You have Zoom on... double tap with three fingers to turn it off. Go into Settings > General > Accessibility to disable it.
If that doesn't work...
Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if, it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

i have connected it to itunes like i was told to do and it wont do anything because its locked with a passcode and its frozen on the lock screen and will not let me enter myt passcode and after a while it just shuts off, it has been doing this for almost 48 hours. I was told to hold the home button and power button to shut it down and that I could then restart it and it would work... Nothing has helped, What can I try???

Reset the device by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.
If that does not resolve, restore the device via iTunes on the computer.

Without a working lock screen button, you'll probably have to wait for the battery to go dead. Once it doesn't wake up by pressing the home button you can plug it into a charger and it will eventually reboot.

Has your phone been jailbroken? If so, you will likely never get it to work again.
You can try placing your phone in DFU mode (search google) and restoring.

My sons ipad2 has just frozen on the lock screen.

Please help! My sons ipad2 has kind of frozen on the lock screen. If I press the slide to unlock a white box appears around it and a voice says unlock but nothing happens. Also if I press the time it will say the time and show the white box but again nothing happens. I have tried to reset it multiple time with no joy.
I have also connected it to iTunes to restore it but it say that I have to turn off the find my ipad app, which of course I can't as I can't get past the lock screen and I have also tried to update it, however as my son has only a limited amount of space it won't let me do that either. I hope someone can help and thank you in advance for trying.

Hi Scarecrow1400, thank you for trying to help this evening. I eventually came across an article about ipad recovery mode and on the second attempt was able to restore the ipad to factory settings which obviously bypasses the 'where my ipad' feature. So, for now it's fixed :-) thanks again and I hope you have a great new year.
