My iPhone 4 is stuck on the apple logo screen, help!
I tryed deleting some of my most used apps, and as I was re-installing one it was taking forever so i decided to reset it by holding down the lock and home button at the same time. It's been sitting on the apple logo screen for almost an hour now and plugging it into itunes or plugging it into the charger hasn't done anything for me. I've also tryed restarting it again but it still hasn't helped. Any suggestions?
Try restoring. I'm guessing you may have trouble doing this, so see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Apple Discussions HostsAdd me to the list of people furious with Apple about this problem...
...I have just got back from a 2 week holiday in Spain, and on day 3 of the holiday my iPhone rebooted itself and stuck at the Apple logo.
What's more annoying, I'd purchased a data abroad plan from o2 for £50 and hardly used it because I couldn't use my iPhone because it was stuck on the **** Apple logo. o2 will not refund the plan I purchased because I had started to use it (about 2.3MB to be precise).
Good job my girlfriend had her trusty Sony Ericsson phone because at least it WORKS as a phone, unlike this **** iPhone 3G which only has one use - as an expensive paperweight.
Come on Apple, at least admit there is a problem and show your loyal customers that you are actually aware there is a serious problem that is causing your iPhones to become utterly useless.
I'm seriously thinking of gettting rid of this iPhone and getting a cheap no frills phone - at least I can use it to make calls. -
IPhone 3G stuck at the Apple logo screen; will not boot!
My iPhone 3G has been working all day. I rebooted it because it was hanging when trying to use some apps, and now it's hung at the Apple logo. It will not boot fully. I have tried to reboot the phone many times but I get the same problem. I let it sit there for 30 minutes and it does nothing.
Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it without doing a Restore?
EthanOh, they know! I've had all of the above issues, tried every and all remedies several times, even uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. My phone froze up totally for over 24 hours after several attempts to sync and itunes closed then I had to reset, not even an apple logo, just a dim lit screen. Went to the genius bar, they replaced my phone. The tech said apple knows and is working on it.
Note: tried to book an appointment online, none available so I went and signed the standby list.
Luckily someone didn't show up, because they said some people wait for hours.
The new one is doing the same thing. I have yet to sync fully. my contacts & calendar sync OK, a few apps, beyond that nothing-no music, photos, podcasts, ringtones. Itunes hangs during syncing an application and iphone times out. the only option is to close itunes and reset the phone. Upon fully reset, maybe 1 or 2 apps are installed, nothing else. Resetting takes forever, it has frozen again with the apple logo for about 12 hours, and usually about 10-30 min each reset. I have restored the new one twice. Problem is, when it freezes up or times out, itunes won't recognize the iphone at all, it says no iphone detected.
I am now going to restore the phone again, and not attempt to install any apps until this issue is resolved. I have already spent hours on this, and really tried everything. I would rather have my music, ringtones, photos, podcasts etc than a few apps. Shame, because i've spend at least $50 in addition to numerous free apps.
Side note: I scheduled another appointment at the genius bar when my phone was out of commission for 12 hours, they are booked for three days in advance so the issue is still widespread. Luckily I was able to finally get itunes to recognize my phone and restore.

Thanks in advanced.Hey i kind of have the same issue.
I bought a iphone about 1 year ago and about 2 months ago i was not able to see any wifi connections in the area or connect to any even though i was sure that there was a wifi nearby and my fellow coleauges could connect to it with their iphone. I thought that this might have something to do with the "restrictions" so i went to turn the restrictions off but realised that it had a passcode that i had forgotten. I wasnt able to restore it within the iphone so i restored it from my computer. Once i had finished the iphone had a " connect to itunes " on the screen and it said that there was no sim car installed, even though there was. I tried cleaning the sim card and everything else, i tried connecting it to itunes but it just said no sim card installed. Now i cannot use my iphone or cant even activate it. I have also tried to restore it in recovery mode but ended up with the same problem. Please Help.! Thanks -

My iPhone is stuck on the Apple Logo and when I try to restore I get an unkown error (14) I dont know where to go from here there doesnt seem to be any other discussions like this
Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware. -

Hey adinat,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities! I would go through the steps in the iPhone troubleshooting assistant and see if that resolves the issue you're experiencing on your iPhone 5:

While I was updating to the new software for my iphone 4s, my wifi gave out and the update was unable to completely download. From then on, my iphone has been stuck at the apple logo screen. I have tried restarting it and plugging it in to my mac, but no luck. Any suggestions?
Did you try to connect in recovery mode to restore? iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to restore
Did you check the security software settings, to make sure iTuens can contact Apple during the process of restoring? iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues -
My iPhone is stuck on the apple logo ? problem ?
my iPhone is stuck on the apple logo and when it reaches it a messed up screen with vertical lines pops up and then it reboots over and over again , whats the problem ?
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

Stuck with the apple logo screen
So my iPhone is stuck with the apple logo. I've restarted my iPhone several times and reinstalled itunes. It just stays with the apple logo and when I plug it into itunes it freezes itunes. I can't restore my iPhone, because it's not coming up in iTunes. It's been stuck at the screen with the apple logo for more then an hour. I can reset, but it never finishes loading.
I'm hours away from an ATT or apple store. This problem happened to me. You have a "bricked" phone. The problem was addressed in the thread "Bricked iphone after the 10th sync". Sorry I don't know how to link to it, but it's in this forum, just another topic. I was able to resolve my problem following the fix given by "jsanders74". Good luck.

My Ipod is stuck on the Apple Logo Screen
For some reason, every time I update my Ipod touch it has restarting issues. I got it late December early January, so it's still new. The first time I updated it, it told me I needed to connect to Itunes and that it was in recovery mode and long story short I had to sync it from a computer that was not my own and it took two days for me to get it back up and running. This time, it's stuck on the apple logo screen. I tried turning it off by holding the lock and home button, but it just turned right back on. So then I was hoping that I could plug it into the computer and start it on recovery mode, but it doesn't even show up as being plugged into my computer. So now i'm lost at what to do.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My MacBook Pro fell and now when I turn it on its stuck at the apple logo screen with a loading circle underneath it. What can I do to get passed this?
Sounds like something internal was damaged in the fall, probably the disk drive. Take to Apple and ask them to fix it.
