Smart Guides Turning Off - Can't Turn Back On!!
I love the smart guides and use them all the time... unfortunately my smart guides have been turning off (I'm either inadvertently doing something, or this is a glitch or something going on) but after using smart guides on a document it all of sudden stops working. The only way I've been able to negotiate around this problem is by opening a new document and just copying my old materials in there and moving forward like that. That's a pain and and also doesn't explain what's going on!!!
When I go View> Grids & Guides ... smart guides is selected but the option is grayed out and I can't change it even if I want to. I'm really not sure what's going on here. Using CS6
Any help is much appreciated!!!!Okay ran the update but didn't seam to change the issue. When I tested the user ID I made a new one. The issue is that reguardless of the user id it seams like once it "goes bad" there is no getting it back. Since I'm working on these files at my job I'm on them for a while as part of a series or larger project. Its usualyl when I'm like 80%-90% done. Some of these files I've been working on for over a month and others I've only been working on for only a few days before the smart guides stop working. So far 3 out of 3 projects I've been working on have eventually run into this issue. Its hard to say when its going to stop working.

As soon as I changed de Pop settings in t, all my mail disappered in a matter of minutes, Why? How can I get it back? I did full backup a couple of weeks ago, can I recover it from there?

Thanks for the question. You may need to configure the outgoing mail server for the account. The following resource will outline how to navigate to these settings, however instead of adding a server, you’ll then want to update the settings with your correct username and password:

1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

3. On the Account Info screen, locate the Outgoing Mail Server section and tap the existing SMTP entry. A list of SMTP servers will appear with the Primary Server and Other SMTP Servers.

FONT BOOk user turned off, can't turn on
I am trying to install my fonts in font book for organizing. It says, users off. I have tried to turn the users on by enabling. I have also just tried dragging and dropping fonts into font book and nothing happens. Any ideas?
I'm not a big fan of font book. It makes you think that you have a good font manager when you don't.
If you have a lot of fonts then you should use a more professional font manager like Suitcase, Font Reserve, or Font Explorer(free from Linotype). If you don't have a lot of fonts then why use a manager?

My Ipad 2 freeze since last nite, been almost 24 hrs, last thing it did was this ""icloud back up notice ""appeared on screen, since then, I can't touch OK to get back to where I was , Ipad can't be turned off, can't do anything, first time happened with a frozen screen , it's still within 12 mths old.
any suggestions how to un freeze it, thanks ...?At first , after I followed instruction to reboot for several times as each time the Apple logo did not appear at all. So gave up. But half an hr or so later, turn it on to check, it seems back to normal once again.

Apps that come with the iOS devices can not be deleted - could have possibly been moved - check Utilities and other.

'm sure your'e going to tell me I just need a new phone but maybe there is hope for my iphone 4. It will not charge past 66% (it's not the charger), it turns off when unplugged, and it will not even let me turn my wi fi to the on possition. Help!

I have some information for you that can help you troubleshoot this issue a little further. That information can be found right here:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

If the battery was empty (and it may then take 10 to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

i have an iphone 4s and it just turned off and wouldnt turn back on until i got home and plugged it in to the mains. however it wont connect to my carrier and wont let me turn wifi on or use the internet. all my data is still in place. however when i disconnect from the charger it switches straight off immediately. it also just flashes up the apple icon (on 10 seconds, off 10 seconds.......) when i connect to either car charger or computer. it also resets itself every single time i turn it back on using the mains charger. please help me understand what is happening to my phone

Make an appointment at the genius bar and take it in for them to look at. It will probably need to be replaced. -
