My iphone 4 keeps shutting off and wont start up for at least 24 hours

My iPhone keep's shutting off when the battery is at 85% it won't even start up again i put it on the charger it take's at least 24 hours then it will work but it's freezes. Anyone have any Idea's it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Sure sounds like faulty battery.
Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer, hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the Firmware.

I have a problem with my iPhone 4. It randomly shuts off and wont turn on again until i plug in the charger. This happens at least once a day and is extremly annoying and i can´t really use it anymore. I´ve tried a reset but with no results. Please help me out, thanks

I know there been a while, but I just need to tell you this
I tried a restore and it didn´t work out. The same problem just continued and i started using and old phone instead. A couple of days ago I read something about ios6, and I thought: Why not try it on my iPhone that I don´t use? I installed ios6 and since then the phone have worked perfectly, except for one single hangup but then it was just to restart it. Ios6 beta 2 is actully really stable. I mean, now at least it´s a fully functional phone.

My iphone 4 suddenly shut off and wouldn't restart, i have looked on the internet and tried charging from mains, computer, pressing the home and top button together for 10 seconds to one minuite and holding the home button whilst connecting to itunes. My computer will not recognise my phone to itunes as it will not even come up and it is definately not the computer. I have re installed itunes also. Thankyou but it is definately not the adapter as my family are charging their apple devices on their and it s perfectly fine. I have since taken my phone to a repair shop involved with apple and they say should end my phone into apple and pay for a replacement, how can i do this?
