My iPhone 4 rear camera is stuck and cannot be focused. How can I fix this easily?

Hi,
My camera won't focus on anything that is close to the camera which means that it can be frustrating when trying to focus text. The auto-contrast still works however. I'm out of warranty, can they still do this in the Apple store for free? I have read other people saying that it can be done at the genius bar for free, is this the case?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Has any of this been tried?

Double tap home button quickly in new row of icons at bottom, tap and hold your Message Icon until the Red Minus Sign appears, tap it to delete from background memory. Then slide all the icons to the right, all the way, see if the Lock Icon is present, if locked, unlock it. I just purchase my ipad2 2 days ago. yesterday, there was a sound. today there is no sound. there is a sound only in movies and you tube and music. but no sound on all apps and keyboards. I look it up and seems like ther are few that have this problem. I called walmart coz I bought it there and they told me that they have not heard that before but if I can't fix it, just return it and exchange it with anew one since I have 14 days to do that. "Sounds like you guys are using the same apple id for imessage. You will need to create a separate id for you wife. OR go to settings - message - receive&send and make sure your phone number is the default for both you and yoru wife.

If I understand your question, you are trying to update your iPhone, but you are seeing an error message that iTunes for Windows is not installed, is that right? The first step is to get iTunes successfully installed on your computer. Then backup the iPhone before updating the iOS software.
Are you seeing any error messages when you try to install iTunes for Windows?

If your music was purcansed from the iTunes Store and your country allow is you can redownload it
Login to itunes as yourself on this computer then

What iOS are you currently running?
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

Yes to receive an iMessage the recipient would need an iOS device (iPhone, iPod, iPad) and an internet connection. This is a messaging serviceprovided by Apple so the recipient does not need to check emails. If the contact does not have internet access at the time the iMessage is sent then a normal SMS through your carrier can be sent instead if you have "Send as SMS" turned on in Settings>Messages.

I'm not sure if there really is a way to "fix" it without diassembling the iPod in some manner. Perhaps you find or use some sort of tool that can attach itself to the center botton and allow you to pull up to try and pop it out. Kind of like the way a plunger works, but I don't know if you'll be able to find anything that small. :S
Perhaps it would be worth it to send the iPod to a third party service company who would be able to fix it at a pretty reasonable cost. A simple Google search for "iPod repair" should give you a number of results to work with.

As I said in the other thread that you posted in the other forum, your friend clearly has not restored the iPad correctly. I suggest that you undertake another restore and start again.

Welcome to the Apple community.
Given what you've have described, your friend cannot have restored the iPad correctly. You need to decide whether you are willing to delete his contacts manually, or carry out another restore. Personally I think I would go for the restore.
