My iPhone 4 location is hundreds of miles off. Why would this happen?
I live in Iowa. Today my iPhone 4 has shown my location — in Maps, Find my iPhone, and Find my Friends — as in Toronto, San Jose CA, Dallas, and Mesquite TX. It keeps changing, and is hundreds of miles off from my actual location. I'm stumped as to what's going on.

Well I reformatted it but it did nt make a difference. Just for fun I tried to transfer the same amount to a Firewire external drive that I have and it went across with no worries.
So I will swap the drive across the to the firewire enclosure and see if I can transfer data to the drive, if not then I guess it is the drive, if yes then I guess it is the Shintaro enclosure or USB2.0 has issues.
Any other ideas?

My photos are syncing from my iPhone to the iCloud PhotoStream and to our iPad, but they are no longer syncing to our home computer (Microsoft operating system, not Apple). To change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.

I'm not an apple expert or anything, but after hearing this from a coworker (and doing a quick google search) many of the generic chargers do not work in the 5s (especially after the most recent update.) I'm thinking this may be the problem in your case...the charger is not working so the phone just needs a good charge from either an apple certified charger or a generic that will actually work with the phone. I've read some people are able to pull the cable out, turn it around and then plug it back in facing the opposite direction to get it to work. Many have reported, however, that even when this remedies the cable issue, its still won't charge the phone while it is completely dead (which is likely the case since it won't power on at all.) So if you haven't fixed your problem by now, go buy a new charger and see what happens. You might be able to go into and apple store and borrow a charger there for a few minutes to see if this actually IS the problem. That way you don't waste your money before buying.

Can you receive emails from other accounts when Wi-Fi is off?
Make sure Cellular Data is on in Settings > General > Network.

Whenever I take pictures in a dark place with my Iphone 4, the pictures come out with a purple haze. Why does this happen?
To make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the camera. If it still does not work, this is a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:

I bought my iPhone 5 almost an year ago and since the last 2 weeks my battery lasts about 2 hours or less, while before it lastre a whole day. Can anybody tell me why is this happening or how can i solve my problem, please? Thank you.
You can follow these steps to save battery.
1. Turn on Auto-Brightness - The iPhone has an ambient light sensor that adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the light around it (darker in dark places, brighter when there's more ambient light) to both save battery and make it easier to see. Turn Auto-Brightness on and you’ll save battery because your screen will need to use less power in dark places.
Find it in the Settings app -> Brightness & Wallpaper -> Auto-Brightness On
2. Reduce Screen Brightness -the brighter the default setting for the screen, the more battery it requires. Keep the screen dimmer to conserve more of your battery.

3. Stop Motion (iOS 7) -It's really cool, but it also drains battery. You may want to leave it on to enjoy the effect, but if not, turn it off this way:
Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion -> move slider to green/on
4. Turn Bluetooth Off- Turn off Bluetooth except when you’re using it to squeeze more juice from your battery.

5. Turn Off Location Services -
This allows your phone to know where you are and give you exact driving directions, give that information to apps that help you find restaurants, and more. But, like any service that sends data over a network, it needs battery power to work. If you’re not using Location Services, and don’t plan to right away, turn them off and save some power.

6. Don't Automatically Update Apps (iOS 7)-
If you've got iOS 7, you can forget needing to update your apps by hand. There's now a feature that automatically updates them for you when new versions are released. Convenient, but also a drain on your battery. To only update apps when you want to, and thus manage your battery better:
Settings -> iTunes & App Store -> Updates -> move slider to off/white
7. Auto-Lock Sooner -
You can set your iPhone to automatically go to sleep – a feature known as Auto-Lock - after a certain amount of time. The sooner it sleeps, the less power is used to run the screen or other services. Try setting Auto-Lock to 1 or 2 minutes.
Find it in Settings -> General -> Auto-Lock -> Tap your Preference
Few more things that would consume battery even when not is use are the applications that run in background.
Follow the below steps to quit all running applications.
1) Double tap on the home button on the iPhone ( this will display all apps that are running in the back ground).
2) Just click on the tiny red X to quit application ( if iPhone is running on iOS 6 and below) else just swipe yhour finger over the running app upwards to quit ( if running on iOS7). -

every time that i sync my iphone with a cord to my imac some large portion of my music is placed in the cloud so that i must down load it from the cloud. this includes music that i have purchased on itunes and other music. it seems random.

I recently purchased an Iphone 6plus and I am receiving pdf attachments that are shown as winmail.dat attachments on the iphone. When I check the same e-mail on my macbook pro the attachment is a pdf and I can open it. Why is this happening?
I had this problem too after i upgdatd to OS X Mavericks... only the songs on my iphone 5s that i purchased from itunes would play.
i read something about it being a syncing issue. when you plug your phone into your computer with the usb cable, the person said to switch from automatic syncing of itunes to the "manual" option. mine was already set to manual so i wasn't sure anything would work. BUT, when i plugged my phone into my computer, it started to sync all of my music on my phone again (top of itunes bar where song playing/time is listed said "now syncing 123/534 songs to x's iphone"). once that was completed, i checked the music app on my iphone and everything was back to normal!
so, i would suggest setting your music syncing settings to manual if you haven't tried that yet!

I've encountered a problem while synching my entire library. After synching I've noticed that only half of my library is playable on my iPhone. And a red circle with a Stop button appears next to the songs that didn't sync. Why is this happening?

Hi. I just downloaded Firefox 4. Some of the new features are missing such as the new "Firefox Button" and the new location for the bookmarks button. It almost looks just like Firefox 3. I am using Windows XP on this desktop computer. On my laptop, running Windows Vista, Firefox 4 has all the updates advertised. Why is this happening? How do I fix?

When i scan my ipod from the application named find my ipod touch 4 it simply shows location unavailable while that of my cousin's ipod touch exactly shows the same location..... Why does that happen???
When you go to the Google Maps app on the iPod does it correctly find your location? The iPod's locations service uses the location of the a nearby wifi router to locate te iPod. However, not all routers are in Apple's database and as of yet nobody here knows of a way to add routers to the database.
