My iphone 4 has just switched on vibrate continuously automatically and will not respond to rest or switching off ! Help!
2weeks ago updated my iphone with the latest update and have had nothing but trouble ever since.
I have since trid to restore and update several more times but still with no success.
I have had countless issues with the phone from continuous freezing when trying to open apps, utilise camera, make phone calls, set calendar dates and more!
The latest, this morning, my vibrate alert auromatically switched on and now will not stop!
Its been going for almost an hour and I dont know what to do!
Have hooked up to itunes but itunes is not recognising the phone!
Have continuously tried holding down the start butto and front button to no avail
Help!
I have the same problem, but it happens sometimes. Since I installed iOS 8, I have countless issues, one of them being the automatic on/off of the vibration. It just goes crazy and then restarts. Is this a hardware or software bug?

Try resetting it while it is connected to power: Hold down the home and sleep button, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons. It is connected to a wall charger?

HT1414 my ipod has a solid color on the screen and will not respond at all what do I do?
I was playing a game and the it just went to this screen that is kinda red and will not respond at all. I have tried to connect it to itunes to restore it but it never shows up. Is there another way to reset it? Right now I am just waiting for the battery to die.

If not successful then do as you are doing, let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try again. -
My iphone 4s recently stopped turning on. I left it alone on the charger for a few days and now will power on just fine. However I have vertical lines going across the entire screen. I also noticed that it will not power down and stay off unless it is connected to the charger. Is this a hardware problem?
Try to Reset your device.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first). -
I was looking up a song on the internet, and my internet was being slow, so i was going to the settings to turn internet/wifi off so i could use data. When i did that the screen just went completely black. I didnt know what happened so i plugged it into a circuit into the wall to see if it needed charging. It made the buzz noise when i plugged it into the charger, and siri still works if you hold the home button down. I don't know what to do to get it to turn back on... If anyone knows what to do please help. thanks !

If you see a solid color screen (black, white or blue)
Plug in your device to a power source. If you see the low-battery screen when you plug in, let your device charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad) before using it.
Reset your device while it's plugged in.
If resetting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device.
If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.

Update on this issue - I got the phone to restart by forcing a restore with Itunes. seems to be limping along again.

Hello, so today I realized that my iPhone with iOS 6 is frozen on the music. I can get back to the home screen but I can't get the music player to work because its frozen on the w's and will not respond to touch. I would be grateful for any help on this.

My ipad has locked-up, it has frozen while running an app, and will not respond to any button, what do I do?
It simply stays on the same screen image, and does not respond to anything. When I plug it into itunes, there is no indication of its presence.
The ipad's clock has also stopped.

It sounds like you have done some great troubleshooting for your iPod nano that is not responding. In this situation, if resetting it did not resolve, I would suggest restoring the iPod back to its factory settings and then sync your content back onto it from iTunes. After updating some of my video editing software, my mouse seems to just "HOLD" on to an icon and will not let it go. Any ideas?
Thanks. Off an on did not work, BUT after restarting I hit sleep by accident and when it came back everything worked. Not sure if it was a fluke or will return at next reboot, but so far I am working well.
