Iphone 6 randomly shut off and will not turn back on - help!

I bought my IPhone 6 last fall from T-Mobile. My iPhone 6 was working just fine about an hour ago. Went to hit the home button to check the time and it would not turn on. It appears to have randomly shut off and now it will not turn back on. Tried holding the power button - nothing... same with the home button. Assuming I need to take it in for service, but I'm not sure if there is some easy fix for this.

You can try to press the home button and power button and hold them for around 15-20 seconds. This will perform a soft reset similar to pulling the battery. If that doesn't help you may need to restore it.

Just read that someone had the same problem on 3gs and someone had replied to press the home button and power button at same time, so I tried this and within a few seconds my phone had switched itself back on.

I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 to check it out. Being in beta, I was already aware of all the bugs that were going to be happening. After much frustration, I decided to downgrade bake to iOS 7.1.1. While I was doing this, my iPhone completely shut off, it will not turn back on even when I plug it into a wall charger or the computer, and iTunes is not recognizing it either. Is there any other solutions to this problem? Please help! Thanks

first: why did you download the iOS Beta 8? If you are a developer, go to the Apple Developers website and check what they can do for your case.

It's not even showing that it's dead and needs to be charged when I press the home button. It's been connected to charge for a good hour and still nothing. Plug your iPhone into a computer with iTunes installed and see if it shows up.

If the battery died, then it won't turn back on. I'd plug it in to the wall charger, and leave it for a few minutes. If that doesn't work, take it back to Apple.

Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset. If it's not charged, charge it via a wall socket for a least 30 minutes then try the reset again.
