The fact that it is physically damaged may have quite a bit to do with the fact that it doesn't work...

In order to backup to iCloud the iPad must be plugged into a power source, connected to WiFi and locked - meaning that it must be asleep - or with the lock screen only visible. This is for automatic backups.
If the iPad is not responding at all to any user input, try restarting it or resetting it and see if you can take the steps necessary to back up. You can initiate the backup manually as well.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
I installed a new wireless router on Tues. (May4) up until that time I had no problems using Firefox. Now I cannot get it to open on one computer, and the other it will open but will not load. Wondering if it has anything to do with the router, my provider or our computers. Again, it had been working fine. I am also unable to open interent explorer now on either computer.

we had to renew spyware which I believe was a newer version. We never had any problems running spyware and moz. before now. Can you give me the Crash Report ID by opening Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] and going to '''about:crashes''' in the Address Bar?
Also if no reports are submitted, try disabling addons one by one to figure out which one is causing the problem. -

As long as you're logged into the same AppleID on both devices, this is not a problem. It's only a problem if you're logged into a different AppleID and then try to associate FaceTime with an email that tied to the other AppleID.

are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

Let's look further into this! No, that shouldn't be the case. Does service improve outside your office? Are you a new customer? If not, did your previous phone experience the same issue? Try resetting network settings in Settings>General>Reset test and share. Thank you.

Image Capture is an Apple App that comes with the OS. Allows you to do a bunch of things. Import pictures from your camera is one. Open the app with your camera connected. If you have Aperture set to open when the camera is connected just close Aperture and then open Image Capture.
You'll see the camera and it should show you the images on the camera card. See if the images from the 29th show up.

I just got an iPhone 4 and I'm trying to use it on the t mobile network. The thing is, I've tried restoring the phone so I could use it. I haven't tried my sim on other phones yet. But I will try to see if it works. The iPhone is supposedly factory unlocked btw. Anyways, when I put in my tmobile sim, it searches for the service, but it always ends up saying NO SERVICE. I checked that my network says that the "phone not allowed". So I don't have 3G on this phone I presume. I heard that you need 3G to have service is that correct? But how do I resolve it? The iPhone does know that my phone carrier is tmobile. It just says no service. And I've tried restoring it three times and turning it off and on and it won't work. I don't have a data plan for tmobile tw! Hopefully someone can help! Thank you so much in advance!
If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. I have an iPhone 3GS that I dropped in water for a moment. After drying it and everything, it still does everything but get service. Can I back it up and transfer its data to a new iPhone 3GS? I heard something about how loading a backup from a water damaged phone could mess up the new one... is this true? I would truly appreciate the help, please let me know, thanks!
Sounds like your phone is in recovery mode. In this case, all data on it is gone. There's nothing to back up.

I'm having trouble staying connected to my home Wifi, it keeps going to 3G (I have never had this problem until today) When it is connected while I'm close to the router I click on the circled i after the linksys & it goes to the IP adress stuff, down a little waysafter the DNS & sarch domains it says Renew Lease - should I click on that?
DHCP is the system that dynamically assigns ip addresses from a pool of addresses.
You get a lease for the ip addresses. After the lease is up, the ip addresses is released and put back in the pool.
You get assigned another ip address.
Renewing the lease releases the IP address and assigns you a new one.
It will not cause any harm. -

Bit of a beginner using Final Cut Pro 7
Am currently trying to export a sequence using quicktime conversion. Sequence has various filters and effects over it and when I export it some of the clips are pixellated and appear to have not exported correctly. From what I can gather the affected clips have either been slowed down or made faster. I am wondering whether this is the reason they have not exported correctly
Any help would be appreciated

fwiw - do not use quicktime conversion. Use Export Quicktime with Current Settings enabled then do any format conversions in Compressor.

Unfortunately, Apple assumes that you will be using a simple modem with their routers. Something like this, for example, which will allow the Guest Network feature to work correctly, since the AirPort will be the main router on the network.
The Uverse is a modem/router, also known as a gateway......a device that combines the functions of a separate modem and separate router in one package. An example of a modem/router would look like this:
Because the Uverse is already operating as the main router for the network, the AirPort cannot take that role. So, the Guest Network will not function correctly with the type of device that you have.....even if you try to enable it in AirPort Utility.
Suggest that you use the AirPort router as your main network, and use the Uverse wireless for "guests".
Sometimes, it is possible to reconfigure a modem/router to act as if it were a simple modem. I do not think that this is possible with a Uverse product, but you could check with ATT on that possibility if you wanted to do so.
