does not show status (if replied or forwarded the message). The iPhone indicates the reply/forward icon however in Outlook I would have no idea if I responded to that message.

You're right. Had not noticed it before. Hopefully Apple will fix this in one of their future releases.
