My iphone 4 has a blank screen, it is on and i can press the buttons and hear the sounds but i cannot see anythign on the screen. The bettery is fine and I have tried restoring it a couple of times.
I upgraded my software yesterday but can't remember what to (what ever is the latest varsion).

My iPad only has a blank screen. If you press the two buttons to try to get it to restart all you get is a faint light for al few seconds and then it goes back to a black screen. I did try to restore by hooking up to my mac, but I still have nothing.
First thing to try is a reboot of your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Hold those buttons a long time before letting them go. Also it might be best to leave the iPad on the charger overnight before resetting it.
If this doesn't work, it's time to make an appointment at an Apple store for a Consultation. -
hey i need help my iphone 5 all of a sudden has like an all white border around it and sometimes it has a blank screen what seems to be the problem?
Try turning off the following:
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Push>OFF
Settings>Notifications>Mail>Gmail>Notification Center>OFF

Just thought that I'd report that I've decided on my solution.
It seems that just making do with what I can find on the US store is the easiest and perhaps also the best way of going about it. All other methods mean trouble. I'm lucky that China hasn't outright blocked the US store, as they HAVE blocked iTunes music store in China already (something about a song about Tibet caused them to block the store entirely).
So yeah, just going to deal with it I guess. I should be grateful I'm getting anything at all, considering the country I'm in. Still, I just feel so ripped off sometimes when I pay for expensive devices and I can't even get much out of them do to my region. iPhones cost around $700 in China because there's no company like AT&T that you can just sign a contract with to get one, so you have to pay up-front for the phone, and get less features out of it in the end. Makes buying smart phones look like a waste of time and money sometimes, since you can't use the device to do what it was built to do due to censorship and not having any content for your region (though they do have a lot of Chinese apps that I can't use due to not knowing Chinese). -

When the user press the button Calculate Tax and click on Tax details then this should be updated automatically. But it does not work it is empty and the user has to update manually.
All setup looks fine.
Please let me know what can be done on this?

The iPad cover lock is for when you use a cover with magnets in it to lock and unlock the iPad when you close the cover or open it. Try running a refrigerator magnet along the sides of the iPad and see if that trips the iPad Cover Lock back into the settings.
That is not the same thing as the iPad Auto Lock setting which allows you to set an allotted time before the iPad goes to sleep.
You can try resetting all settings to see if the Auto Lock feature retinrs to the iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. This can be a little time consuming re-entering all of the device settings again. -

When you say restarting, what exactly did you do? Restart is to power the device off by pressing the sleep/wake button and then slide the power off bar.
A reset, which is what I would recommend first, is to hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot and the screen should come on. You may have to hold 15-20 seconds or more for this to work. -

If the reset doesn't do it then it's possible that the backlight or another part of your screen has broken. Unfortunately it's not really user servicible. I'd make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. If your device is still under warranty and they don't determine that the damage was the result of 'abuse or neglect' (their words) then it could be a free replacement.
I'd just do a backup before you take it in, just in case. -
Black Screen ....cant see anything but sound and synch works
My iphone 3g just stopped displaying anything. Its around 6 months old. I tried synching it with itunes and it backsup fine. I can hear the click sound when I attach it to itunes aswell.
If I try calling my nos from other phone I can also hear the phone ringing but no display just black screen. Its virtually unusable.
Any one faced a similar issue before? Please help!!Have you tried restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup and/or restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup?
If no change after either restore option, your iPhone 3G is still under warranty. Unless this was caused by accidental damage or the moisture sensors have been tripped, you would receive an exchange under warranty if this cannot be resolved by any other means. You can call AppleCare at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby. -

while i was on holiday i was using my phone normally, i put it in my pocket, the about half an hour later took it out and the screen was blank and it would not respond.
I have tried, holding the screen lock button, charging it, plugging it into my laptop and I have also tried to reset it (holding down the home button and screen lock button) and nothing is working!
When i was using it it had full charge so i dont know what is wrong with it.

I've lost my iPhone and have not got the finances to buy a new one, investigating insurance options but only 6 months left on contract so may not bother, however I want to get all my info off iCloud but can't work out how to get it, I'm not very computer savvy to be honest.
You can only restore the backup to another iOS device. Also, Apple will delete an iCloud backup after 180 days of inactivity so it won't be there forever.

My iPod was plugged in over night. When I woke up in the morning it had a black screen and wouldn't turn on at all. Also it doesn't say that its charging when it's plugged in and when plugged into the computer nothing comes up like it did before.
Reset it by holding the on/off and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider if it appears first), then release. You won't lose any data by doing this.

As the title says, this is a brand new iPod touch bought from a store, I plugged it in a commenced the "setting up" process through iTunes on may iMac. It got to the stage where it said allow this computer to access the device (or something along those lines), i clicked yes, and then a message came up "to allow access, please respond on your iPod touch. however the ipod screen is black, and pressing the buttons doesn't work. How can i fix this? or do I need to return it?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
