My iphone 4 has no sound when on im on a call.
my iphone 4 has no sound when on im on a call. I can hear people, but they cant hear me I have no water damage, all the other sounds work, and im constantly losing service.... any ideas about what is going on? it would be appreciated!
oh and sometimes the sound works but it fades out as the call continues

And no, if your phone is vibrating when you get texts/calls then you're not in Do Not Disturb. You would see a Crescent Moon symbol to the left of Battery % if it was on. -

So my I phone 4s volume has decided to pack allowing only my phone to make sounds when I have an incoming call, I can also here fine using facetime and receiving calls. YouTube, soundcloud, any of I players will no longer play sound. I've restored the phone using iTunes on my laptop and checked all the volumes are turned up and the button at the left hand Side of the phone is in the correct position.
Try inserting and re-inserting your headphones 7 or 8 times. Also try cleaning out the headphone jack in case of debris that might be interfering with the connection/disconnection.

just installed IOS 7.0.2 (11A501) on Iphone now the sound when I play music is too low even when I crank it as loud as it will go. I used to be able to hear it when I mowed the lawn. not anymore. any suggestions?
This should solve the problem
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
It will not erase any of your personal data, just reset the settings.

My Nano has no sound when I connect it to my car stereo USB. The display works though
Why don't you try changing the input on the car stereo? I have a '13 Honda Odyssey and whenever I plug in my 7th gen nano I have to press a button labeled "USB/Aux" to switch to the Nano. I would also make sure to check that it is nano compatible, that the volume is up and that the stereo is on. Not to make you sound dumb, but you honestly might feel that way if you had the stereo off, I know I would (and have!)

My macbook has no sound when i go to system preferences there is a tick on mute and i cant take it off and it also says there is no input device do you know what to do.
Might be corruped sound preferences ..
Type or copy paste the following;
/Library/Preferences/Audio
Click Go the move both .plist files from the Audio folder to the Trash.

thanks...Sounds like it can only be one of two things.
1. The speaker is broken.
2. The ribbon cable connecting the two halfs of the slide is starting to go. The ribbon does give problems after a while. Sometimes when the cable starts to go, it still works when the slide is closed but not when extended. try it and see.
Both the speaker and the ribbon cable can be replaced at your local Nokia care centre. -

check and make sure that an alert style has been choosen for certain alerts, and make sure you check your sounds in settings
