My iphone 4 is not charging and when I connect it on the pc it says device not recognized!!pls help!!
Hello guys!!Pls help me if someone knows what should I do.my iphone was working perfectly so far but a couple of days ago it stopped charging.its not charging neither with the a/c adaptre nor with the usb through my pc.it says device not recognized..today I had my iphone switched off and tried to see if it was charging and actually it was!but it didnt show that it was actually charging(the battery icon with the bolt didnt appear..but after 3 hours it was fully charged..but this happens only when its awitched off..so i cant connect on itunes and i cant charge it while its turned on!!if someone knows pls help!!!!!!!!!!tnx a lot guys!!!
I actually had the same problem here you just have to change the cable, i dont know exactly why but i think its because when you have your phone swithced of then it doesnt need more electricity so if a little pass then you can charge it for a while and then the iphone will automaticly open again,, so just go an buy a new cable nothing to scared of

I updated my phone to the latest software and when I went to check if it had finished updating it asked me to connect to iTunes. I updated iTunes to the newest software too and then connected my phone. My phone stayed on the connect to iTunes screen and then it said I had to restore my iPhone because it was in recovery mode and I can't use my phone at all and I don't really want to restore my phone as I will lose everything as I haven't synced my iPhone for a while so I wont be able to get all data back.
i got corrupted file and it could not do update via iTunes for IOS 7.0.4. I did update directly from my iphone. It got through perfectly; however, ONLY apps that were on the first page could be seen. The rest of the apps was gone. Also, everything such as icon is magnified so big like 1/4 of the iphone 5s screen. omg a scary moment came !
I could not do anything even I tried to shut down by power button. so I had to hold the home button and power button toghether to force it shut down. It did shut down and restore to it normal condition as before. Good luck to all with new IOS 7.0.4 update. -
I awoke this morning to find my iPhone 3g in recovery mode. I tried rebooting, charging, and when I connected to iTunes it gave me a message saying I had to finish recovery first. My screen shows the iTunes logo and the USB cable. Any ideas?

Given the information supplied, it sounds very similar to what happened to my wife's 4. Locked up...came back on with a blank (bluish) screen...could here emails and text coming through. It would get very hot as well. Our local apple store tried two times to rescue it, ultimately rendering it complete inoperable. I'm sorry to say in our case we had to buy a refurb and trade in the phone for $150, which actually wasn't a bad deal.
There could be other information I'm missing, but I would start with seeing if apple can restore your phone. If they can't, then I'm pretty sure it's dead. -
i tried to up date my i phone 4 to iOS 5 then it wiped my phone and now it tells me to connect to iTunes and that the iPhone is in recovery mode and when i connect it goes to preparing to install to iPhone but never goes any further how do i restore the phone
by reset option do you mean the DFU restore? worked for me, have you tried that?
if not - hold the lock and home button until the power down bar comes up. then hold the lock button for ten seconds - next continue to hold the lock button and press the home button for ten seconds - next release the lock button and hold the home button for 10 seconds. this should be done with the phone tethered. If done right and your itunes is configured as such, the phone will reload the drivers and start up itunes, and then prompt for a restore/update. -
I have a mid 2009 macbook pro and my issue is that I installed windows 7 and when I wan to install the drivers it says " bootcamp x64 is unsupported on this computer model" I tried installing the drivers with the bootcamp 4 but it did not work either it says that i have a newer bootcamp version. I tried a few tricks but they didnot work. I hope to be helped

It sounds like you are unable to turn on your iPhone, and when you plug it into the computer you see the Apple symbol appear then disappear quickly. I would start by resetting your iPhone with this process:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

Guys, I just upgraded my iphone 3gs to ios6, it took 2 hours get it installed. However asfter installing there are issues with activating it.
Its getting failed every time..."says the activation server is temporarily unavailable".
Tried activating via itunes but no respite " says No sim inserted".
pls help.No, I did not find a way to fix it. Went to Apple store to be told that the phone is dead and I would need to purchase a new phone. A little frustrated with the fact that it is Apple who caused the phone to not work!

I have smart playlists on my iphone that i never created, a couple of them are duplicated and I cant figure out how to delete them. When i connect my phone to pc using Itunes these "Ghost" playlists do not even show up when I click "on my phone". These lists are there and they do have songs and work, I just want to get rid of them and I dont know how. Any help would be appreciated.
Okay. Try checking "manually manage music and videos", and then click the flippy triangle next to your device. Then select the items you want to delete and just press Delete on your keyboard.

by the way the nearest apple care center is two countries away .You have a phone that was returned as defective. How it got into the market again is anyone's guess, but the ONLY way to resolve it is to call Apple, and that may not resolve it either if it was pilfered by someone at an Apple repair center.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
